Where is my ring MH?!?! stop the lies!!!
Where is my ring MH!!!!??? After the 10th interaction with your 'customer service team' I am in tears! My engagement ring that was entrusted with MH Geelong store is now missing. I was told it was there, then not, then it was back at Geelong, then it was in the workshop...lies lies lies. I was finally given a tracking number for my ring to be retured via courier, 5 days later the tracking number had not been lodged with AusPost. After ANOTHER call I was told it would be sent. The parcel arrived today and guess what.... NO RING!!!!! I received s...Read more
ome random pair of earnings, NOT MY 1.5 carat platinum solitair diamond ring with a value of $18,000 (not purchased from MH). No note or message, nothing! Have you given my ring to someone else? Are the earnings a decoy to find more time to find my ring? No one is telling me the truth, I keep being told someone will call. I have gone ahead and made a call for myself and lodged a police report. Tell the truth! The emotional pain for this extremely valuable item, both financially and emotionally is unbearable. I just need the TRUTH!

Shockingly bad customer service
Faulty product so I contacted customer service. Waited a week for a response, and they then passed the buck onto someone else. The someone else didn't make contact for a week. To their credit someone finally did call me. I am still waiting on further action from the phone call...a week later. So 3 weeks total now to resolve an issue! Frustrating!

Sissy was the best sales assistant in queenstown store!!
Help to replace a faulty design of my engagement ring instead of just repairing it again. Let us pick a new ring that was to the same value that we paid, showed us similar designs. Explained the lifetime warranty better so now we know how to use it properly.. I was 1 satisfied customer! The particular sales assistant is what made it a great experience as I had been in a week earlier and got no where, this lady was fab and so smiley & friendly too!

Excellent service
I was given excellent service from Lisa in the Rundle Mall store who introduced me to Lifetime Diamond Warranty. I needed my ring to be resized at no further cost.

Micheal Hills will rip you off!
Why don't they buy their own product? Or they should be clear on the day when we bought it. if they not buying their own product then no one will. This Ring I bought from them for 12k is basically no less than any steel ring if you cant sell it.

We would recommend looking at on selling via a private means e.g. Specialised jewellery auction, Estate jewellers, Ebay etc. I would recommend arranging to have the ring valued (with the relevant certification) as this will allow you to ask for a more reasonable price closer to the absolute value.Similar opinion? Wedding band rhodium plating in 6 months
We purchased a white gold wedding band and a diamond ring for myself in March 2022. In just 6 months my husbands wedding band has gone yellowish and looks horrible. We returned to the store and were told that the rhodium plating had rubbed off during normal wear and tear and we would have to have it redone. We had to purchase the care plan. My husband works in an office, does not take medication and we are told this is normal. What sort of ring requires rhodium plating done every 6 months. Terrible quality. All information on every other websit...Read more
e or Jewellery store is it should last minimum of 12 months but up to 2-3 years. If we do the rhodium plating every 6 months it will actually wear your ring down prematurely. Every time your ring is rhodium plated, your old plating must first be striped off, all the old scratches taken out, cleaned and be prepared to have the new plating applied. This is such poor quality and terrible advice. This wedding band should be able to be worn each day. If not than advise your customer that they can not wear your wedding rings every day or advise which wedding ring you can actually continually wear. Maybe offer an alternative or tell the buyer how it will look in 6 months. According to MH the matter is resolved by selling us a lifetime of rhodium plating and this is expected wear of the ring. In 6 month you can expect this. Please be warned before making a purchase like this. I am sure No one would be happy if this was their ring or this was the stores and MH customer service teams resolution.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect customer experience every time
Have been a Michael Hill customer since 2004 and never had any issues with any purchase made in the last 15 years.
The staff at Chermside are fantastic and after 5 store managers still return to be treated as I had by the previous manager.
M is the best at making myself and my wife feel comfortable each and every time we visit and offer to clean all our jewellery whilst we shop even if we just walk past the store they make the effort to say hello.
My wife's wedding and engagement ring was damaged when jammed in the doorway at home, the repair was flawless and picked up by the"lifetime care plan".

Accused
My husband purchased a lovely diamond and emerald ring as my engagement ring. Within 6 months the large emerald was loose, I took it back to the Midland WA store that it was purchased from. There I was accused of damaging the ring myself and was told that because I didn't have a care plan I had to suck it up. I was furious, I went home and got the receipt and went back the next day. I spoke to another member of staff who reiterated the care plan saga but noticed it was still under warranty. She told me I she would send it away for inspection. A...Read more
fortnight later I had a call to come into store. A jewellers report stated that the metal in the ring was so porous that it wasn't worth saving. The report said a refund or replacement was in order. I was not given an option, as I now wanted to be done with MH and take my business elsewhere. A new ring was ordered as an exchange. I was then told had I had the care plan, none of this would have happened. I refused a care plan as I was sick to the eyeballs with their up-selling already. Guess what? 12 months later 2 of 4 claws have snapped off and the emerald is once again wobbling in its setting. I cannot wear my beloved engagement ring. I was told as it was out of warranty there was nothing they could do and reiterated their nonsense care plan. I never even showered with the bloody ring on, it was kept at night in a ring box and in a dish while i cooked and cleaned. Absolutely gutted that I can't wear an engagement ring that my husband scrimped and saved for. I will never, ever purchase anything from Michael Hill.1 comment

Michael Hill damaged my engagement ring and replaced the ring with a cracked diamond
My husband purchased my engagement ring from Michael Hill Parkmore Shopping Centre. Recently I’ve gained a bit of weight so went back to the above store to resize my engagement ring and I agreed to pay for the resize cost. A few weeks later, I received a phone call from the salesman to inform me that my engagement ring and the diamond had been damaged and that he would replace the ring and the diamond for me free of charge. I agreed. After a couple of weeks I came to collect the ring and found out that one of the cut on the diamond was off-set ...Read more
(see attached photos 1 & 2). The salesman then offered to replace another diamond for me. I came back to pick up the engagement ring second time and this time I detected there was an indentation in the centre of the diamond with multiple cracks originating from the indentation (refer to attached photos 3 & 4) Again, the salesman said he’d try to swap another diamond for me. I was waiting for nearly 2 months and no phone call from Michael Hill. I decided to call to ask about the ring and the salesman put the store manager on the phone. I asked about my engagement ring and I explained to her that it was Michael Hill’s fault to damage my ring and the diamond. She replied that if I wanted to replace the diamond, I’d have to come to the store and pay for it and then she hang up on me. She was very rude, aggressive and unprofessional the way she spoke to me. My original engagement ring has been destroyed by Michael Hill and they tricked me by replacing a cracked diamond. I wish I did not come to this MH store to resize my ring. I’ve lost my previous engagement ring that my husband proposed to me. My new engagement ring with a cracked diamond is still with the store manager. I’ve been feeling very disappointed and distressed about this issue.1 comment

I went in and picked out my engagement ring a couple of days ago, the lady in store said that because they need to resize this particular ring I chose more than 3 sizes that they would have to make me one from scratch and said it would take 6-8 weeks to be made however the receipt said it won’t be ready for 12 weeks!! How long does it normally take them to make a ring from scratch? I don’t really want to have to wait 3 months for my engagement ring.

Dear Trudy
Thank you for your enquiry. We do ask you to allow up to 6 - 8 weeks for the ring to be produced specifically for you however if you are able to advise which store you made your purchase in I would be delighted to follow up for you.
Kind Regards
Tracey
Hi Tracey. It was at your Knox City Store. If it was done earlier than the stated time it would be greatly appreciated. I am going away early October and would love to have it to go away with.
