Small dinners
Love the smaller dinners, as I am a woman in my seventies and I find the larger dinners too much for me, even though I love them. My husband has the dinners and thinks they are wonderful, so we each are happy with our own size of dinners. Great variety, I have never eaten anything I did not like.

Back to Lite n' Easy for more weight loss and convenience
I've used (and reviewed) Lite n' Easy some time ago but have just started gain after putting on weight from taking a medication. Now that I've changed meds, I discussed with my doctor weight loss and wanting to try Lite n' Easy again and she agreed this would be a good option for me. This time I tried 'Jump Start' for a few weeks and then moved to the 1200 calorie program with 7 days of breakfast, lunch and dinners this week. The website has loads of helpful information to make it easier to choose a plan that's right for your individual circum...Read more
stances. I like that there is choice, so if you're on it long term you don't get bored. I'm also on a tight budget, so I have to see results for my money, and I have - so far I've lost 5 kilos in 4 weeks. Having this early success has motivated me to keep going and my doctor was surprised and very happy for me too. I like the convenience, as it's just me I'm not having to worry about preparing meals for other people. I also like that the majority of the packaging (and there's a lot) is recyclable, and you can send back the soft plastics to them when you leave out your esky, and hard plastics I just wash and put in my yellow bin at home. I've only had one meal that I wouldn't order again (creamy tomato tortellini) but have a new favourite - Slow Cooked Beef with Red Wine & Mustard Glaze - I actually licked the plate to get every last bit, it was that good! Since I used them last time they've added some different options for dinners, including fresh chilled selections with a salad. As I'm in a regional area there is a $14 delivery charge so it does become costly BUT I'm seeing results, I'm not hungry and I don't have the constant temptation I used to have going to the supermarket food shopping.Similar opinion? Convenient, but too carb heavy.
The convenience of pre packaged portions are great. But each meal is packed with carbs in the form of bread, fruit and baked snacks. It would be good to see more salad or vegetables in each meal instead. Or the option of changing your fruit.

More treats please
Been on light and easy for a week now and I am finding it ok. I went for the popular choices just for the ease of first delivery. Half of my weeks meals were like roasts or similar with too many frozen carrots. I’ll definitely be choosing my own dinners from now on to get the variety.
I understand the 2 pieces of fruit a day but I notice that it actually replaces any option for a treat.
I looked back on other menus and noticed that you might get a sweet treat or a different snack about twice a week.
I feel it doesn’t really satisfy any slight cravings and am afraid being si restricted in this way may lead to a cheat every now and then.

ORANGES
Are there any other fruits that you can get your hands on besides oranges?? I throw all the fruit away, you send the same thing - oranges and kiwi fruit, in every meal, every week.
And then the fresh cut fruit is that disgusting honeydew melon, but.... if I am really lucky sometimes I get ONE piece of pineapple with it too. How exciting that is! Peaches, peaches, peaches, no other fruit cups available either - just peaches.
When I contacted Liteneasy about this, I was told sorry, can't help, apparently its all pre-packed? Where? the orange f...Read more
arm?? If I want other fruit, just buy it I was told. Why would I buy your meal plans, then buy my own food as well? Liteneasy don't deliver to me, so I drive one hour there and one hour back home again to collect it from the courier depo......for bags of oranges! I have done liteneasy many times over the years, but I am just sick of the same food and picking those disgusting peas and sultanas out of everything!! So I think today's disappointing order will be my last. These seem to me, to be all cheap options to place in our packs. Cheap fruit - same price for meals though!1 comment

Good food, helpful plans.
I'm still a bit hungry between meals, but the food is quite filling at meal times and high quality.
It was pretty straight forward to follow the program, the food was easy to prepare and enjoyable to eat.

Convenience is the key
Definitely for the most part I love Lite N' Easy - the convenience can not be overlooked and I mostly enjoy all of the lunch items I am provided and that each day is clearly labelled, I will admit that I enjoy some meals over others and come are rather small portions in compared to others. The only issue I have is the amount of fruit in juice they give you, would be good if they could mix up the snacks a little and be a tad more creative as I just end up collection an adundence of these and throwing them out.

Very very good
I'm loving the Lite n easy food, it is so fresh, fresher than my supermarket, not hungry at all. But if I feel like grazing I've got carrots in the fridge but their unopen. The program is super simple, don't have to wake up every morning and think what do I have for dinner tonight, it's already in the freezer.

Can’t live without it
The Lite n Easy program is so easy to follow and no meal prep time required. You can choose the meals you prefer to eat. There is enough food that you don’t feel hungry or need to snack unnecessarily. I can’t live without it.

Pretty good
Most of the meals are really enjoyable. The fresh fruit choice, mainly oranges and kiwi fruit are really disappointing. These are both out of season!! A couple of options would be good. Any of the meals containing beef has been really disappointing too, dry, chewy and has an old meat smell, I avoid them now!
I'm loving the conveinence and weight loss.

It is Light and Easy
I lost the use of my dominant arm so I am using Lite n' Easy for convenience and it is that. After some months I have narrowed down what I like but you do have to kiss a lot of frogs to find your prince. I am on 1200 cal and the meals are adequately filling. I made my own program: Soup for breakfast and dinner and a main meal at lunch. This I do about five times a week. I snack on dried fruit and nuts and fresh fruit with the odd chocolate biscuit or a Lite n' Easy dessert. Surprisingly, I am gradually losing weight.
Today I learnt that the food is only kept frozen till 6 pm. I wish they included that information in their literature. I wonder what people do if they don't get home before 6 pm.

thermal optimiser in the fresh part of your esky. This helps keep the food for up to 8 hours from when it goes out for delivery. There are no set time frames for deliveries, so 6pm is not an accurate marker in all cases. It’s best to collect your esky within 8 hours of delivery to ensure items remain fresh. Should you have any further concerns please contact our consultants on 13 15 12.I was told 6 pm when I called to ask because I was unable to collect till 9 pm

Too sweet and tasteless food - but good calorie control
Convenient ordering, exciting packaging, perfectly calorie controlled.... all this is great
Most dishes are extremely sweet (sugar added) and do not taste good at all
eg Fried rice / Nasi Goreng etc do not taste like what they should be
Hard to swallow food in the box because it is too bland and boring

Questions & Answers
KipchakChikasked
Have tried Lite'n'Easy many times and think it is very good - however I am allergic to MSG and occasionally I have experienced symptoms that coincide with MSG allergy - yet when I called I was told there is no MSG used in LitenEasy meals. Can you please confirm that you don't use MSG in your meals (including under other names?) I have 2 friends who have recently lost nearly 20 kgs between them using your meal plan so am keen to try it again but not if there is MSG.

Hannah M.Lite n' Easy
Hi, Lite n’ Easy avoids the use of flavour enhancers, including additive MSG (621), where possible. However, note that MSG occurs naturally in small amounts in many foods such as tomatoes and mushrooms. A full list of ingredients are available online at https://www.liteneasy.com.au/our-food/nutrition/ingredient-books/.
