Basic but great
This one is for some who wants just the basics, nothing to fancy or complicated.
Tracks movement and sleep, and can set so you receive notifications as well as an alarm.
Purchased in November 2021 for A$7.00.

A real misfit
I bought a misfit tracker from Myer and it has never tracked properly. Im trying it a second time after having it in the drawer for months. I was keen to give it another go as I hate wasting things. I also wanted to measure my daily steps to encourage me to greater health practices. Yesterday I ran 5km and the tracker says Ive barely moved!
Seriously! And is the small horizontal bar meant to have a light on all the time. Mine goes through a rainbow of colours and then goes out.
The website has very little by means of technical info nor contact details. I wrote with my problem and there has been a sales promotion style reply to buy another one!!!
Purchased in January 2021 at Myer for A$100.00.

Unreliable & Unreliable With Major Syncing Issues
This was a replacement of my Fitbit flex 2 which I lost. Unfortunately, the misfit ray regularly looses entire tranches of activity. Long runs, walks and has never really synced properly. Endless problems syncing and I would often end up with zero activity days and no sleep! I bought it and batteries new and have had to replace them already (within 8 weeks), I would not recommend this product to anyone, shame on the company for selling this obviously bad product.
Purchased in July 2021.

Don’t bother
I bought it coz it was visually appealing and does what I need it to at a good price. After only 6 months it started having sync issues and for the past 4 days my points have even been going backwards after doing exercise! I have reinserted the batteries and even tried fresh ones. Still having issues. Still have an open feedback ticket with the company but so far they haven’t been all that helpful. Would be great value for money if it actually worked properly
Purchased in February 2021 at Catch Deal for A$28.00.

Unreliable due to sync issues
I purchased the misfit ray to monitor and track my sleeping pattern without having to pay too much for these types of device. It is appealing and makes a great accessory. The app is also pretty easy to use and great interface. However, like the other reviews, I am also having sync issues where you have to try a few times to access or refresh data. It seems temperamental and there are times when it will not sync for days. It is quite troublesome, as it makes the device unreliable and useless without any of that data. I have given up on it after having it only for just over 3 months. It would've been an excellent value for money if it didn't have the major sync issues.

Terrible product, no support
The Ray is basically a bracelet. It has major sync issues which means you often have to sync 4-5 times before the data feeds through. This is a major issue given the device itself does not show you your steps. It’s an even bigger issue when the battery life is largely determined by the number of times you use the sync function.
So onto the battery life. Wow, very misleading. They say it can last for up to 12 months. My batteries have never lasted more than 3...and that’s with the text message warning turned off. Turn that on and you’ll be l...Read more
ucky to get two months. The batteries are only available at Battery World in Australia and they cost $15 per set. So in less than two years you have paid more in batteries than you have for the device itself. They will tell you batteries are only $10 per 3 pack which is true, but that in the US. You need to pay $40 in shipping to get them sent over. To top it off, a slight scratch when changing the band (which is very easy to do as it’s very clunky) will mean the device completely rusts where the band connects to the main unit. Finally, their support team could not care less. Their response times are atrocious and you need to argue and argue to get anywhere. Then they lose your complaint and you have to start again. I will never buy another product from Misfit ever again. Hopefully this helps someone else from the same Mistake I made.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Misfit Ray excellent especially deep sleep measured giving feedback on medical progress
The Misfit Ray has proven to be a vital help in managing a chronic and painful eye condition. As the long term medications for the eye condition increase the risk of heart damage, my Apple Watch 3 uses Smart Heart monitoring with the Kardia app, plus ECGs on my Iphone with the Kardia iPhone attachment. I also give them 5 stars.
But while the Apple Watch is in heart monitoring mode, all other monitors are unavailable. So no exercise measured while in heart monitor mode with the Kardia app running.
So the Misfit Ray fulfills these exercise...Read more
monitoring functions very effectively. Wearing it all the time even showering, with no battery charging, it is truly a set and forget monitor. Step accuracy is OK, and the reminders to move are not obtrusive. The daily goals can be set to personal preferences- I aim for the 10,000 steps a day. I find the light system on the Ray not to my tastes, and that checking via the iPhone Misfit app is quick and easy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Me too
Got my rose gold tone ray three weeks ago. Would sync to my iPad, but not my Samsung phone, unless I was away fro the house. Ok, that’s fine. Followed Custer support to turn on and off blue ray, didn’t help. Been using it for three weeks in the same pool. Today, it tarnished and stopped working.

Initially beautiful and functional but ultimately disappointing.
I purchased the Misfit Ray in Rose Gold with Stainless Bracelet. I wanted something that didn't look like a tracker, could handle the fact that I swim regularly and would remind me to get up and move regularly (I'm good at getting involved with my work and then 5 or 6 hours has gone by!).
I've got a SHINE and the system is basic but super functional if you don't want every tiny detail. The Ray seemed to promise what I desired and seemed to keep that promise on arrival (purchased through ASOS). It looked beautiful, it reminded me to get up a...Read more
nd move every hour. The alarm system is all or nothing, but that was fine by me: I turned it on for mornings it was needed and off when it wasn't needed. The app is simple and easy to use. I upgraded the app with a paid-for version so that I could use the swimming tracking features of the RAY, which my SHINE doesn't have. Again, that software seemed to be reliable. Unfortunately, the hardware wasn't as reliable. The RAY and it's bracelet started to tarnish and rust, and corrosive pits started forming on it within three days of my receiving and starting to use it. Progressively, over the next 2 weeks, the device started to fail: movement reminders became random; a low battery alert started to appear in the app (brand new batteries); the alarms stopped working; the phone call alerts stopped working; the swim tracking became unreliable; the physical damage continued to worsen; and eventually, it failed to work any longer. ASOS was very slow in responding to my requests for assistance, (btw 16 Dec and 10 Jan) but did eventually offer a sort-of replacement (i.e. not the model I had originally ordered. Unfortunately I ordered this model because the band was more like a bangle rather than a band, so it let my skin breath which is needed in my case and why I upgraded from the SHINE) and have now offered to provide a refund. I wrote to Misfit to ask if I could get help from the company directly. I was offered a replacement - anything other than the model I'd purchased because apparently that model isn't available for Australian replacement stock. The offer was nonetheless kind. Just didn't solve the problem. I've since gone on to the Amazon site and have to report that 54% of the reviews are three (out of 5) or lower with the main problems for others being the same as mine (though the tarnishing and rusting wasn't mentioned in any of them). I guess it's a bit hit and miss - 1 in every 2 of these seem to fail for Amazon customers. When they work they are A-MAY-ZING and when they don't - well they don't, unfortunately. For my part, I'm sad to be leaving this simple platform that doesn't bombard me with options and let's me get on with doing what I need to do without interrupting me constantly. It's a great concept (It does look beautiful and is totally unrecognisable as a smart device) but unfortunately the quality control isn't up to standard for this particular style. If you're a US customer, they're probably a safe bet - returns would be easy and responses pretty quick, but the risk is too high for AUS customers.Similar opinion? Just get a Fitbit
Edit:
Died after 3 months, and customer service staff told me to "go to Walmart" to get it fixed. Don't both with Misfit, just get a different device
Original review:
The Misfit Ray is a gorgeous fitness band that looks fantastic next to watches and other bracelets - you can even get a necklace attachment for it. It's stylish and slimline - by far the best looking fitness tracker on the market. The activity and sleep tracking both work extremely well and are quite accurate, too. If that's all you want out of a device, awesome, get the Ray....Read more

Jewellery that works
I purchased a MisFit Ray in December and love it. I wear it around my neck and a few people have commented on my necklace, not realising it was a fitness tracker. Whilst the MisFit Ray does not track heart rate, it does effectively record steps, sleep patterns and can be set for much more but it does what I wanted without looking like the silicon watch band trackers. It can work in several positions on the body and a separate chain and bands can be purchased to individualise the tracker to the wearers needs. it can be used to signal incoming me...Read more
