Under engineered handle
Have had the fridge for just under 3 years. Works OK as a fridge
Disappointed that the handles are flimsy, and it has just broken - through normal use - a design flaw.
Seem to be now $300 out of pocket for a replacement one.
Not good for an expensive fridge - from a company that touts that their products are designed for a long service life.
Purchased in March 2021 for $3,509.00.

Terrible Product
We have bought this fridge along with the freezer which stand side by side and is fully integrated. Fridge has water constantly dripping at the back wall. Miele after sales care is also terrible. We were also told the same thing when the service technicians came to check out the issue, " It is how our fridges work to keep products fresh". I don't know about the freshness, food goes mouldy really quickly! I will never go for them again.

Buyers beware
This is a terrible fridge..constant dripping from the back due to condensation and temperature not cold enough....
After getting checked by a Miele approved technician (who was highly unprofessional), the outcome was Butane gas and coils; the cost to repair: 1200 AU$.
I will recommend to stay away from this brand...frankly very poor manufacturing quality, does not justify the cost..not even close..

Constant condensation
The fridge looks good, apart from the constant condensation drips down the back wall. No-one at Miele tells you this before you buy and when you complain they simply say it's how our fridges work and it will always be there. They asked if I'd put food against the back wall - I told them it hasn't even been used, but they're quick to blame the customer - no good customer service from Miele.
You can return it if you're not happy - but they charge you over $850 to return it.
Let the buyer beware - it looks really ugly. I will be replacing it as soon as I can.

Great fridge
All that the previous reviewer has said is spot on. We also have the matching freezer as a pigeon pair. The drawers are amazing at how long they will keep food fresh as the temp & humidity control really work well. I have experimented with lettuce & such veg by keeping as long as several plus weeks without any problems. They are quiet & just get on with the job. Temperature control is accurate & steady. Also have the clean steel exteriors which are relatively easy to keep clean (2 adults only here). On delivery there was a very slight problem w...Read more
ith a minor dent (you really did have to look hard in the right light to see it) in the door front. No questions from Miele...new door (not skin) was ordered & fitted FOC. If you want the best, the investment is worth it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Summer Trooper
This 403 Litre fridge was installed mid October 2012 with it's companion Freezer (FN14827SD). It replaced a 12 year old 340L Westinghouse 'Freestyle' upright refrigerator that had temperature control problems, especially in summer. This fridge, has none of that; it just chugs along whatever the external temperature is, and our kitchen can get to 28 degC on the really hot Melbourne days. It has temperature control for the main compartment and a separate one for the meat and vegetable drawers. The 2 vegetable drawers have humidity control as well...Read more
and my lettuce and capsicum are now surviving well into the 5th day and would last longer if I left them longer (compared to the old fridge where they would start fading in 3rd to 4th days). The drawers are huge compared to what I used to have and they are on telescopic rails, which I thought to be overkill at purchase, but they do turn out to be handy for use and removal for cleaning. I must say the door storage is noticably less than on the old fridge, but we have adjusted and worked out a system on the shelves. We don't use the wine rack shelf that came with the fridge as we prefer the glass shelving and it won't fit in our shelf configuration anyway. If anything, the main fridge compartment (270L) could be one shelf height taller, (and we are a household of 2 adults only), but the cabinet stands at 1.8m high already, so a compromise would be required, probably losing one of the 3 drawers, and I prefer the 3rd drawer. We got the 'clean steel' finish on the outside and find it shows splatter a sticky finger marks more easily that the white surface of the old fridge. However, these marks don't leave shadows when cleaned off that normal stainless surfaces can. A word of caution on cleaning the door, make sure the microfibre cloth, sponge or chamy is really clean and free from foreign matter as you will get fine scratches on the door if not - I've managed to mark it very slightly. Other than this, I can't complain about the finish and construct internally or externally. Internal styling, Constant temperature control, independant temperature control for different zones, well built internal and external ExpensiveSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Im curious has anyone had cooling issues with fridge? Mine will hold at lower temp for 12 hours then will rise to around 27 degrees

Hi Jason....no cooling issues or any other issues actually to date. Probably best call Miele to have a look.
Definitely get Miele out for this one.
I just went away for 5 days and came back to a frozen freezer - when it's supposed to be No Frost. Miele are coming to sort that out.

How cold can the meat drawer be? Around zero degrees?
2 answers
Hi, I think it can be held at zero degrees as the manual says the Perfect fresh zone (top drawer or meat drawer) is automatically held at 0 to 3 degreesC, however you can adjust it to 'highest temperature' or 'lowest temperature' on the fridge controls. I haven't done this and find it's been keeping fish fillets well for up to 48 hours (I don't leave them any longer than this I don't know what has happened to them before they get to me!). If you are serious about purchasing a Miele fridge, I'd recommend you download the full manual from the Miele Australia website as I did before purchasing the fridge - I found it really useful to read the operating and installation instructions to make sure I was fully aware that the fridge would function how I wanted it to and could be installed in my kitchen (it is rather tall). It would have also highlighted any restrictions/disclaimers that would have been a red flag, however there weren't any. I hope this helps, good luck.
