Brilliant Tyre
Installed these on my 2005 Holden Caprice (235/45/17) and I'm simply stunned at how quiet these tyres are, how smooth the ride is and how well they grip in all conditions. Usually these tyres retail for about $240 per tyre but Bob Jane did them for $170 each plus alignment, great bargain!

Perfect Tyres
I have a Holden Statesman Series 2 (2001 Model) that originally had Bridgestone tyres that were awful, I then had a set of Dunlop MAXXS and they gave me 15000kms and were as noisy as a truck tyre. I am on my second set of Michelin PS3's and have been astounded by their safety, roadholding and quietness on this heavy car. For me they are the perfect tyre.
Long wearing, quiet, great in the wet, impecable in the dry. Confidence boosting performance

Absolutely great
Better than Bridgestone Potenza in the dry and easily the best tires I've had for wet conditions. My Honda Integra has never held onto a corner better. The PS3's are quiet, look nice and functional. Will be taking these tyres onto a track sometime soon and will write another review then.
Sporty, Handles great, Quiet, Not overly expensive.
Not the cheapest but not expensive

Going for my second set
Have had a set on my Commodore for 18 months now, and I do a lot of driving in my job. They have given me 45000 km of driving pleasure. Using the hand free is even improved with these tyres due to the minimal road noise, even on coarse chip surfaces. Car getting serviced today and they said the PS3's are almost due to be replaced so had no hesitation in approving another set to go on.
Grip, Quiet, Wet Weather Braking
Many people are saying price, at $250 per tyre I have found them to be middle of the road.

Awesome tyre
I have a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on a Holden Commodore SV6. Originally, I bought them for the front as the old tyres had worn. As our rear tyres started to wear the wife bought a set of Dunlop SP Sport 3000 and had them fitted to the front (thus rotating the Michelin's to the rear). Unfortunately, the Dunlops worn well but badly when compared to the Michelins. Now all tyres are due for replacement as the Michelins have just reached minimum tread depth; twice the tyre life of the old Dunlops. Michelin, here we go again - great tyre, even wear with minimal road noise with no noticeable early degradation.

Michelin Pilot Sport 3 on Toyota Corolla 2011 Sport Hatch.
Just completed the first 500 kms on these tyres since fitment.. These have transformed the Hatch. The plush ride is outstanding for a sport tyre. It's quiet and the steering is brilliant. No push from the front through fast sweeping turns, just precise turn in. Such a compliant sport tyre with no harshness at all. Congratulations Michelin for developing such a perfect tyre that works beautifully with the Corolla suspension.

Awesome tyres
It is the best tyres I have ever had! The tyres are especially good in wet conditions and they are very quite. They may be expensive, but the are definitely worth it. I bought the tyres in my local Tyreplus dealership. I had Bridgestone tyres before, but these Michelin tyres are much better.

Very very good tire
I'm now using the 2nd set on my car and the have 1st set on my wife car fitted recently. With these tires, you can relax driving during the rain or over wet roads and don't have to think about "Aqua planning", because these tires take it so easily. I definitely buy it again. With the 1st set on my car, I got about 60k km out of it. It's also quieter than the original Bridgestone. The size is: 205x55R16.
Good handling, grip, especially in the wet condition.
Expensive

Excellent tyre
Excellent tyre. I run them on my VY SS and my wifes nissan Almera. They may be expensive, but the are definately worth it. Grip and handling in the wet is amazing. I will not buy any other tyre after having these. Pirellis where my last tyres and although they where good, I dont feel that they are any where near the pilot sports for hadling in the wet.
Grip, quite.
Expensive.

Quiet achiever
Brilliant tyre! Smooth, extremely quiet and incredible grip. On my Mercedes CLK 320 (235 40 18). Great car but these tyres make it even greater. I also love the look of the tyre. There was some concern in other reviews about the slightly rounded sidewall. Worrying g about nothing! The tyre looks great and sporty.
Well done Michelin. Must admit, I was cynical in the past about these big brands. These are well worth the money. Only problem is I ordered these tyres in November 2012 and only received them two weeks ago (feb 2013). Well worth the wait though.
Quietness, grip and smoothness.

Best tyre I've had yet!
Done 44000 klms so far with 5000 or so to go, awesome grip wet and dry and very quiet. Can't say a bad word about them. With my work i see a lot of road accidents, often in the wet due to cheap or bald tyres. Pay a bit more and buy decent tyres, for your own safety. On a MY08 WRX 235/40/18 42psi front 39psi back. I will happily buy these tyres again!
Everything worth the $!

Worth every cent!
After reading what seemed like every tyre review on the net to research what tyres to buy for 205/50/R16, I finally decided on Michelin Pilot Sport 3 due to reviews and high test scores on wet braking and cornering. They have transformed the handling of the car and I'm pleased with the quiet ride. I'm hopeful that they'll also be long wearing. After forking out $1000 for 4 tyres I can say I am greatly relieved that they are as good as I hoped for!
They feel safe and are quiet.
Expensive (quoted between 250-300 each).

Best tyre on the market for hot hatches
I have done both circuit and rally racing and like a tyre that has a good turn in feel, i.e. as soon as you turn the car in to the bend you can immediately feel the response of the tyre and the amount of grip being fed back through the wheel.
Historically I have preferred Dunlop or Avon tyres due to their excellent turn in qualities. However, my wife has quite different needs to me, so when we are buying a tyre for her use a balance of grip and comfort are needed.

Would buy again (if I could afford it)
I have left two reviews for this tyre under "Michelin Pilot Sport" - one when I first got them and one now that they're worn. I did not include the "3" in the original review so it has not shown up with these comments where it should be. Search again by typing "Michelin Pilot Sport" in the box above and you will be able to see what I loved about the PP3.
My friends also have these tyres on their gorgeous BMW M6 coupe (super wide 19 inch), and NO complaints.
Grippy from start to finish, extremely comfy ride when new, wet/dry handling and grip not compromising AT ALL, excellent braking, fast... er 'spirited' cornering
Pricey, fuel econ was up for the first 25,000km, otherwise fantastic and just what is expected of Michelin

Excellent
The car seems to glide over corner, so quiet, and comfortable even though firm. Dunlop 3000A can achieved similar steering accuracy on 35-36 lb/ft, but boy, it will shake the bone out of me! The effortless glide over pool of water on the road without the classical "pull" of the car to the side, inspire huge confidence. Thanks for recommendation by Jax tyres of Thornleigh!
Done 1000km on my Accord Euro, commpare to factory OEM Dunlop 2000E & 3000A, Noise over rough surface: 50% better than 2000E & 25% better than 3000A, Steering accuracy during ...Read more

Nicer drive than the old PS2 but thats it!
Mine is a BMW 530d. I was anticipating a hell of a performance corresponding to it's glamorous advertisement. But it did not transform my car as they said it should! Maybe if people were using low end tyres, it would have made a bigger difference!??
I driven a friend's car (BMW 535)soon after he installed his new set of CSC3 tyres and found them to be as good and more stable at higher speeds with lesser rolling noise! Over small potholes and undulations, the PS3 did not fare better!!
I like it better than the old in the wet roads. But it is mo...Read more

I've got a Ford XR6 - (245/40 18R 97Y) Need to replace my Pirelli P1 (worn out). Was going for the Pirelli P7 ($279) but have been told that the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 is as good - possibly even quieter & cheaper per tyre ($214). I do country miles & odd dirt rd. Any experience or ideas which way I should go? V V

Hi Val, I would strongly advise you to not to go with Michelin. My rear Michelin Pilot Sport' tyres wore down to canvas in less than 2years (-40,000km's). I do similar driving to you in a Camry front wheel drive; so it totally didn't make sense, except these are a bad quality tyre. I requested replacement from supplier, who put me onto Michelin State Manager, he was dismissive and refused replacement. I would never ever buy Michelin Tyres again, these tyres where poor quality and unsafe. Perhaps talk to your mechanic for a recommendation, and spend the extra $ as obviously quality tyres are very important :-)

I am looking at a set of pilot sport 3 tyres for my car. My local tyre shop has asked which type I want? He said they offer an st and a dt version (in Australia) does anyone know the difference between the two. There is a $40 difference between them per tyre.
2 answers
I know ST stands for Slient Technology, not sure what DT stands for. I was not offered options, I got the ST version.
Now PS3 has successor PS4 now, should be he same price!
DT Different Tread Design (slight changes in designed pattern)
DT1 New pattern
and the ST in the tyres title stands for Silence Tuned.

I've just bought my 2nd set of these tyres. I ended up getting 60000 out of my 1st set of these tyres and the grip never dropped off. They stick like s..t to a blanket on the road wet and dry. Brilliant.
