Absolutely. So On that day you have eaten less calories. Even better

Hi Helen. The calorie count is taken as an average across the week, so if your goal is weight loss it should not be affected. We do however recommend checking the expiry date of anything you are not eating on its specified day.

Anyone else on 'jump start? First week I lost 2kg on the standard order. Second week thought I would try the extra menu and gained 1/2 kilo. The 'extra' is extra food so more calories. I thought it was a variant in the menu. Not helpful. Why?

As long as you stay close or under your calorie count I think it should be ok

Hi Charlotte. Lite n' Easy desserts are about 200 calories each and can be enjoyed as an occasional treat without having to give up other snacks - but if your main aim is weight loss, you may wish to offset the additional calories with a little extra exercise.

How long can a frozen lunch stay in the fridge for ( once it’s defrosted )

Also it is ok to have one cup of tea in the morning with BF?

On fasting day is it ok to have my Organic Essential Greens superfood blend and my vitamins in the morning or do I have too wait till lunch?

1 answer
Lite n' Easy
Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Leeanna. We recommend that our frozen meals be heated from frozen following the heating instructions found on the meal packaging. If a meal is defrosted, we recommend it is consumed the same day. Having a tea with breakfast is ok. If you take your tea with milk just remember to deduct this from your daily milk allowance (1 cup of calcium enriched skim milk per day). The Organic Essential Greens will be fine to take in the morning. Regarding your vitamins, please consult the packaging for instructions. If it is advised to have with food, we would recommend waiting until lunchtime to take these.

Can I supplement with nuts or fruit

1 answer
Lite n' Easy
Hannah M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Christian. We provide healthy snacks that adhere to the Australian Dietary Guidelines and ensure that your full meal plan is balanced. So, there shouldn't be a need to supplement the plan. If you find yourself hungry we suggest supplementing your meal plan with salad or non-starchy vegetables (such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, capsicum, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower, string beans, carrots or celery).

I live in a unit where there is security at the street level. Is there any method where I can be given an idea as to what time of day delivery is likely so that I can make sure that I am home.

1 answer

Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi John. Your order can arrive at any time during your scheduled day as there is no set time frame for deliveries. The food is delivered in a sealed esky with dry ice and can be left in a shaded spot for at least 8 hours so you don’t need to be home for the delivery.

Hi what’s the average calorie content for just breakfast and lunch on a 1200 or a 1500 plan?

3 answers

Each person would be different, based on weight, height, age & activity level. You can use the Lite & Easy calculator or personally i use this one https://tdeecalculator.net/. This will give you an idea of what your daily intake cals should be, and then you need to work out your average dinner calories, i use the app my fitness pal to calculate. For example my daily intake should be 1900 cals, i am getting lunches and dinner so chose the 1500 calorie plan. This allows me 200 cals for breakfast, and 200 cals for a lite dessert. Hope this helps!

Sorry I think you misunderstood my question i am trying to find out the calorie content of the 1200 and 1500 meal plans but only the breakfast and lunch portions together if that amount.

Lite n' Easy
Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Leash. If you include your daily milk allowance it's roughly 800 calories on the 1200 calorie plan and 1100 on the 1500 calorie plan - this includes snacks too. We reserve roughly 400 calories for dinner.

Terri
Terri

Hi Nicole, yes you can.

Lite n' Easy
Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Nicole. The dinners represent approximately 390 to 400 calories a day in each of the full meal plans. Some dinners are higher in calories and others are lower, however when averaged out over a week they fit within the meal plan calorie limits. So yes, you can pick any dinner meal you like. If you are selecting dinners from our Fresh Chilled selection please make a note of the expiry date and consume before this date.

I have skinny lattes. You can have 250ml of skim milk per day and if you don’t have the cereal options then I just use it in my coffee

Hi Lynda. We recommend no more than 4 cups of tea or coffee per day. If you require milk, use it from your daily allowance and try to avoid adding sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Can you drink pepsi max while on lite and easy?

2 answers
Lite n' Easy
Hannah M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Elizabeth. We recommend you avoid drinking soft drinks, cordials, fruit juices, protein shakes or other such beverages, even if they are sugar-free. There are studies that indicate artificial sweeteners such as those used in diet soft drink and cordial can increase your sugar cravings and lead to higher calorie consumption. We recommend flavouring your water with fruit, or trying sparkling water if you enjoy carbonated drinks.
