How do you heat meals . No micro wave

Choose lunch options without requiring heating. For dinners follow options on the packet for oven. Depending on the food I would probably ignore the instructions chuck in fridge to defrost during the day and heat in a saucepan.

Lite n' Easy
Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Roger S. The dinner trays are dual-ovenable so they can be heated in either a microwave or conventional oven. However, the lunch trays and some frozen components of the breakfasts and lunches can only be heated in a microwave.

Lite n' Easy
Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Esme. For food safety purposes we dont recommend refreezing any meals that have become defrosted. All frozen items must remain frozen until they are ready to be heated and consumed.

Hi Michelle. Yes, you can swap fruit. Simply replace fruit that you don’t care for with a serve of fresh fruit that you enjoy. A portion of fruit is about 150g.

Please tell me what your plans are to reduce the amount of plastic waste your product produces? I feel so ashamed each week. I know of 3 other people that have stopped using the product due to the waste? What are you doing about this?

1 answer
Lite n' Easy
Hannah M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Debby. Thank you for your feedback. Providing portion controlled, nutritionally balanced meals and meal plans requires a certain amount of individual packaging to ensure each item is kept fresh and safe for consumption. One of the positives of supplying single serve meals and snacks, is that it dramatically reduces the food waste which most households throw away each week (some reports have shown that more than 30% of food purchased by Australians ends up in landfill). Nevertheless, we are continually reviewing our packaging options with regards to sustainability and recyclability. One of the more recent initiatives we have put in place is the option for customers to return the plastic carry bags and day bags to us in their esky so that we can have this soft plastic recycled. We hope to announce more initiatives over the coming months.

Apparently Lite n' Easy uses fresh, wholesome ingredients. Light n easy do not add artificial ingredients such as MSG, artificial colours or sweeteners or preservatives

Lite n' Easy
Hannah M.Lite n' Easy

Hi James. Sulphites are listed as an allergen in our ingredients lists if they are resent in concentrations of 10mg/kg or more (as per FSANZ standard 1.2.3). According to FSANZ, this allows consumers who may be sensitive to sulphites to avoid them. If a meal contains more than 10mg/kg of added sulphites, the ingredients list will state, “Contains Sulphites”. You can view our full dinners ingredients list here: https://www.liteneasy.com.au/our-food/nutrition/ingredient-books/

Hello, I am doing the 1500
calories 5 days a week lunch and dinner to start my weight loss journey (this is what I can afford) - my question is if I eat breakfast I’d assume that adds calories so it would defeat the purpose of the 1500? Should I change to the 1200 so I can eat breakfast? Thank you

Possibly, I just had a smoothie for breakfast so around 250 -300 calories, which brought my day up to 1500. I also occasionally added extra green veg to my night time meal as I am a big eater. Hope this helps. Good luck with your journey.

Thank you mumma Mel!

For anyone else who may have the same question - Lite&easy advised me that the whole meal plan (breakfast, lunch & dinner) is 1500 so because I am only doing lunch and dinner I have a “free” 450 calories so I can use that as a calorie guide for breakfast I provide myself!

You can
Choose the calories option then next page when it brings your pack option click on it it opens up the lunches they chose for you and in the right it's an option to choose your own
Then when you click to your last choice it takes you back to your pack choice, again click on it this time on the top right its dinner menu click on it to "choose dinner options" and the page brings the whole menu lot for dinner to choose from
When u click to the last choice the page automatically changes to confirm your order

How come we can't use a centrelink concession card when some other health food delivery services do?
Also does it help if you have a high cholesterol? I have ordered from you guys quite a few times before but not a quite a while. I usually had got the 10 dinners plan. Really liked most of them and are quite filling.

I was booking a return flight to London and they wouldn't let me use my centrelink concession card either, yes I am being facetious. Now quite seriously, I lost 10 k's while on Lite'n'Easy and my overall health improved dramatically including a really good lowering of my cholesterol and blood pressure. Healthy eating can only help your health unless you have a health problem that forbids certain foods such as gluten intolerance for example.

Lite n' Easy
Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Matthewm8. We do not currently offer a discount for concession holders. If you have been advised to lose weight or to eat a healthy diet to control your cholesterol, Lite n Easy can offer just that. The food is nutritionally balanced, portioned and energy controlled. Our dinners have around 3 serves of vegetables, 7.5g of fibre only 3.5g of saturated fat. For more information on healthy eating for high cholesterol, refer to recommendations by the Heart Foundation or consult your GP or health practitioner.

Hi, does anyone know roughly how many calories in the 1800 lunch and dinner only menu? Thanks :)

1 answer
Lite n' Easy
Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Elaine. The 1800 Calorie program has approximately 450 Calories for breakfast, 550 Calories for lunch, 400 Calories for dinner and 300 Calories for additional snacks. Therefore lunch and dinner on the ‘1800’ Cal plan would be 1250 Calories (excluding your milk allowance). 1 glass of calcium enriched skim milk has approximately 100 Calories. Hope this helps.

Yes they change to menu to suit each season. It once was a case of only frozen dinners but now you can order salads for the main meal too. There is still a lot of frozen meals that are there most of the year but they do change from time to time.

I still have the occasional glass of soft drink while I’m on Lite N Easy . I don’t have one every week, just every now and again as a small treat . I’m a big water drinker so usually this is my preferred choice of drink !

Lite n' Easy
Kim M.Lite n' Easy

Hi Monica. We recommend you avoid drinking diet soft drinks. These are often sweetened using artificial sweeteners, which can cause cravings especially for sweets that can result in high calorie consumption. Lite n’ Easy takes a wholesome and natural approach and believes sweetness should come from natural sources. Try flavouring your water with fruit.
