A great product.

I very much enjoy using this appliance. It initially seemed complicated to me, but once I started I found it is easy and intuitive. The food processor is a treat to use for chopping, slicing, etc. Very efficient and quiet. The different sized bowls and attachments work well. The cooking bowl is a good size, but it is hard to get thick liquids and cake mixes out from around the blade. I found the steaming times in the recipes too long for both fish and vegetables, being the only "failures" that I have had with the appliance. Great for soups. The recipes are not Australian so one needs to adapt them to foods for our palate.

Brilliant machine

Wow, this machine delivered on my expectations... it mixes my bread to perfection and the bowl is big enough for the dough to rise before I give it a few seconds to punch it down ready to be turned into the loaf pan for baking. The clean up is easy.... then there is the versatility of the processor bowls going onto the same base. Soup vegetables get sliced or shredded in the processor then tipped into the metal bowl to cook and stirred at the same time, there’s a program for that too! My Magimix CE is used daily, the website is very helpful to find new recipes and ways to adapt my own. I have no regrets, this clever box of tricks replaces 3 other machines including a Thermomix.

top user friendly cooker

published

just starting to use it and found it to be very quiet compared to another device on the market. What I've made so far has been delicious and hot. The food is cooked evenly and I rate it very highly - if possible I would give it six stars out of five for ease of use, cooking and all the functions it has. The magi mix expert cooker also has a much better sized bowl for cooking and the after sales service to date has been pleasing.

After studying for a while what thermal cooker I should buy, I decided the Magimix was the one and it has definitely lived up to my expectations. It's so easy to use, the size of the bowl is perfect and I'm able to cook anything in there and it all tastes amazing!

Love my new Magimix Cook Expert

published

After a lot of research, I purchased a red Magimix Cook Expert and have been using it every day since receiving it two weeks ago. The CE, food processor and accessories are all quality products.
The pre-programmed options of the CE make the appliance very easy to use. My pumpkin soup has never been so creamy! The rinse function makes washing up easy!
In the past two weeks I have successfully prepared béchamel sauce, soups, curry, lamb stew, cake batter and used the steamer. The speed of grating and slicing vegetables in the food processor is amazing. I have discarded a few other appliances in my kitchen which I no longer require.

Amazing Appliance

published

I bought my Magimix Cook Expert over 2 months ago, it is an amazing appliance to have in your kitchen it does the most incredible spiralising, 1 pot cooking to make the most incredible curries from scratch in a record time, the quality is well renown and it even cleans it self! I am still learning what i can do with it and i have discarded many appliances because of it and it sits joyously on my bench so i can use it or any of the many attachments that you can get for it.

Super Handy

Still a newbie but I love the convenience the Magimix provides. I tweak many of the recipes as I think some of the flavours are under developed and the texture for meat dishes is altered with the blade attachment, but it’s working out well. It’s easy to clean and the volume is great four our family of 5.

Can’t believe how good it is!

What drew me to this machine was the safety features as opposed to other devices. I tried making soup once and used a blender previously, so I am aware of the dangers of kitchen machines! It still amazes me, when I forget to do the steps, the machine turns off and gives me a warning.

Once I started using it though, I was staggered how efficient and quiet it was. The strawberry mousse was amazing with so few ingredients. The secret is the heat control and the stirring function. I am gradually going through the included recipe book. Whilst this is an expensive kitchen appliance I Thoroughly recommend the product.

Amazing! Such a great investment!!

I have had the magi mix cook expert for just over 1 month now and am loving it so far. It was a bit overwhelming when reading all the different cooking programmes but it’s very easy and once you use it a few times it’s very quick to pick up. Every meal I’ve made for my family so far has been a hi, from dumplings to soup to pizza dough just being able to put everything in one bowl and just the touch of a button is very convienient and time saving, it chops, amazingly well I could never do that by hand. Also having the magi mix cookbook has been a huge help, with over 300 recipes you can’t go wrong! 5 star rating on every aspect of it, it is pricey but well worth it as you have 5 or more machines in 1!

Best Kitchen Aid ever!

published

I was looking at the Magimix compared to the Thermomix and I am so glad I bought the Magimix a few months ago. It was a little intimidating getting used to all the parts but I have been slowly learning how to use it for cooking rather than just for food processing. Been making soups and using it to blend dishes. Making bliss balls, cakes and smoothies have become super quick and easy. I have yet to try more intricate dishes with steaming or stews. But it looks very simple and straightforward with the AUTO recipes option. I also love that it is dishwasher safe and easy to clean.
Highly recommended. I got this in preparation for when I have a baby and I can see this as a time saver for me in the future.

It’s really a cook expert

published

Just had it for 3 weeks now, still so much to learn n get used to, tried some recipes from the cook book and turned out good. Now need to try to cook from family recipes and convert to cook expert. So happy with the purchase.

SIMPLY SIMPLE

published

When i got it home it sat on the bench for a couple of weeks i was to afraid to try it. It was the most i had ever spent on this kind of thing and i had brought a few different cooking aids that were meant to be the best . I am always experimenting with the cook expert and now i live alone it is a god send for time and ease. When i have friends to stay it is so easy to use and clean up. I simply love it. Thanks

Questions & Answers

Deborah P.

Deborah P.asked

I have had my CE for a number of years and lately the temperature setting doesn’t seem to achieve boiling point at 100 degrees. I did a test yesterday and it took 14 min to get 500 ml of cold tap water to a slow simmer. I needed to dial it up to 110 to get the rapid boil. The temp also seems very sensitive after 100 degrees with a rise in one or two degrees moving whatever I’m cooking from rapid boil to not even a bubble. It’s making cooking a little tricky as I feel I need to stand over the bowl and watch it constantly to make sure it doesn’t boil dry or not cook at all. Has anyone else experienced this? Thx Deb

I wonder if this is covered under warranty? These have a 30 year warranty so might be worth contacting customer support.

Hi,

What's the difference between the Australian models of the cook expert and the French models? I've seen multiple references of "new model releasing in France", but nothing about what said models include or how they differ. Magimix are you able to comment? Thanks

dsnovell

Not sure, I heard that too. But any new features, ie new program settings, you will always have access to, with their update program. You just download a file from the website and upload onto your magimix machine and its exactly the same as the latest model.

Magimix
Magimix A.Magimix

Hi Chich, there has been a new model released in France however there are no plans in the near future to release this in Australia. As dsnovell stated, you can update your cook expert aytime with software updates that we release.

Chich
Chich

Thank you both for your answers. Magimix representative, I understand the current model in France doesn't have plans to be released in Australia for the time being, however what does it include that differs from the current Australian model? I've read elsewhere here from one of the representatives indicating the France model has "Bluetooth", however didn't elaborate on what that Bluetooth feature actually meant. I'm keen to know more of how the two models different please as I can't imagine doing a software update will allow me to use Bluetooth on the current model unless the current model already has all the internal components to enable that feature, which I'm dubious about as if it did, then why not make use of it already?

Thanks

So a dough hook doesn't come with it? Is there an attachment that will do the same thing?

1 answer
Robyn
Robyn

The blade that comes with it apparently does just fine, but I haven’t tried making dough yet so I don’t know for sure. From what I can tell the dough hook you can buy as an accessory is for the bigger jobs. All the recipes I’ve checked out and decided to try out seem to use the standard one. Sorry I’m not sure if this is much help?
