Is there a way to turn off the screen on the monitor (grand elite 3) and only have it come on when sound is detected or movement? It has a very bright glare at night and I have turned brightness right down

Yes, you can do this on the Grand Elite 3 Connect by pressing the first button (has a little house) icon) on top of the monitor and then selecting the first icon that appears onscreen (crying baby). Select the preferred sound sensitivity and then press the red 'off' to 'on' to activate.

Hi, we have a luvion grand elite baby monitor.
I have 2 questions, am I the only one who thinks the sound sensitivity is a bit poor? Unless my baby cries loudly we won't hear anything!
And secondly the monitor all of a sudden is not working! There is a huge black mark on the picture and lots of blurry lines! So now not only we can't hear properly we can't even see the baby! Is there anyway I could connect the camera to my iPhone?

Hi, I'm not aware of any smart phone interface but that certainly doesn't mean it doesn't exist, I'm just not aware! Also it sounds silly and I'm sure u have but is your volume on camera up full? My baby only ever had to make a slight whinge and I could hear clearly! Hope this helps...

You can't sorry. It's a bit annoying but there isn't any way to mute the button sounds. It used to wake my husband up in the night if I needed to press anything!

We have problems with connecting the parent monitor with the camera. It has worked without a problem for about a year but suddenly they can't connect. Is there anything we can do?

Try turning it off at the wall and unplugging power! Then turn back on and sync again! That worked for me when mine lost connection! Hope it helps x

Hi, I have the same issue. After a year the connection get lost and if I manage to get it very close together, the signal is dropping every second.

I just purchased this baby monitor and in night infrared doesn't work or I can't seen to get it to. What am I doing wrong?

The infra red will work at a minimum illumination level, so if there is too much light, like a night light it might come on. If not sure of the light level simply grab the camera and "cup" your hand around and have a look to see if you have a red glow illuminating from the IR.

Is the camera infrared & can you see the baby when the room is completely dark? My 4 month old sleeps best in a dark room, problem when I open the door to check on her she wakes up - hence why I am looking at a video monitor. Thanks

Hi CK,

You'll see I generally slam this monitor, because it has soo many oversights, very are major issues, but the STACK of minor issues with this thing make it hard to recommend to others. However, it's main redeeming feature is the infrared camera. With a pitch black room you can see pretty much everything, I think 4m is the range. Ours is on top of a freestanding wardrobe so we can see into the cot from above which avoids the bars blocking the view. But you can see every little arm movement and kick etc, and easily tell if there eyes are open (assuming they're looking in the direction of the camera of course).

There are other monitors with night mode though, I'd be checking them out if I was you, unless you want to buy a product designed by people who in can't even program a clock/calendar properly.

Cheers

This monitor can be used in complete darkness and can see everything perfectly. If i do need to enter the room i use the night light on the monitor and it does not wake my baby. I have had this camera on nearly 24 hours a day since bub was born (7 months now) and can not fault this monitor. Peace of mind when i can hear and see bub at the same time

The camera has 9 IR leds, nightvision is perfect. No cons for me, we love the product
