Probably is running out of fuel.
When did you last change the fuel filter?
Fuel filter replaced probably 12 months ago.
Still sounds like fuel. When pumps go they can exhibit erratic behaviour. Had one that behaved a bit like that. You might want to get your fuel delivery pressure tested.
If it is the pump (located in tank) replace with a genuine Bosch unit. Does require some skills with soldering iron to make it fit. Same cost as original (maybe $350) but much bigger and don't burn out. You can get aftermarket units much cheaper but how long they last is anyone's guess.

Hey, was driving the other day with my mitsubishi express 2.4 efi, in about 90-100k an hour. When I was gonna accelerate the car started jerking. Turned the car of and on and the problem was gone, drove for a while and its back again. Soo, every time I turn the car of and on it goes normal for a while. Whats happening is when I accelerate it feels like the enige isent getting air or fuel, and just starts jerking. I disconnected the air mass meter and it is behaving in exacly the same way as when it is connected.

Fuel filter.
Change it ASAP. If you don't the increased back pressure will take out your pump.
In the meantime, keep your fuel over 1/4. Keeps the pump from overheating.
Mebay filters (honda filter) are about 3 for $43.
$90 ea at supercheap/autopro.
Depending on whether your model was fully imported or not, the parts lookup guide can be totally useless.
If you can, undo the security bolt that holds the clamping bracket on the fuel filter behind passengers side front wheel and pull the filter down without disconnecting anything. Its sort of a rolling action so that your hoses don't crimp. Get the number off the side of it.
Thanks, I will try.

Anyone had an experience with a Bosch starter motor?
Tried an aftermarket unknown brand for $78 incl delivy on mebay but it's been lazy from the word go. Cleaned battery terminals and that seemed to make a difference....for a week. Now it won't crank and it's all of 3 months old.
The genuine one did 100 starts a day and wore out the brushes almost to the day on it's 20th anniversary. I knew I should've kept it and fitted new brushes but she who knows everything about cars said I hang onto stuff that should go to the tip....and I listened!
Auto 8 have new Bosch units for $180 incl delivy on mebay. That seemed pretty good considering Supa Cheep wanted $350 for the same thing (pick up in store) which is what my mechanic usually charges for these things.
Bosch units are rated at about 1.2kw. I think that's where my $78 aftermarket job is falling over. It.just doesn't have enough torque for a 2.4L.

Hi where is the petrol cap located? I just bought this van & want to fill the tank...cant find where to put the petrol in. Thanks Kevin

Take your position in the driver's seat. Just put your left hand down and slightly back and you will feel the petrol release lever. Pop it up. The filler cap is on the left-hand side in between the passengers side door and the sliding door.

Had the check engine light come on my 2006 van. Only problem is Im not sure what to check!

Either invest in a OBD11 reader so you can look up the error,, or take to Mitsubishi, and they will put it on there computer,
Zero $0.00 analysis.
Run the tank dry (450 klms or 530 klms on a full tank if you have a 5 litre reserve oil bottle filled with 98) and then fill tank on 98.
The O2 sensors don't like e10.
If light stays on then get the wifi obd reader that connects to your phone. Port is directly above accelerator pedal.
OBD2 wifi readers for android are about $15 on mebay.
Dealers can ask ~$180 for the privilege to plug in.

1991 express van what are the dashboard light?

Dashboard
I know they are on the dashboard I want to know when they light up there is one I don't know what it's for it's a circle with a question mark in it, I haven't got a hand book,I see the battery, water and petrol but the other????
You need to be bit more specific when you come here seeking knowledge.
My vans are pre-2006 which is about when they did significant upgrades to the electronics on the ignition and onboard diagnostics.
I don't have any personal experience with those engine management warning systems. However, the driver next to me did.
He ran his van on gas and from time to time and it would show that light. Something to do with the the O2 sensor. Nothing that running the car on 98 for a while could not fix.
For a more detailed explanation, refer to more recent posts regarding 'engine light'.
