how do I reset the ecu on my 2003 magna?
1 answer
Disconnect the negative battery cable and press the brake pedal a few times until you can't press it anymore. That should reset it but I also like to wait a half hour or so. Reconnect the negative cable and it should be reset.

Can a transmission from a 2004 replace one in a 2002? If not would the motor and transmission from the 2004 go into the 2002?
1 answer
Yes, if it is the same motor and gearbox, for example a 3.5 4speed auto going into a car which had the same, it is a straight swap.

Hi have just my self a 2003 mitsubishi magna and the tiptronic transmission auto has no gears including reverse and it revs higher when selecting reverse gear. Can u please tell me what the problem might be? thank u

Hi Brett.
I'm sorry I can't help you with that. You need to get a mechanic to take a look at it.
I hope you find a good mechanic to fix your problem and not an unscrupulous one like it has been my misfortune to service my vrx.
If anyone knows a knowledgeable and honest Mitsubishi mechanic in the Campbelltown NSW area I would appreciate his details.
Most likely a computer problem. The engine and the transmission aren't communicating correctly.
