Waste of money

published

I bought this mattress for $2590 in 2017. I have had nothing but problems with it and I hate it. I am really hot at night when I sleep. Even waking in winter really hot. I can’t sleep on my sides without my hips hurting. I thought maybe it was just me but when I stay in hotels I don’t have the same
problem. I stayed at a friends place recently and she had just purchased a mattress for $300 and it was ten times better than my mattress. It’s a horrible mattress and not worth the money.

Purchased in March 2021 at Snooze for $2,590.00.

I love this mattress, myself and hubby have had it for over 4 years and still love it. Hubby was a firm and I was a plush so this was a perfect meet in the middle mattress. We regularly rotate it so have had no real issues with sagging etc. We will probably by it again when it's time.

Purchased in November 2021 at Snooze QLD, Mackay for $2,600.00.

Partner and I bought this mattress a few years ago after being sold it by “Sales” people. First night was where it all began. Sore back, uncomfortable after 5 minutes laying down.
Do not waste your money or time. Go for a different brand.

SO MUCH BACK PAIN!!! DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS!!!!

published

I bought the Times Square Madison in July 2022 and I'm STILL waiting for a good nights sleep! I tried many mattresses in the store and the sales person assured me that this mattress would give me a luxury feel if I was to purchase a 'medium' mattress. I wish I had gone for any other brand. This mattress was such a waste of money. I paid $1850 for it and all I get it pain.

After purchasing the mattress, the sales person said that at first it would be hard and take a while to get soft. Unfortunately now it is TOO SOFT and I have no support for my back and wake up with so much pain. I don't understand how people can give this mattress 5 star ratings when it is complete rubbish. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS!!!!

Purchased in July 2021 at Snooze VIC, Nunawading for $1,850.00.

Big Mistake!

published

Bought this about 8 months ago. (MADISON ROCKEFELLER MATTRESS)
It was good for the first 6 months and then started giving back pains. Deep dips (or body impressions as they justify it) formed inspite of regular rotation. Spent nearly $2000 for something that lasted 6 months.

Also, for this brand customer care does not get involved. I called them (Madison) and they suggested that my best option is to call the store (Snooze) for any warranty claims. The store said they wont do anything because it is not a 'manufacturing' defect and rather just 'discomfort'.

Purchased in February 2021 for $2,000.00.

18 months is just not enough

published

18 months ago we bought the king size Madison Times Square mattress and base set from Snooze Mornington.
It has started to sag really badly. Madison were very responsive and came out and took the mattress away for “assessment”. Surprise surprise it can back as “within tolerances”.
Guaranteed for 10 years, lasted 18 months, you do the math.

3.5k down the drain :-((
Off to buy a 100% latex mattress and hoping for a much longer life and better nights sleep

Best night’s sleep we’ve had for years

published

Purchased this King-size mattress just recently, and couldn’t be happier. We liked the salesman at Snooze Artarmon (Andrei) who did not subject us to ‘hardsell’ hype, and guided us through the process in an informative and helpful way. The delivery men were also very good. The mattress is extremely comfortable with a perfect combination of support and cushioning. The quality of our sleep has improved, as we no longer wake each other up when we move. The King size is the way to go, and we are kicking ourselves that we did not get one years ago.

I Love This Bed!

published

I bought a king-size Madison Times Square ten days ago and love this bed! My previous bed was a Madison bought 14-15 years ago and I loved this bed too so when it came to looking for a new bed, I only looked at Madison beds. For the past year I've had higher back pain and after my first sleep on my new bed (and every night since) my back pain has disappeared completely. I've decided to review this bed in about ten years as I think I left it too long before I bought my current bed, hence the back pain as the support wasn't up to scratch after so many years. I have no doubt that the next bed will be a Madison too.

Money down the drain

published

I started sleeping on our new mattress and after a short time started getting back ache and sore hips, I contacted Snooze to let them know and was told to keep flipping the mattress and that it was normal for it to have a few dips in it as it moulds to your body, I have flipped the mattress heaps and this still has not helped, I am still getting back ache every night. Do not buy this mattress

Lower back pain

published

I purchased six of the Madison Times Square mattresses for our new home that I'm not 100% happy with. I didn't try enough mattresses out before making my decision, I should have shopped around. This was my biggest mistake. I wake up each morning with lower back and hip pain I haven't experienced before. I have now resorted to a very expensive mattress topper to see if this improves my night sleep. If I decide to replace the mattresses I will definitely go back to the Sealy brand.

Still waiting for a decent night's sleep

published

Bought this mattress 5 weeks ago and I wake up every morning 4am with aching hips, back and neck. I have resorted to putting a low pillow under my knees to give some relief. Have just bought a second mattress topper to try to soften it. It's like sleeping on the floor. It is nothing like the test version at Snooze. Am tempted to buy a $500 mattress to replace it. So disappointed.

We love this mattress

published

Im the fussiest mattress person ever so I really looked around before we purchased. Bought it over a year ago and absolutely look forward to sleeping on it. Im tiny, and my husband is a tall 110kg and its great for both. Its a little harder once you put the protector on it but thats fine. So feels a little harder than in the store and can be a bit of a shock when it first arrives. Would recommend.

Hi there
Our Madison is slowly but surely on the way out the door.
Actually into the guest bedroom.
I expect much more from a so called premium mattress.
We went looking and chose this because it was the most comfortable of about a dozen we “tried out”.
DISSAPOINTED
look elsewhere.
We’re looking at Latex to try and avoid the spring sagging thing.

Times Square

We bought a Times Square mattress 2 years ago and are very happy with the comfort but we both get hot whether it is winter or summer and it is causing disruptive sleep. This has been since we bought it. Can you please advise how we can remedy?

Hi Sandy

Sorry, I don't have that issue. I do get quite hot when I sleep normally (in any bed) but I have found that this mattress works well for me. Do you use a pillow top mattress protector, or a protector made of artificial fabric? If so, that might make you hotter? I just use a basic mattress protector which is quite thin.

Have you tried different sheets e.g. cotton ones?

Other than that, you could go to the store you bought it from and ask if they have any recommendations to help you sleep more coolly.

Thank you Emm. Yes, we have a protector. Will have a look at that, someone suggested using the wool underlay, not sure about that.

Hi Sandy. This appears to be an issue with many modern mattresses because of the now commonplace use of memory foam etc. Most people don’t seem to find it a problem but, like you, it’s a real issue for me. After a lot of research, I solved it by creating a barrier between me and my Times Square mattress, which limits the mattress's heat absorption. Bamboo is excellent for that and I began with a bamboo mattress protector from Ettitude. That improved things but I was hoping for more. I now have an Ikea Rosendun mattress protector (which is 50% lyocell – another good heat resistant barrier) underneath the bamboo one. I also decided to buy bamboo sheets (they weren't as effective as the two mattress protectors, so I would put them last on anyone's action list). The problem is now solved and there hasn’t been a night since where I’ve felt uncomfortably warm. I hope this solution works for you. By the way, I tried a wool underlay as part of my research but it only made matters worse (even though many claim that it makes you feel cooler in summer). Regards, John
