Rental lies and crap
The property manger has no idea and thinks she can make up the rules as she goes along. Forces people to get the house cleaned by there cleaner so she gets kick backs. The cleaning company they use has a foul mouth the female owner. They won’t allow tenants to use other people to fix issues upon end of lease. These people are scammers rude and should be investigated into there code of conduct. Don’t let them bully you and don’t use this agency for anything at all. How they are still in business well they shouldn’t be.

Our complex has parking bays for each unit marked in the common area, two units were granted an extra bay in the garden area of their units. One unit also had a marked parking bay in the common area, when granted extra bay in garden area they agreed to forgo the marked bay in common area. This bay became an issue with non residents parking in there. I did research through McNamee strata manager, she stated no records of parking bays layout going back past 2003. At meeting, was told by new owner of unit with extra bay in common area that they had found evidence (from 1991) of extra parking bay belonging to the unit, I asked strata manager if she was aware she said yes. ( I believe the evidence should have been provided to all owners before meeting) motion was changed to remarking current layout and (without prior warning/notification) making garden areas in front of each unit the responsibility of unit owner. By-law was raised to that effect. We were told if there was not 100% agreement returned to manager the by-law would not go through. I did not agree with parking side of by-law and another owner did not agree with garden side of by-law. When I informed the strata manager she informed me that if it was not agreed all the markings would be removed and revert back to original DA plan (but the two units get to keep there extra parking bays). When I questioned this and the lack of time to consider extra item and information at previous meeting she got rather frosty. She is now holding EGM to vote this in. We do not have an executive committee (8 units). If you question her she becomes hostile. In the past she has not included enough information on motions for owners to make an informed vote. She has caused a division within the units. Now have tough job of convincing other owners to ditch this company. Going to Fair Trading.

No Respect
I have had 4 Issues with this estate agency over the past 3 years. They never bothered to help or resolve the issues until NSW Fair Trading gets involved. The property managers are rude and Disrespectful people. The owners of the Company or Regulators should be able to fine or have some sort of disciplinary action for people who don't respect others basic human rights. They have no common decency when dealing with tenants or minor issues. They give tenants the runaround when it is in the best interest of the landlords to be made aware of particular issues. Their first initial response is always No, We Can't, It's the owner, We'll get back to you ect. This Real estate should be thoroughly investigated for Financial and tax issues, Providing misleading & incorrect information. Poor development standards of land blocks. They fit as many units on a block as possible without considering parking and street congestion issues. I suspect They pay off Councilmembers to get development approvals.Similar opinion? What a nightmare company - where do I start...
I bought a property from these guys. Agent would not return calls or answer emails. When they did they were rude and would not answer questions about the sale. Agent refused to pass contract amendments on, replying with one or two words telling us to contact the solicitor directly (without providing contact details). Incompetent
The strata agents are incompetent, ineffective and have very poor customer service skills. Repairs to the complex have taken over a year and no explanation has been given. Deals are being done with builders and contractors. The staff are rude, and unprofessional. They do not acknowledge or address complaints, and are unable to take accurate meeting minutes or follow up on body corporate members requests. Even the staff rate them poorly on their Facebook page. Avoid them at all costs. The collective IQ of the staff must be around 20.

McNamee manage the strata of a unit I purchased within a complex. These guys are absolute rubbish. I have never encountered such disrespectful, harmful and abusive treatment from a “service company” in all of my life! act on behalf of owners. If you are the unfortunate ones who are stuck with them, I am sure you won’t enjoy their rolling contract which re-signs itself before the scheduled AGM. This makes it almost impossible to get rid of them quickly. I am disgusted that they pocket 20% of our strata’s insurance premiums!!! Good luck if you can find their disclosure statement and see what other funds they're helping themselves to. These guys will pay invoices without checking that tasks have been done. They will not come out and visit the sight. Nor will they always seek 3 quotes. These people bully, intimidate and divide. AVOID McNamee AT ALL COSTS! The director is a rude, catty and abhorrent manager. Beware!
I rented a property in Queanbeyan for 12 months through McNamee & Partners. The property was run down slightly, but when we vacated we left it cleaner then when we moved in. We left only one week prior to the lease was ending, but our rent was paid well in advance so we were not skipping on rent. A year later I discovered McNamee had placed my name on TICA effectively preventing me from getting a lease with anyone else for 7 years!! Years later and I'm still battling with them to have my name taken off that list. They are a law unto themselves. Unhelpful, rude, and I gave up on a purchsse
This was my last email to them (names omitted) The question was whether I wanted to book an appointment to inspect strata records.. 3 days of trying.
The answer is simple. No! Not ever!
We will be retracting our offer on the property and we will state our reasons to the owner. Those being that we will not deal with companies who obstruct and forget their core business. I have better things to do with my time and my money. It's unfortunate for the vendor that your company became involved.

y in a block where [name removed] McNamee and Ptrs were the strata managers. I contacted them at least five times over a three day period requesting access to the strata records. I had written permission from the vendor which is the standard process. The strata (principal would you believe) started arguing the legality with me and even suggested that I should get my solicitor to obtain the records. I explained that I am an experienced property investor and that it was my choice not theirs. Then they suggested that I didn't have specific permission because the vendor had agreed to access records instead of stating which records. That is just plain silly and it was clearly an attempt by them to delay or deflect me. I became so frustrated with them that I withdrew my offer on the property. I explained to the agent that strata companies are much like insurance companies. ie. You never know how good they are until you need them. Given my first ever dealing with [name removed] McNamee and Ptrs, I felt that it was unlikely that their service would be up to the standard required. The agent and no doubt the vendor were quite upset as you can imagine, but she respected my call. Sacking them was the best decision we ever made
Rude, unhelpful, inefficient and probably passive-aggressive. I have never dealt with an organisation so determined to place obstacles in the way of its customers. I tried for nearly two years to have basic items added to the AGM agenda for the strata plan I live in. This is after getting nothing but 'tude off their lazy, disinterested princess of a property manager who thought she was infallible and always had to have the final word.

Overconfident Monopoly
I don't live in the area and so I should be able to rely on a Strata Manager effectively managing the usual sorts of issues that affect an Owners Corporation. These people are ineffective, lazy, unpunctual, immature and unprofessional. Unfortunately they enjoy a monopoly in the town and it's surrounds and that has bred a cocky and overconfident attitude. They amplify charges without explanation, are abrupt and rude and are unable to effectively manage. Trying to convince the Executive to rid ourselves of these hicks, even if it means paying them out

Nothing but praise
As strata managers these folk are knowledgeable and helpful. They have been my strata managers for 2 years. They compare very favourablely to my other experiences with strata managers.
Advice accurate, service prompt, fees reasonable. Polite patient professional. Director Jan Browne really excellent. I'd highly recommend them . The office and meeting facilities are very good.

[name removed] is a horrible real estate business. I have had nothing but poor experiences with at least five of the people who work there.
The girls at the desk are rude and impersonal. After six months they still don't ask how my day is or say hello when I go in each week to pay my rent. They don't even know my name or where I live.

eral occasions and has been rude to me and unwilling to talk and explain situations to me on several occasions. I hate having to go and see her in the office because she's so pushy and rude. She makes you feel like you are the biggest inconvenience under the sun and has absolutely no interest in spending more than thirty seconds with you. Other horrible experience include the scheduled inspection. I called the office three times the morning of the inspections of my property and was assured that someone was coming to inspect despite the fact that she was thirty minutes late. I called again to find out that she came and left with out inspecting because she couldn't get in. When the inspector came back she was ditsy and made me feel very uncomfortable she took photos of my house and looked at my personal items. Moreover my landlord decides to sell and we have since had seven dates booked for prospected buyers to come and inspect. As such the house was cleaned and time taken off to be there. All seven times the day before or the day of the inspections were canceled. The one inspection that did go ahead resulted in a very uncomfortable situation of five adults in my small house looking aimlessly at my belongings.Similar opinion? Rude rude rude. My 3 year old son would be able to get things done more effectively. I've been emailing, sending in written letters by other tenants in our complex about an on going parking problem. Photos have been taken by myself and other tenants for proof of illegal parking and still nothing has been done. Absoloutely terrible
They made too many mistakes, very unprofessional. I have unresolved issue for almost 4 years. They claim they sent out letters but we never received them. Missing documents. Unable to manage maintenance requests. The Ian McNamee sign on our gate is devaluing our property and owners are unable to sell their property.

Worst property organisation to deal with
The complete incompetency of the people that work for this organisation is incredible. The 12 year olds that work for them have no idea what is going on half the time with the property that they apparently 'manage'. Disgusting Service
I have never dealt with a more unprofessional and downright incompetent company. We were renting a property in Canberra for 12 months and despite numerous emails and phone calls, no maintenance was ever done and we were pretty much ignored. Trying to move out was just as bad. No response to emails and never get a call back. Whenever we call them our property manager she is either on the phone, out to lunch or in a meeting and will call back as soon as possible (she doesnt). We have just managed to get our bond money back, two months later. I would hate to see how they handle selling a house. Dont ever deal with this agent, its more trouble than its worth.
Everything, Disgusting service, Staff who forget about clients, or ignore them.

We owned a property in a unit development in Turner, Canberra. They were relentless in their pursuit of trivial matters such as, we had a set of draws in our foyer although our unit was the only one on this floor. We were forced to fight them in order keep the draws through the court, even having to get a report from the fire department to prove our point.
The draws couldnt be seen or affect anyone else in the complex we had to spend $4000 fighting a bunch of overzealous property managers.
In the end when we tried to sell this property, Three sales fell through due to the behaviour of the property managers as buyers were not prepared to buy into a complex managed by Ian McNamee & Partners.

Very poor productions
As an owner of a Mowatt St property in Queanbeyan and Trinculo Place I find their servicelacking considering the amount of money paid. Apparently we hardly get administration from them, i.e. when asked why they did not call to arrange an appropriate time to install a tv antenna, after we called them previously to tell them we are in a different state for 6 weeks, they asked whether we expected them to call 120 people. We said yes, what do we pay for (considering there is only 12 properties in the block, the max would be 24 people)?
