Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner
I have had this vacuum cleaner cleaner for over a year now and still love it. I must admit, it doesn't glide over the floor when pulling it but it's been fine. The suck starts to get bad after awhile of using and I have to do a full clean of it (including washing the sponge etc in the filter) and after that it runs well again. I'm especially happy with the price I paid for it!

Stirling Vacuum - Pretty Decent
The build quality of these vacuums is very nice - there was quite a lot of chatter on them on Facebook and I duly lined up and got one with all the others at Aldi. It has a quality feel to the various components and certainly vacs well. As the review below, notes, it's not cyclonic so that wrong but it still develops loads of suction and I am happy with it for the price

Good vacuum but not great
I really liked this when we first got it but less so as time has gone along. First up - it's NOT cyclonic like a Dyson. It's just a motor with a big filter and a duct barrel. The more it fills, the weker it gets. When you have just emptied it, it has quite good power though. Cord length is good and it comes with handy accessories. Its OK

Worst Ever Vacuum Cleaner
Will not restart after 10 - 15 minutes of use for about an hour. Unless you clean the filter every 15 minutes after little use! To return it is a huge job and given it still works even if only for 15 minutes we are unlikely to get a refund. Do NOT recommend this vacuum cleaner.

Good Quality Vacuum
We picked this up from Aldis special buys based on our friends recommendation. It is very well made and has a quality feel to it despite being mostly plastic. It's fairly quiet and civilized when its running and does a good job with decent suction - not the best ever, but quite good. Cord length is a little shorter than I would prefer and emptying the barrel is a bit messy but overall this is a worthy vacuum and we are happy with it.

Great suction! Works perfectly since years. Read this for cleaning advise!
It's the perfect vacuum cleaner, the best I ever had. Light, small, great suction - the lot!
Bought it nearly 3.5 years ago.
Yes, I just read all the other comments below about people complaining about bad suction after a while and somebody even buying (with difficulty) a new filter. I never bought new filter for it.
But frankly: I expected already since years that there would be people having exactly the problem detailed below.
The reason is quite easy: Dust blocks these various filters in there and this reduces suction.
All you need to do, is clean those filters.
You'll probably think: I do! - But no, you do it wrong...:

. Not recommending this vacuum cleaner. Waste of my moneys.
Not happy with suction. Heavy and does not easy to maneuver. Not suitable to carpet floor. The word cyclonic was deceiving. Does not worth the money i spent on.
The fact that there wasn’t any sample for you to feel, try on, lift, handle it for good feel, read the manual, etc made it hard to choose.

If you thought your carpet was clean. Think again
I recently purchased an Easy Home multi cyclonic vacuum cleaner from Aldi. I was amazed! I had already vacuumed my house but you wouldn't think so with all the dirt the new cleaner picked up, and I didn't even have the turbo brush attached. It was so quiet that I could still hear if my phone rang. Fantastic, after the horrid noise my old one made. So easy to empty dust cannister too. The extendable wand is great for us taller people, means no more stooping while cleaning. Even on minimum power it does a fantastic job on vinyl and tiles, then maximum on shag carpet. 3 year warranty works for me. Get yourself one.

Disappointed. so close but yet so far
Bought today. $99. Didn't expect it to a great job. Was actually surprised. All fitted together easily, suction was very very good, the attachments good, except the small nozzle which is cheap and might well break after repeated use, but it does do an excellent job at getting into window crevices, was really pleased at its job on my hard floor and a light clean of the carpets... but then i sucked up a ball of dog hair, after 30 mins of trying to remove, i discovered that it impossible to get into the handle apart, but I did eventually ...Read more
manage to dislodge it. I continued using it being very careful, .Sadly i must have sucked up another ball, as the suction all but disappeared.. Im returning it. sad... because for $99 if I could have gotten into the handle and extender pole. It would have been perfect. - If you don't have animals or kids and r aren't overly messy then it'll do the job fine.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Impressed, for a while!
Started out a great little vacuum, used on carpet and slate floors, easy to empty and clean, requires no bags, which is a big saving.
I recommended this cleaner to friends, well it's been twelve months and the vacuum seems to have had its day, still works but the suction is miserable.Cleaned it but to no avail, seems 12 months is all you get but for $99 what do you expect!

It's not great...
Wasn't expecting much for the price of this vacuum and it didn't disappoint.
The suction doesn't last long, maybe a few uses before it renders itself pretty useless.
I own a dyson handheld which is brilliant on hard floors so the Aldi vacuum was purchased for carpeted bedrooms...the stick vac does a better job!
Wouldn't waste your money.

Worst vacuum cleaner I have ever used!
This vacuum has poor suction and clogs frequently in barrel due to poor design. It might be cheap but it is just a waste of money and also time due to frequent unclogging. I am going out to buy something more powerful - don't care how much I have to pay!

Worked for just over 12 months but worked well while it lasted
We got this vacuum cleaner September 2014 for $89.99, it is now 31 December 2015 (15mths later) and literally the vacuum stopped working as though it turned off. We used this vacuum approximately once every week to maybe once every 2 weeks and at 15months it died completely.
I will say whilst it lasted it worked without fault and worked well. I would say it was a very good vacuum cleaner with good suction. It wasn't loud, but not whisper quiet either, but its a vacuum cleaner so it is going to make noise. It was very easy to maneuver, stron...Read more
g retracting cord and worked well on carpet, rugs, floor runners and tiles. Honestly if it hadn't literally just died i would not have a complaint about it. The fact that it died well under the 3year warranty period was disappointing. But my experiences with Aldi are always good for returns and refunds, so stay tuned I will keep you all posted.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

$99 dollar vacuum exceeds expectations
This is the most recent Stirling Vacuum (5/9/2015), it looks Identical to the 'Lumina' vacuum offered months or years ago. We bought this as it was a cheap replacement for a rather tired Dyson DC29 (Which cost $599). It has vastly more suction (at 2000watt it should do). It clears far more fine particles than the Dyson does, even from new. Various vacuums we have used had irritating problems with the hose kinking constantly, the Stirling vac has plastic shrouds on the hose to stop this. The Stirling has a very long power cord (8m) and reaches t...Read more
o both ends of our small house with no need to swap power points. At $99 this is a good vacuum, Certainly worth a consideration if it goes on sale in the next few weeks. The only downside so far is that it has 'cheap' plastic feel, and the 'power head' doesn't spin full speed if you put any pressure on it when cleaning the couch. Pros The drum is easy to empty, easy to remove and re-attach. It has a really long power cord (8m), 3 metres longer than the Dyson DC29 we had. It has less vacuum hose kinks than the Dyson DC29. It's vastly cheaper than other brands, and probably one of the better budget vacuums. Has nice rubber edge on the vacuum head to protect your furniture.Similar opinion? Surprising vacuum at a good price, but make sure you clean the filters
When I bought my vacuum cleaner I expected it to perform the same as any cheap one. However, was pleasantly surprised and love it. I manage the house quickly as I don't have to repeatedly go over the same piece of flooring. One word of warning though! you need to clean the heap filter and the post motor filter. When suction was reduced I cleaned the pre-motor filter and post motor filter. Both are fiddly but it made a great difference to the operation of the machine. Unfortunately the spring in the crevice/brush tool has 'sprung out' making it almost inoperable. I hope I can get a replacement part. anyone else had this problem?

Good
When you look at the price of vacuum cleaners today, this is certainly value for money. This current model VC 460 Signature with the Hepa multi cyclonic filtration is surprisingly quiet and the wand length makes it comfortable to use. I looked at other brands at prices between $179 to $249 and they weren't the quality of the Lumina I purchased at Aldi.
Compact and light(yet sturdy), easy to pull around. I was surprised at the quality for the price of $99. Surprisingly quiet operation.
Haven't found a problem to complain about yet.

Further to the problem with the crevice tool, I report that Aldi sent a replacement and it arrived the next day. Great service.
