Fantastic tyre, wet weather is no problem.
Put these on my fg xr6 and could not believe difference (can not remember old tyres). These Michelins are fantastic wet or dry. Push car hard around corners and have never let me down. Also super quiet. Could not get a better tyre to trust your family with. Let's face it, does not matter if you have best suspension, hotted up engine,etc...if your tyres are crap, you risk the lives of everyone in the vehicle. Tyres are what hold your vehicle to the road, you have to get the best. These might not be THE best, but they'd have to come a very close second. Amazing tyres! Did I tell you how good these tyres are?....:)

Perfect tyre wet or dry
I put these tyres on my 2011Honda Legend recently. What a terrific tyre! Exceptional grip in the wet and on windy roads. Smooth and quiet As well.
Very reasonably priced too in an 18 inch 100 Y .
I would recommend it highly particularly for those who drive in wet and windy conditions like what we have in Tasmania.

Fantastic value
These are great tyres- quiet, grippy in both wet and dry conditions and not that expensive for a performance tyre either. Running on 225/45 17s, I tried these on my R34 Skyline GTT after a few years using Bob Jane Xenon Z7s and what an improvement they are, especially in the wet! Instead of getting instant wheelspin and the tail kicking sideways as soon as I got near full boost and the car slithering around dangerously under acceleration or cornering (even at low speed), these Michelins just keep on gripping. I feel much more confident about driving in the wet now and dry road grip is noticeably improved too. I haven't tried them on the track yet but I'm sure they would work well there too

Almost the perfect tyre - Michelin Pilot Sports 3
My Aud A4 3.0TDI came originally with the Michelin Pilot 2. Those tyres, while good in performance, gave a rather hard ride. You could feel the road and bumps very clearly, especially going over a pothole. I changed to the Pilot Sports 3 recently and the difference is night and day. The ride is far more comfortable, The tyre is softer and the ride is very quiet and bumps and potholes are absorbed vey well indeed. The car now feels totally different with a very comfortable ride while still maintaining the classic Michelin performance in both wet...Read more

Great choice for 2002 WRX
Great tyre. Hard to believe other reviews re poor km with highway use. Drive fairly hard on rural roads and highways 40+k km per year. Have 55k on these and still ok. I'm careful with pressure and w/align. A bit noisy on rough asphalt but that is my only gripe (WRX not well insulated though). Handling/grip in wet is perfect, wear is good, price reasonable - what more can you ask of a tyre? Will buy again next time.

BEST ALTERNATIVE TO RUNFLATS
I have a 2012 Mercedes B200 Diesel that came delivered with sports suspension, 18" alloys and Goodyear Runflats. After 28000k it felt like I was in the Flintstones car. The Goodyears were noisy, unforgiving over bumps and totally spoiled the ride. I was ready to buy a set of 17" alloys and tyres with a higher profile until I read the reviews on the Pilot Sport 3. Fitted them last week and what a difference. Although not runflats I purchased a can of Slime and a small compressor which should get me out of trouble. BMW, Mercedes and many other c...Read more
ar makes insist on fitting runflat tyres. Runflats might be OK on the German Autobhans but on the crappy roads in Australia they are horrible. Pilot Sport 3's might cost a little more but they are worth every cent. Mine were made in Spain but I believe some come from Thailand.1 comment

Too good to last
I loved the Latitude Cross for my Hilux, quiet, responsive and well priced. The down side is I bearly made 30K km from a rotated set. Now they are no longer available. There is nothing on the market to match this as I now have Bridgestones and they are nothing better than a 4x4 truck tyre.

Awesome grip, terrible wear but priced accordingly
I'm paying under $700 for a set fitted 235/45/r17 Subaru WRX STI 06 model, they let me do things I shouldn't be able to do on street tyres... its amazing! down side only lasted 10,000kms and they were done, that's the price of good grip, my wear is due to ongoing gokart like driving just bought another set and will be adding more negative camber on the car.

Excellent tyre
I fitted these PS3s to the front of my wife's Mercedes SLK. Due to tyre load rating I had to fit Michelin Sport 2 to the rear. The car came with Pirelli P7 and whenever I drove the car, quite frankly, I thought what a boring car it is. With the new tyres, what a difference. Crisp turn in and an involvement in driving that never existed with the Pirellis. The car is now a sensational drive. My wife whilst not a "sports" driver has commented upon the quiet comfortable ride and that the car seems to steer better!
The tyres are still too new t...Read more
o make a comment on life, however, I note some of the other comments re life and feel I must comment. These are Performance tyres with a capital P. Michelin have other tyres that can offer long life, if that is what you are after. On my Mercedes ML 4WD I have Michelin Latitude Tour HP and am certain they will exceed 110,000kms. Different car, different purpose, different tyres. Tempe Tyres Sydney fitted the PS3s 225x45x17 for $180 each. The PS2s fitted to the rear 255x40x17 were another matter at considerably over $300 each.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Simply the best
I've had Bridgestones (original equipment, noisy, short life 40k km), Pirellis (noisy, very short life 30k km) and Michelins. This is my second set on this car (previous set got 60k km, as they will do if you maintain your vehicle correctly **note this, other reviewers complaining of poor tyre life**). I have always bought Michelins on my other cars, but in some moment of stupidity I thought I would try the Pirellis (maybe it was the calendar), and wasted my money. I should have just stuck with Michelins. Effectively the Pirellis cost twice ...Read more
as much per km as the Michelins and the handling and road noise is not as good. Anyway, I just did an advanced driving course. These tyres stopped my car in half a car length from 40kph. The other cars without Michelin tyres took between 2x and 4x this distance to stop. My car handles like it is on rails. It was really hard to get it to even hint at misbehaving on the skid pan during the course. These tyres are fantastic.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent standard size tyres!!!
Almost unnatural wet grip and very good in the dry. They just hold and hold and fill you with plenty of confidence, car is absolutely planted to the road. Rolling resistance is quite high so fuel economy isn't great compared to Yoko S.Drive I had, but that's not why you buy an EVO IX.
Being very soft, they don't last especially with spirited driving. I've done only around 3000kms on them so far. I'll try to write a review after 10-15k kms. Side walls were surprisingly soft which, considering the grip is good, isn't a bad thing for your back...Read more
at all. All around they are very good tyres for a sport car considering the price before and now. Updated 05/03/17 still runinng these same set of tyres even after 40k+ kms. Great tyres but they have been replaced with the new Pilot Sport 4 which I was told even better than PS3.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Well Matched to 2014 Accord V6
After 12,000 freeway kms they're still like new. They're very quiet, responsive and provide great grip. The rubber is surprisingly soft and the tread quite shallow but the open groove deals easily with water on the road.

Michelin PS3
I have bought these for my Lexus IS250 and i can only rate it neutral. The tyre is superior in terms of its performance, it is very grippy in wet weather and very quiet. However these tyres did not last very long, I have only managed to get roughly about 25000KM out of them(suburban and city driving), and the front tyre is quite bald already. I have also had two flat tyre occurring with these tyres, first was from a nail but the second one was actually from mounting the side curb. Overall I would recommend this tyre to performance users whose looking for superior drivability but i would not recommend this tyre to economy orientated users.

Wearing time for highway driving is terrible!!
Worst tyres for wearing Ive ever used. After 17000km of only highway driving they were completely bald. Pretty sad considering how much I paid for them. Couldn't blame the car since it had its routine 5000km rotation and wheel alingments, and the car itself was only 3 years old. Might be good tyres for zipping around the city - but definitely no good for our Australian Country roads.

Never again
After 9000ks one tyre developed a flat spot with feathering in this area went back to kal tyres in kalgoorlie for a warranty claim after not having calls returned i drive the 60ks in there and showed them they agreed it was a faulty tyre. after promising to return my wheel and tyre in time for a 1200k trip still no tyre when i rang them i was told it is not warranty as a result of extreem brake lock up causing the damage.this would be a good trick as ve commadores have abs on all models.the wear on the other 3 tyres indicate 30000ks would be about their max life i am 54 years old and don't hoon save your money and look for something that will last your moneys worth.

Best Tyres I have used
I have a Ford Falcon 2011 FG XR6 which run 245-45-R17 I run slightly higher air pressure 38 psi front and 36-38 psi rear depending on load and the tyres wear flat across the tread.
After 55,000k approximately and 12 months just about ready to purchase another set. Most people who travel with me comment on how quite they are. I have found these to be great in all weather conditions and road types including small runs on gravel roads all over NSW. What I like the most about these is that they are made in France not China. Some of the other brands I have tried charge the same for Chinese made tyres which do not wear or hold onto the road as well as the Michelin Pilot Sport 3

Just got 2nd set!
Despite all the high perf. tyres in this price range available, I've just replaced my old PS3s with a new set on my RenaultSport Megane! For such a sticky tyre I managed to get 45,000km out of them (80/20 urban/highway) and they stayed quiet the whole time. They also grip like nothing else and don't squeal horribly in the process. Compared to the Conti Sport Contacts The car came with they are superior in every way.
Good wear, quiet throughout life, super sticky.
Nothing!

Unreal
Well, after putting Michelin tyres on my car I couldn't go past putting a set on my wife's car. Said to my self, it's my way or the highway, I'm putting them on. Her car has been transformed with sports car grip, I still can't believe how much difference tyres can make to a car. Maybe it's because most tyres are now from China, even Dunlop's we get used to what we drive on, Michelin tyres are European, cost a bit more but awsome. Thanks to that rep again, nice.

The Best Tyre Ever in 30 Years Of Driving
Bob Jane Taren Point fitted Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres to my Mercedes CLK. It totally transformed the handling performance of the car with a smoother, quieter ride and superior grip in wet and dry conditions. I previously had Dunlop Direzza tyres which lacked grip causing rear wheel spin and traction control light to regualry come on. I highly recommend buying Michelin Pilot Sport 3 you will not be disappointed they are the best tyre I have ever had in 30 years of driving.
Smooth, quiet, superior grip, best tyre ever, cost competative

I've got a Ford XR6 - (245/40 18R 97Y) Need to replace my Pirelli P1 (worn out). Was going for the Pirelli P7 ($279) but have been told that the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is as good - possibly even quieter & cheaper per tyre ($214). I do country miles & odd dirt rd. Any experience or ideas which way I should go? V V

Hi Val, I would strongly advise you to not to go with Michelin. My rear Michelin Pilot Sport' tyres wore down to canvas in less than 2years (-40,000km's). I do similar driving to you in a Camry front wheel drive; so it totally didn't make sense, except these are a bad quality tyre. I requested replacement from supplier, who put me onto Michelin State Manager, he was dismissive and refused replacement. I would never ever buy Michelin Tyres again, these tyres where poor quality and unsafe. Perhaps talk to your mechanic for a recommendation, and spend the extra $ as obviously quality tyres are very important :-)

I am looking at a set of pilot sport 3 tyres for my car. My local tyre shop has asked which type I want? He said they offer an st and a dt version (in Australia) does anyone know the difference between the two. There is a $40 difference between them per tyre.
2 answers
I know ST stands for Slient Technology, not sure what DT stands for. I was not offered options, I got the ST version.
Now PS3 has successor PS4 now, should be he same price!
DT Different Tread Design (slight changes in designed pattern)
DT1 New pattern
and the ST in the tyres title stands for Silence Tuned.

Just added Nitrogen to my Pilot Sport 3's and noticed a definitely softer ride. Also picked up a screw in the tread. Was able to have it repaired. Would have had to buy a new tyre if I still had the runflats fitted.
