I purchased the washer & Dryer in 2016 as well as all Miele kitchen appliances in 2017.
Firstly, had issues with the Twindos Phase 1 bottles collapsing, early on when I purchased the machine. Customer service said it is not a fault. Year later I found out it was an issue and they changed the style of the bottle as many customers complained from the same issue, yet no one call me earlier to let me know and I had to go through the trouble of transfering the Phase 1 liquid in the empty Phase 1 bottle that came with the machine. Great product
Both the W1 washer and T1 dryer can be connected to my home network, allowing me to check detergent levels and machine performance data directly from my smartphone.The W1 machine can automatically adjust the water level and filling duration according to the load. This is not only good for the environment, but also saves water and electricity.

Lives up to the name. Very Impressed!!!
I am fussy when it comes to appliances and will research until I am satisfied.
The WMV960 doesn’t seem to have many reviews and some are quite off putting with noise issues that it produced.
I decided to just dive in and get it anyway.
1. Noise Level

a loud as my previous flag ship Samsung. When it entered spin I loved how it just started and didn’t muck around. You can hear the spin increasing and this is where there is noise however given the speed and load, I wouldn’t describe this as noisy. My old F&P tumbler dryer was far noisier. With my laundry door open and sitting in the. Next room I could just hear the spin of i was sitting there waiting for it. Otherwise it was pretty quiet.1 comment

Beware of this model
Washing and rinsing of clothes is satisfactory. However, we have experienced ongoing problems and after a year and multiple call outs, our Miele washer is not operating correctly. Many items of clothing have been damaged - including two cashmere jumpers (made in Italy) that have shrunk to child size. There seems to be a problem with water temperature and also the hygiene information continues to be displayed despite doing many machine cleanses. Last week we had the technicians re-instal software and were assured the hygiene information would not be a problem again - two days later the message is permanently on the screen. HIGH PRICE TO PAY
Washes well, but keeps coming up with a "clean machine error", only had this for a month, apparently its a fault that needs updating.
Also it doesn't indicate when this twin dos is empty.
VERY Expensive and not really any better than any other front loader.
Miele service is pretty bad.

My "go-to" brand
"Super machine. Front loader. I like the smooth front - so easy to clean! Also like the self-cleaning detergent dispenser drawer, a new feature since my last Miele and great in hard water areas. This machine is so quiet I initially had to keep checking it was actually working. Love the 22 minute quick wash programme. This is my go-to brand.

Best rinsing
Unlike the previous reviewer, I don't find any problem with rinsing performance with the Miele. I have always used Miele washing machines and used Water plus with extra rinse option with most programmes. With the new W1 series, Miele has given the customer even more flexibility. The 'settings' menu allows you to adjust the water plus level and if you like as well as being able to set the machine permanently to do deep rinses. The 'programme manager' function allows you to select an allergy option which automatically modifies the programme and adds more water to the wash and rinse cycles to thoroughly remove detergent residues.

I am considering going back to a Miele machine as want to stack my Miele dryer. I presently have a fisher and paykel machine I purchased about a year ago when my 8 year old Miele broke down - cost of repair was quoted at $990 which was the price of new F&P and I happy with it but miss the Miele wash quality. My concern is that my old machine was a "known fault" and people are now saying this machine has a "known fault" Im reluctant to spend $5k on a machine from Miele again with a known fault Any thoughts/advice gratefully received.
