Look elsewhere for love - you waste your time and money here
Talk about a waste pit of widowers on this site!
Every second bloke I have been matched with is a widower, lots of guys that supposedly live in Abbotsford Sydney and they have strange age range selections, for e.g what 40 something year old guy is really looking for a women aged between 30 and 79? Come on, 79 years of age -these profiles are not real. They are phoneys and zombie profiles.
After one week on this site the matches have dried up and no one responds to your messages.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the IT programmers of all these d...Read more
ating sites, (e harmony, zoosk, match, elite singles etc), just keep old and deleted profiles on the database so as to appear that there are loads men and women on these sites. If you go on other sites they sometimes steal peoples photos and put them on another online site.......food for thought isn’t! This is identity theft outright! And you think that the same person appears on another site under another name, and it was the individual that did it. Nope, I think it’s the IT programmers that are stealing photos from old and deleted profiles and utilising them on these sites.

Match.com is complete rubbish
This site is absolute rubbish. There is no easy way to terminate. No control over distance or age of people contacting you and the contact for the company for help is constantly defective. They charge alot of money for a very poor site.

An absolute scam
I entered this site last week and by the third day I thought something was fishy, I was getting messages from guys who all happened to be picture perfect, to good to be true and all happened to be widowers, what a coincidence, my mistake was not to check the reviews first because they confirm all my suspicions, today I deleted all my info and canceled my account, unfortunately I lost 107 dollars, 3 months subscription which they were too quickly to take it out of my account and they didn’t give you any options since you couldn’t use the site without paying, so much for “free trial “

Clever Scam & 100% Waste of Money
My lesson has been learnt: don't assume because it's on Facebook it must have passed some sort of probity check. I now regret not researching it before making payment. I have emailed Match.com regarding the bogus profiles and scam activity I have discovered and they reply with platitudes and a useless 1800 number. Examples of their fraudulent activity include: bogus profiles of dozens of women living in Australian place-name locations where no humans reside; two women with the same name living in two capital cities and having identical profile ...Read more
wording - which was lengthy and seemingly unique; blokes appearing in the Daily Review of 24 prospects when I have clearly specified I'm interested in women; profiles being unavailable when they have literally just liked you; one "member" pretended she was in NSW and I discovered she was actually in Malaysia; another "member" pretending to live in a small country town nearby and when she was pressed on details only locals would know she couldn't go past obvious information available on Google; being "liked" by women decades younger than my preferred age bracket who live overseas and interstate; and so on. Avoid Match.com like the plague. Here Endeth The Lesson !Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Waste of time and money
Joined hoping to just make friends. Account blocked twice, no reason given and no way to make contact. All inquiries go to the USA and they can't won't help. Short time spent on site reveals it's full of scammers.

Don’t join match.com if you want to find a partner.
I recently joined match.com having had success with it before. Not now, they for some unknown reason they put me down as a 34 year old instead of 71. I cannot change it on site as my password for this requires date of birth to log into it and I don’t the date they registered me under. Have tried every way I can think of to change this, including phoning which goes to answering service, and have not had a response. I have not found a match because the people who match me can’t see me. Would not advise my worst enemy to join this useless dating service.

Scamming match, nothing else
There are more scammers on this site than real people. There would be 1 in 100 who may be genuine, and then their membership has expired and they do not use the site any more but they still keep them on there.

Fraudulent card charges...no support from Match
I was charged $52 on my credit card by Match with a US phone number in the reference. When I contacted the US number they referred me to the International number. The International number only allows for a message, the phone is not manned. I then received an email from Match saying they could not identify my charges. Match also put the transaction through as a "signature purchase" which seems unrealistic for an internet site (where did someone go to sign?). It seems Match may be part of the problem and maybe complicit in this fraud.

Nothing but scammers
I have been on the site just a couple of days and every single contact has been a scammer.
Their questions are computer generated and I answer each question with 'scammer' but the computer generated questions come for awhile. One actually answered me back and said 'your a big fat scammer for calling me that'. I just said boo hoo and get lost.
Not one person that has contacted me has been a real person.

Money grabbing automated site !!
While I was free member, everyday I received emails about interests by pretty members. They also offered discounts ( but want commitment for 6 month). Once I became member the emails stopped. No interests no messages anymore. Except occasional email again to buy free message replies to free members

37 blocked scammers in under 7 days
I joined last Saturday as a one month paid member. Thus far I have blocked/reported 37 members who are scammers. It is a disgrace. I have emailed once and was told that i had emailed the wrong COUNTRY however it is the same bloody company. I have received a run around. I have been on quite a few sites over the last 12 months and this is one of the worst for contact BY NO ONE REAL. Buyer beware

Totally fraudulent.. spot the fake widowers
I logged on on the weekend and performed a fairly specific search, and hey presto, up popped three identical looking gorgeous men, all widowers, all roughly the same age with similar stories, but in different cities. One of them happened to like me, and when I started a conversation he, and all his lookalikes mysteriously disappeared ( you have to purchase a subscription to start a conversation). So I’ve just repeated that search and it’s amazing how many vaguely presentable men, with professional looking photos all have similar stories. Intere...Read more
stingly, they claim to have graduate degrees, or at least degrees, but they are fairly inarticulate and have trouble finding the capital I on their keyboard. They are also surprisingly short and unspecific about their partners. Thanks match.com I’ve got screenshots of all of these. Time to stop the fake profiles. Don’t bother logging in if you want to find a real person. Waste of time and money.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Absolute scam
I wish i had of read the reviews before i subscribed as after reading a lot of them below I know i wouldn't have signed up. Like the others... it appears a lot of profiles are fake, come from international locations and tbh.... some very attractive ladies who also don't seem to match their ages. I have been on less than a week and have already unsubscribed.
Anyway... do yourself a favour, don't subscribe and use that $100 to go out for dinner with a bottle of wine with yr best friend.... u never know, you may end up meeting someone. Far better than using this site.

yes it is. be very careful there are a lot of scammers with false information about them self's
on that website i had a russian women claiming to be from melbourne Australia yet she was on the other side of the world many have fake profiles misleading information about them self's .and match.com don't screen these people.i was called a scammer myself by a lady i didn't even know i kept getting abused whatever that was about i have know idea what's going on with that website i had match take my profile down i don't want nothing to do with them the people on there are very strange to say the least.i'm glad i wasn't a paid member avoid match.com like the plague.the other annoying them when you set up a profile i ended up with popups of other dating agencies all the time i never got peace it's very hard contacting match after many tries i had success not very organised.i hope this helps you and keeps you safe from scammers.
It is real but definitely be aware. Probably the most fake profiles I have encountered on a 'paid' dating site. I agree with Mark.. be careful. I have taken my profile off match and tried to delete my pics and profile answers descriptions etc... and I still get the occasional message from a member. Very annoying. Also their Customer Service is a joke... just have your eyes open - very wide.
