Sure, theres better at certain tow weight etc, but this is the best overall ute hands down
So..if you want comfort, best turning circle( great for car parks), great integration with android/apple using gps live updates and spotify etc plus so, so much more than this is it, a true reliable work horse thats morphed into a vehicle my wife enjoys driving..can you ask for anything more? The MY2017 exceed is quiet in the cabin compared to other vehicles tested and the handling is car like, we love it - comfortable quiet easy to handle stylish and costs less. Dont be fooled! this is a great ute!

All good but suspenion..its a bumpy ride unladen
Great truck but the ride is harsh...it really is designed for a constant load. The ride is good with weight. I need the tray for large bulky items but nit heavy gear. I will swap out the suspension for a comfort leaf pack and hopefully it will smooth out. Great value compared to other utes.

Excellent Car & Value for Money
My partner and I took every new ute for a test run and we had to come back to the Triton. The value for money was exceptional compared to the other utes. The performance & handling is excellent, has typical diesel engine noise but not very loud. the dashboard, interior and legroom is all great. The only wish is if the car came with sensors altough we do have a reverse camera. Has been excellent to tow a large horsefloat, we don't even realise it is on the back. Has had 2 services to date. Hghly recommend, one of the best cars we have owned.

Ok car but accessories on exceed model useless
So i have a 2017 exceed (top of range) the stereo system, GPS system etc is useless, you cant update the maps and you have to click buttons every time you hop in the car to make it go. the reversing camera is off center so is just plain useless. The rest of the car is a ute. i brought it for one reason to tow a caravan which it does ok. The rest of it is hopeless. don't buy unless you really have too, like I did.

For a top of range model the exceed the paint job on my triton is very poor runs, rubbish in the paint some of the alignment of the bumper bar is poor one side has a gap the other side rubs on the head light, the steering wheel the leather is starting to peel, the exterior black trims on the windows are poor overall sought of regret buying it for a top of a range model the exceed the finishes are really poor.

I can not express enough my disappointed in this vehicle, this is my second triton and I regret trading my 2008 model in. It feels like they have cut so many corners on this model, with only 7000km this vehicle has been back four times with ongoing problems including lose bake paddle, lose seats, extrem turbo lag, faulty lights, hard top doesn't close properly and all round lacking preformance. It's just disappointing to drive.

Triton MQ Exceed 4x4 Dual Cab Ute
I had my new Triton Ute for a month or so now and I'm loving it so far.
I brought the MQ Exceed 4x4 Dual Cab model and I had a bull bar, canopy, snorkel etc fitted.
I travel from Wollongong to Sydney for work and I'm finding the Triton to be comfortable & economical to drive to work. I do a far bit of work around the house renovating etc and I've set the Triton up for caravanning/camping etc.
Positives:
1) Good value for money for a top of the range ute with plenty of extras. Love the stereo, sat nav, hill start assist etc.
2) Comfor...

Purchased a 2wd cab chassi back in March and am very impressed with latest engine/gear box and it's incredible economy and get up! This is the second 2wd Triton I have owned and considering the appointments it has for a base model, the economy and performance it gives plus safety rating and warranty, its hard to go past one in my opinion!
February 5th 2017 Update: Brilliant Value For Money
The 2016 Triton Exceed in my experience represents a brilliant value for the money 4 WD ute. Its not 100% perfect and other utes may have some features...
Read more and benefits that it doesn't provide, but when you take the purchase price into consideration and what it does provide by way of features and driving experience it deserves a 5 star rating! I have another 2 door Mitsubishi ute purchased early 16 plus this one purchased late 16 and have owned 3 others in the past all of which I have been very happy with.- BadgeGL

I sold my Manual BT50 GT and purchased the Triton Exceed to replace it. The Triton rides and handles well, the driving position is good. The 2.4 diesel engine has plenty of power and although it is quite intrusive when pushed I find it OK. It tows great and handles 900kg of flooring in the tray without making you feel unsafe. Fully loaded with gadgets that would leave you in a rest home for the terminally short of cash if it was a BMW X5 (which it isn't). The fact that it's not as big as the BT50 and other competitors is a positive bonus to me,...
Read more easier to manoeuvre, park and economical. Downside - the lack of padding on the centre console and door elbow rests and the nasty hard plastics used in most of the interior that scratch so easily. Great value for money, good service interval, very happy with the purchase- BadgeExceed

Had my new Triton Exceed for 5,000km now and it is great.
The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was that I think it is lacking with only 5 speed in the auto. I think this would have helped it with economy on the highway.
Comfortable and very capable off-road with different tyres. Very good value proposition compared to the top of the range models by the competitors.

Exceed - great value for money comfortable ute
Chose the Exceed over the GLS based on the comfort of the front seat. Couldn't quite get comfortable in the GLS. Have driven almost 20,000km in less than6 months and very happy with the vehicle. I drive in 4H most of the time which makes the Triton AWD, something only the only the Amarok and Triton have and a big safety feature. Vehicle tows well (3 dirt bikes and gear) and the auto gearbox out of the Pajero is great despite the critics having a crack for it not being a six speed. Nothing extra or any issues at 15k service. Has been a fant...
Read moreastic reliable and functional vehicle that I am comfortable driving at the speed limit even in serious downpours. Niggles include dated satnav (at least it has it), plastic trim on fdrivers seat that sometimes comes apart, passenger seatbelt rattle against B pillar trim if seat not all the way back, armrest in rear seat sticks out and I am playing with the rear tire pressure (between 32 & 44 psi depending on load) to smooth out the ride on choppy roads. Overall I'd definitely buy it again based on the best warranty and price It also does a good job of being a practical 4wd dual cab ute. Notice some of the reviews under MQ are obviously for the older model. Do yourself a favour by driving the New Triton before handing over an extra $10-$20k for one of the competitors. It'll give you a good reference/ negotiation point even if you don't buy it. Note: with hindsight I would buy an aftermarket towbar that doesn't completly stuff your departure angle like the factory unit. Update: just completed 30k service all good - needed front brake pads Update: 45k service completed. Replaced plastic fitting on drivers seat and cleaned blockage in aircon drain pipe. Update: 90k only major issue was a dpf replacement at 75k (temp sensor) that left me on the side of the road for 2 hours until reset by NRMA. Still run continuously in 4wd ( as I did with Pajero) with no issues.- BadgeExceed

Having driven the new hilux, gls and exceed I chose exceed, after having Toyotas most of my life. The ride in the exceed is brilliant, especially on long trips. There is a little front passenger seat shudder, which my hilux had, but a friend with latest hilux sr5 has the same shudder!
On testing, the ride in the Gls just wasn't as good as the exceed, and seat material looked awfull. I just couldnt justify the extra $20k for a hilux, and for the extra few thousand I wasn't tempted at all on the gls.
Auto gearbox is great, and acceleration is amazing at lower speeds.
6,000km in and very very happy with the purchase.

After owning 2007 GLXR thought an upgrade would be ideal. Very disappointed. Mitsubishi still not supplying accessories after 5 months, interior squeaks, vibrates and rattles. Canopy has no seal (an added extra??) but not available. Headlights are terrible and already are having to put it in for rear seat belt lights coming on with nothing in the back. Wish we'd never bothered - want my old Triton back!

106,000km. Only recent issue was a split intercooler hose. About $400 replaced by dealer. Dealer replaced steering wheel (faded) prior to end of warranty.
