WDA110 AU, WDA210 WPMWashing Machines Buying Guide
Our buying guide will explain which type of washing machine would suit you most, how much you can expect to pay for one, and which features are worth looking out for.
Stuck with problems
Have had the machine for about 6 years. It washes clothes well and the options are very good. But, It's impossibly heavy, so that the only way to move it into position is to crab walk it pivoting from leg to leg. This action tears the rubber of all the feet so that the machine sits on bare metal and bits of rubber. The vibration on spin is so intense that the whole house shakes and the machine walks all over the laundry. The restraining lugs for moving the machine are impossible to re-insert once they have been removed so the machine is general...Read more
ly re-located without the lugs. I have had the machine serviced, parts replaced by a qualified Miele mechanic and it's made no difference, except I am $600 poorer. I think that this is the most impractical machine ever made and I would never buy another Miele product.Purchased in February 2021 at Better Braces.

So disappointing
My clothes come out looking older than when they went in...worst decision I ever made. The settings are elderly and the dryer leaves your clothes semi wet. Also, the amount of maintenance both washer and dryer require is ridiculous. Over priced and hardly satisfying. The doors on the both the washer and dryer open in opposite directions??

Great Machine, Built to last
Have had this machine 5yrs and have had no problems. We live on a farm and it washes my husbands dirty clothes getting them clean every time. I also like that for a short time after the machine has started you can still add clothes you may have forgotten. Great quality as expected from the Germans, We also have a Miele oven a German vacuum cleaner and a VW car all German made. You can't beat their quality, reliability or performance.

High Quality Machine, Great Wash Performance!
As expected from a Miele machine its about the highest quality of a machine you can possibly buy, it has arguably the best appliance build quality in the world using things such as an enamelled front panel, stainless steel door hinges and an unbreakable cast iron counterweight as well as many other things! The wash performance itself is also very good, for some context I use the standard OMO powder and fabric softener so results may very depending on which detergent you use. This machine coms with a few options that can be selected and deselect...Read more
ed depending on the cycle, these include Pre Wash for more heavily soiled items, Soak, also for heavily soiled items and Short which reduces the time an individual cycle runs, however on express short can be deselected to make the programme last 30 minutes instead of the traditional 20. I have now had my machine a little over 2 years now and it works the exact same as the day I bought it. The machine has a reasonable selection of programmes which very from minimum irons and cottons to delicates, express and automatic programmes and more specific ones like shirts, denim and woollens. In terms of noise it is not overly noisy but once the spin/drain cycle commences it can get noisier depending on spin cycle speed selected so I suggest not running it at night if your laundry is close to bedrooms. My only complaint with this machine is the fact that many of the programmes have very long cycle times with some cottons cycles taking as long as 3 hours which is a bit excessive in my opinion, unless I have diabolically soiled clothing [which I never do] I stick away from that cycle and go for more shorter but still great performing cycles like Automatic Plus, Delicates, Shirts and Express. Obviously with any Miele machine it is not cheap to buy and even more so when you go for more higher end models but regardless of which one you pick the build quality is generally the same, its really only features that are expanded upon in price range. You can easily count on Miele washing machines to last the advertised 20 years or more, obviously there will be some machines that don't but the machines build quality ensures this is attempted, I can highly recommend this machine and ALL Miele washing machines to anyone!Similar opinion? Don’t spend the money
Purchased a Miele washing machine expecting the best after reading all the reviews, after 2 1/2 years knob broke off, not forced, nit damaged plastic part just fell apart. Rand service department who dont want to know about it! Don’t spend the extra money find a company that supports their products. Washes no better than any other front loader

Excellent
I had a hover of which I could not part with. Finally it went to god. Then. My Miele. Can’t believe what was missing out on
I have to check as it is so quiet I think it has finished. The short cycle of 20 minutes is fantastic and soooo clean cloths.

Disappointed
Machine has worked ok up until now although not quite the standard I expected. It wouldn't spin dry a woollen jumper by itself and left it literally sopping wet. We've had this washing machine since July 2017, ie just on a year, and it looks like the electronics need to be replaced. First of all it behaved as if it was on a delayed timer and then it just stopped responding at all. To add insult to injury, because it's under a five year warranty (over cautious me I was told) we have to get a Miele qualified electrician to fix it and we're having to wait almost two weeks before they can get here. Not sure how much that's saying about Miele products hmmmm!!

Good product. Doesn't live upto the billing
This is a Good machine with a good short cycle for regular use. Can vary between 20 - 30 mins
We find it a bit harsh on clothes though. wears out clothes a lot quicker
Not entirely happy with the buy for the money spent. My old fisher paykel did a better job washing

Quiet Front Load Washing Machine
This machine is so quiet and efficient. There are many cycles to choose from and rinse rpm speeds. I am impressed by the way our clothes are fresh and clean every time. Our previous machine would shake so violently we thought there was a truck in the laundry. The MIELE is silent.

MIELE good on their warranty with issue with this machine
Yes I had issues with clean washing for about 5 months (brown spots on white sheets and clothing). The service agent and Miele told me it was a build up of grim and after 4 90 degree washes with Mile descailing agent and vinegar the brown sports still appeared on my washing - it seemed to me the drum had rust marks on it - not a build up of grim - difficult to see the drum with limited space and torch - I still don't think in 12 months there should have been a build up of grim in any event. However Miele - to their credit - have now replaced ...Read more
the machine with a new one - so I am hoping it was just a rare fault and with any luck I will now have 16 years wonderful use of this machine like the last. I had a Miele washing machine for 16 yrs and never required a service nor had any issue untill the drum started to vibrate. 16yrs was good for me so purchased the WDA110 a little smaller than my previous one. Harvey Norman offered for the much cheaper machines an extended warranty plus replacement machine for a rather small fee - this was not available for the Miele - so only 2 yr warranty - I thought Miele was great, what could go wrong? Surely Miele would look after me for spending $1,400 to buy one of their so called superior machines. November 2017 when machine was 11months old I started to get black spots over my white king size sheets. They were stains that needed to be soaked in nappy San to be removed - then I put them in the rinse spin cycle and the spots were gone. This continued to happen - I cleaned the machine, the rubber - anywhere I could access but still the stains continued. Called Miele service guy out and he said the 90 degree cotton wash cycle would clean the drum and fix the problem - it did not. Called service person again for same issue - he came out and told me to call Miele as there was nothing he could do. I received bill from service agent as Miele wouldn't pay the service call as the issue was not a mechanical problem. I will not pay for service call as in my opinion there must be something wrong with the machine when my washing comes out dirtier than when I put it in. Machine now 18 months old and another washing machine mechanic told me the underside of the drum is probably caked with built up dirt that will eventually destroy the drum attachments - this he said was probably due to the inferior stainless steel Miele now use in their machines. GREAT!!! $1,400 down the sink - dirty washing!!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Don’t buy Miele
Miele’s boast that its mechanical components can take the equivalent of 20 years use is a claim I can’t give an opinion on because my machine died after 3 years, 12 months out of warranty. The problem the independent service man identified was the power board completely failed, so an electrical component which from reading other reviews isn’t the first time for the Miele product. Part replacement cost and call out is close to half the purchase price of a new machine. My previous washer was a Maytag and it actually lasted 20 plus years. Miele cu...Read more
stomer service is just as as pathetic as the service I’ve had from this washer. After an initial response asking for sales receipt there’s been no follow up by Miele.. My recommendation is buy a machine that lives up to the manufacture’s claim. That’s not Miele.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Versatile, adapts to all your washing needs
This machine almost kills you with kindness as it has so many options for cherishing almost anything your wardrobe can offer. The only drawback is that the 'control panel' is so complicated, and quite different from those on other brands, that it takes a while to get the hang of it. In fact certain people in my house have not yet got the message that you don't need to throw your greasy jeans in with your favourite cardy. Still, once you know how to use it, it even washes lambswool and silk with such a tender touch that they come out of the machine looking perfect.
I bought this little beauty at the Miele warehouse where they sell discontinued and un-boxed items. Considering
how good it is, it was a bargain at less than $1,000.00

Perfect, water efficient & does the job perfectly
Does the job perfectly. Cleans really well, very quiet machine. Doesn't take up a huge amount of space. I love the quick wash setting. FYI it cleans as well as the longer settings even on kids clothes. I love this machine, not too expensive, not too big and does exactly as advertised.

Efficient and quiet
My old washing machine broke after 7 years and decided to spend on a good washing machine so that my clothes won't be washed in a harsh way. Tried the Miele and its great. Its quiet and fast. The energy rating was good too. Great machine and although it cost a little more, its worth it.

Great Machine
Cleans very well with a wide choice of wash programs plus programmable functions. Spins small and hard to balance loads without vibration.
I like the programmable features which allow adjustment to pre-set programs such as water level, extra rinse, more gentle action etc. Detergent is directed into the wash drum as the water fills. Many good features.
This is a quiet machine with the loudest sound being the water sloshing about.
Good star ratings for water and power.
All in all I find this good value for money providing excellent results.

Very unhappy with customer service
Bought one last year and paid for installation by “Miele”.
Surprisingly, they forgot to remove the “transit bars” at installation. As a result, the machine with a dryer on top of it started to dance around the laundry making loud noises and we were lucky to notice before it hit the wall. They sent someone to check and he said it was all right, but it is much noisier than the one in their showroom. Asked for replacement or another check but never happened. Not happy at all.
The quality of wash is OK. Not different from our previous AEG.

The Best.
Love my miele washing machine, I purchased my Miele washing machine in January, it runs like a dream and the dirtiest of gardening clothes come out clean without any pre cleaning products. Great water saver and economical electrical usage.A cycle for every wash. My sister has had a Miele washing machine for 22 years! Still going strong, I am hoping for the same longevity.

Saves So Much Time And Money.
I love the many different programs on my Miele. The hand wash cycle and delicates is so effective and accurate I actually have stopped hand washing all my really good lingerie and clothes myself. The machine is extremely water efficient and it’s so quiet during operation I often forget it’s on. All the wash cycles are very effective- clothes and linen come out very clean, untangled and increased. Absolutely brilliant product. This is my third Miele.

I needto replace the seal in my Washing machine Wda110, does anyone know where I can get one?

Hi Alaine, you will need to contact the Miele Customer Care Centre on 1300 464 353 (note this is the Australian phone number), who can assist in organising a replacement seal. Kind regards, Anna.

How do you change the temperature for set cycles? E.g the 'Shirts' cycle is always at 40 degrees when selected via the dial, how do I increase and decrease this?
2 answers
My model is a W2104. On mine you just turn the dial to 50 or 60 and upwards, the same applies to turning the temp down. You must have a different operation to me. Sorry I can't help you, maybe in the instruction manual but I guess you have looked there. Try giving Miele a call.
JoelMiele
Hi Matthew, thank you for your question. The unit has set temperature ranges for each cycle, cotton has the entire temperature scale available to it but other cycles have limited temperature settings. The instructions for changing the temperature are located in the operating instructions manual. If you need to find your manual online you can do so here https://www.miele.com.au/professional/inactivem-user-manuals-177.htm . Kind regards, Anna.
