Great job on animal hair
We have two dogs and a cat and always have loads of their hair around the house up till we bought this vacuum a year or so ago. It sucks up most of the hair as it suggests it dose and is easy to empty and saves on having to go out and buy bags

Great power cable retraction speed.

Perfectly competent product
Was looking around for a vacuum cleaner as the bedrooms are carpeted while the living room and dining are tiled.
Decided on a bagless one and after doing some research, decided to splurge on Miele CX1 (Cat & Dog series).
Very happy with its performance thus far, the Cat & Dog series comes with an attachment that cleans the carpeted area brilliantly; it's almost a perverse joy to look at how much dust/hair it picks up at the end of a cleaning session.
Not exactly lightweight, but the heft, to me, feels like a quality product. After all, ...Read more
it wouldn't feel good if it's light (and flimsy). Noise level acceptable. Might be a tad tricky to vacuum around the stairs though; then again this probably happens to all non-stick type of vacuum cleaners.1 comment

It is very good
I like it as the suction is great but it is quite heavy to move around and the other problem Is the hair seem to get caught in the head quite often which stops it from vacuumimg until u clear the hair out, not sure if this is a common problem for all vacuums otherwise i recommend

A lot of Pro's but beware a few potential deal-breakers
I'm a die-hard Miele traditional vac fan. This bagless version is a pretty good first-attempt and clearly a lot of thought and engineering has gone into the BLizzard CX1. But...
PRO's
- Great new turbo head design for carpets and pet Hair
- Easy to empty and clean dust bin, although as with other bagless cleaners it can be mess / counter-productive
- Sounds like a vacuum cleaner should - no jet engine screaming at you like a Dyson
- Relatively quiet at full power
- Excellent re-designed new main hose and telescopic wand.
- The brush attachment is built into the telescopic wand, I’ve found it handy.
- No more $25 boxes of 4 bags to purchase

Good but not quite perfect
I will start by saying that i am a little vacuum obsessed. Having a number of Miele and Dyson machines.
I think all of the Miele's have great build quality, much better than Dyson.
I also have the bagged cat and dog, but waited until I managed to get this at a great price as i do like bagless as you can see what you are getting out of your carpet. That sense of satisfaction for all your hard work cleaning up!
First off, I had an issue with the turbo head on this machine. It makes horrible screeching noises when it rolls on the carpet. I ...Read more
contacted Miele who straight away offered to replace under warranty, however they did replace with the old black turbo head rather than the new one. Pros - Great suction - Easy to empty and not messySimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best I've ever had
This German made vacuum cleaner is fantastic. Quality all the way from the design to performance. Don't be fooled by its modest 1100W power. This machine really sucks (in a positive way). And it that was not enough it has a turbo brush included in the package. It's much quieter and stronger than my previous 2400W cleaner. Currently on special at Harvey Norman (and I suppose other retailers) for $499.00.

What Miele should have produced years ago
This vacuum is fantastic. We have a museum of vacuum cleaners from Dyson to Miele.
I would say the suction is Inbetween our old Miele which kept cutting out and was next to useless to use properly and the Dyson
The build quality is better than the Dyson and it is really easy to move around. Great accessories as well.

Excellent
I researched vacuums because I was disappointed in the previous owned ones. The cat and dog does both hard and carpet. Its suction is outstanding. The rollers make it easier to pull around behind you. Heavier then others, but very easy to clean.
Suction - excellent
Performance - excellent
Noise - moderate
Maneuverability - very good
Downside
Changing heads - I have arthritis in my hands and find it extremely difficult to change from hard floor to soft. This is something that needs to be addressed, but over all a great cleaner.
After researching price, I got mine for nearly 250.00 cheaper from Betta Electric. I took their price to the local Betta store and got it for that price.

Great machine
Bought this machine when my Dyson broke, I didn't like my Dyson so knew I needed something better. This machine has great suction, easy to use & very quiet. We have very thick pile carpet which this goes over easily. I found it fairly easy to move around except when the cord gets caught under the wheels. Like the way the vacuum has a holder for the handle to store when not in use.

A Must For EVERY Pet Owner!
This machine works absolute wonders! The Blizzard Cat & Dog is a sleek and compact unit that glides across any surface with ease, allowing you to get a fantastic deep clean every time. At the back of the vacuum sits the attachable upholstery and crevice nozzle, each in their own little compartments - a perfectionists dream! Our puppy barks at almost anything and he had absolutely no issues with the incredibly quiet Blizzard. The telescopic tube is ergonomic and easily twists to reach under the bed, couch and dining table and has a powerful suct...Read more

Good Vacuum cleaner overall but bagless canister design needs a bit more work
I have owed the vacuum cleaner for about 3 weeks, overall it's fairly good, here's the pro's and cons:
Pros
Quiet, this is the quietest vacuum cleaner I have ever owned
Good suction, works well on carpet and floating floor.
Easy to manoeuvre, the 4 small wheels roll fairly well, despite being a little weighty the wheels make it feel less so.
The hose fittings are good, its easy to remove the heads and adjust the height of the stick.
Cons
The bagless canister system feels a bit flimsy mine broke in only a few weeks, fortunately Miele cust...Read more

PUG OWNERS REJOICE
Super sturdy light weight and reliable. Great quality is guaranteed. Does not overheat or is too noisy. I have the Dog and Cat model and own a Pug - any Pug owner will understand what I mean and how important a good vacuum cleaner is and this does the job well! My only grief is the ridiculous price of its bags, $25 for 4 + 2 filters.

Awesome machine with constant suction!
Awesome little unit, not too heavy but not light either! She'll get the job done only downside is when emptying the cylinder as it can get a little messy so be sure to empty the unit outside of the house!
Also of note make sure you constantly empty / clean the machine for optimal performance :)

Very good vacuum
Bought this one because my dyson v6 can't move on long pile carpet. This vacuum is very powerful and can adjust suction level. The bagless design is great. Very easy to open and undo to clean it. It comes with 2 main head. Can clean both hard floor and carpet very well.

Loving my Miele
Always had a Miele Bagged Vac but this new model is amazing.
Really enjoying the cleaning power which is the cat and dog head. This has really lifted the carpet and a true test is when you see carpet lines appearing after i have cleaned.
I once had an inbuilt and this is 5 times the suction... amazing difference.
Having the accessories on the unit is also handy and convenient.

Great suction power! Step aside Dyson. Although a few niggles
After having (a housemates) Dyson DC35 stick vacuum, with woeful suction, poor filtration, and a pathetic run time, I was shocked at what was pulled out of the carpet. After one bedroom, I needed to empty the dust container! The Turbo nozzle is great at lifting the carpet pile, and lifting cat fur, threads, etc. There is also a standard 'Allteq' floor head included. The suction is outstanding, with no noticable loss of suction (take that overhyped and over priced Dyson!) with an rotary suction control on the machine.

vels. Downstairs is completely tiles, apart from a couple of mats. The stairs and upstairs, all carpet except for the bathrooms. The carpet is quite a magnet for everything, it's cheap and nasty. It's a rental property, I certainly didn't pick the carpet! This is where that Turbo nozzle comes in to get everything out of the cut pile. The vacuum is easy to manoeuvre. However, unlike most of Miele's bagged range, there is no bumper strip as such, so you need to be careful when pulling the vacuum along. The noise level is hushed, but not as quiet as the Miele Complete C3 Hard Floor I had previously (I had to leave it behind when I moved from NZ). Probably due to the actual design of the machine, being bagless with a 'vortex,' etc. The dust container is easy to empty, and the Comfort Clean feature is great. It will activate automatically, or you can activate it manually, especially after vacuuming a large amount of dust at once. Essentially what it does it rotates little ribs on the inside of the pleated fine dust filter against it, flicking the dust out of the filter and into the bottom of the filter housing. A brilliant idea, as it cleans and unblocks the filter, without you getting exposed to dust. Once or twice a year this filter and housing needs rinsing out and drying for 24 hours Now the niggles of the machine so far.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Questions & Answers
Dana H.asked
I bought my first Miele in Nov/Dec 2022 and it worked brilliantly. A month in I was losing suction and the roller barely spinning. Suction from the machine seemed ok but the roller. I longer spinning. I had trouble shooted as well as regularly cleaned the filter. Due to not having a rep close by I was told to take the unit back to place of purchase and they exchanged it in early January 2020. Now, 8 weeks later I have the same problem except the roller is also stiffer and nit moving. I’ve been a Dyson owner for 25 years and not happy with the lady dries of their animal ball and initially felt the Miele was my savior. I’m very disappointed and not sure what else to do.

I'm finding the brush roller becomes clogged with dog hair within 10 minutes of cleaning it. (The dog is an Australian Shepherd https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/425801339760976683/?lp=true) Cleaning it involves cutting the fur carefully with scissors - so as not to cut the bristles of the brush - then pulling the fur out. This alone takes nearly five minutes. Is there an easier way of cleaning the brush?

It's a pig to clean. You could easily take the back off of the turbo brush on my old Dyson, this one is screwed down with no access.
Sorry I dont have a dog or cat, brought it for the power, has to be strong for animal hair, it reminds me I had a kambrook vaccum, my dyed blonde would be all wrapped round the mech in the brush, I loved it so I just put up with it, this one doesnt do that with my dyed loose hair, I bet you are dissapointed, I would feel meile dropped the ball there, as kylie said her old dyson take the back off, but with this, no u cant acess it at, I have just looked at my cleaning head, no, this is feeble but all I can suggest is trying to get a refund, as it definitely is not suitable, and considering how much u paid, wow, it is an expensive machine that involes a lot of hard work for the owner, if it wasnt a dog and car vaccum, and this happen sure, they would say well it is not made of animal fur.
U have brought it in good faith dog and cat vaccum, no I be really angry. I think u have a case and u obviously havent had the vaccum very long it is just not suitable for animal fur
Thanks Rosie. Fortunately it's not my vacuum but belongs to one of my client's who I clean for. His sister bought the vacuum but was so disappointed because of the roller brush getting clogged quickly and being difficult to remove the fur, that she gave the vacuum to my client. It's a fabulous vacuum cleaner except for the clogged roller brush. I think Miele make the best vacuum cleaners as a rule.
