This money transfer using Bpay is terrible
I sent money to Philippines on-line on the 23April2020 to 4 recipients using Bpay, but after one week still the recipients were advised that they cannot withdraw, either due to wrong authorization number or not processed yet. Why will moneygram accept Bpay when it doesnt work in their system? I cancelled the transfer and up to now I am waiting for my money refunded. Moneygram also dont reply to emails or letters sent thru their help section- either it is just an imaginary contact or they just dont care about your problem. This is the worst money transfer service on-line.

total rip off
forced to use kiosks instead of online cause it costs more to send money through their kiosks. The kiosks don't work they are not updated regularly to reflect exchange rates.

Money gram
It is very frustrating when all Travel Money stores are closed but good I can send money for the same price with 7/11. However 1300 should be 1800 as costs 35 cents to ring and also it takes too long to ring. I spoke to a person who gave the name as GL for over 20 minutes on chat line and she said not to leave the store until I got satisfaction. One store gave very poor service and said I had to ring up and they could not ring up like GL said. I could of stayed there all day and waste of my time. I went to another store and a pleasant Asian man helped me and it was my fault not the machine as I did not press on the person and just pressed exit. I think you should be helped more and then it would be even a better service

Quick and easy
Very quick and easy way to immediately send money anywhere. Lots of 7 eleven stores in the cities but harder to find in rural areas. Able to send message as well

Worst ever
Spent a long time setting up an account, then organized a transfer, the voucher was emailed to me then went all the way to the agent to do the transfer a few hours later and then MoneyGram refused to accept the voucher and bar code, saying it doesn't recognize the email address, set up at the kiosk at the agent (it took forever as the kiosk touchscreen works so slowly), under the same email address and it says I cant do that because someone already had that email address (me). 24 hours later same issue. Re-entered my membership under a differ...Read more
ent email a typo in my name could not be altered after signing up, so unable to use the second email address either. Once you sign up you name can't be edited info i there is a typo, only phone number. Forget MoneyGram. they don't reply to emails or answer the phone. Western Union sucks too as they are too expensive, they rip you off on exchange rates but at least it works (sometimes) One day someone like Uber will get onto this and make billionsSimilar opinion? Horrible service. Don't recommend
Horrible service.
They tried to send a transfer from Ukraine to Russia. 2 times unsuccessfully. Besides the fact that it is necessary to defend the queue, a lot of information is also required to receive a transfer, including the amount of transfer. If you don’t know the exact amount, the system does not skip to the next step.
The receipt was sent both times on hand, at the bank (Sberbank) they issue it for issuance, and already in the issue window the operator says that the system has refused and the transfer was returned to the sender without...Read more

Blocked before I could even do my first transaction
I'm a completely legit person, sending money to an employee.
I submitted my passport and they approved it.
Yet, right after trying to send money they block the whole account without providing a reason.
Never will I use Moneygram ever again.

Fees Are Expensive
I personally wouldn't recommend MoneyGram to anyone whose sends money overseas.
First and foremost, the fees are so expensive and customers shouldn't be over charged for each transaction they send overseas.

Allow known scammers to MoneyGram to take money from unsuspecting victims
It has been in the news that both MoneyGram and Western Union allow scammers to use their service. Victims are not compensated by them and the screening of people receiving money through their services is not done at all. Then if you become a victim of being scammed the company will ban you for life to not be able to use their service ever again. Victims are penalised by the company and not the scammer.

Treat their customers with total arrogance, and customer service is a farce
Having dealt with Moneygram for a reasonable time, I was unceremoniously blocked from using my account with no warning or notification. When I contacted customer service, it felt as though I was talking to a "brick wall." They point blank refused to say why I was blocked, or why I was not treated as a customer. They keep referring to their "terms and conditions" and offered no apology for their actions. To sum up, you are at their mercy when you deal with them. Best not to, unless you want to be treated as a complete imbecile(personal opinion...Read more
). Their "Contact Us" section is a farce, as they never do. They will not let you talk to anyone in authority, as well as never responding to your complaints, apart from a generic response. When you do contact them, they are very rude to customers, and their arrogance has to be experienced to be believed(personal opinion). Their greatest "asset" is that they will hang up on you when you try to assert your rights.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

App was buggy, customer service horrendous
I was forced to use a Moneygram kiosk when I was told they no longer wanted to do business with me.
The app did not allow me to give the full name of my friend and when my friend went to pick up the money he was told they wouldn’t give it to him without me giving the full name. So fruastrating. Days worth of delays and in the end I had to use a kiosk.
Very unhappy customer. I was charged $42 to do the transfer! Crazy!

Don’t use Moneygram - Waste of time and resources
My experience was that the Asian owner operator of the MoneyGram kiosk (7 Eleven Shop) at 287 Elizabeth Street in Sydney was very rude, insulting me personally by calling me a monkey, refusing to give me his full name, whilst repeatedly demanding to see my passport and having been given my passport several times, still claimed not to know my last name. He insisted on cash refusing an EFTPOs card by one of the major Australian banks. He was ignorant of MoneyGram rules and regulations and didn’t know how to operate the MoneyGram machine. Two of t...Read more

Good exchange rate but very low transaction limit and cash only
A fairly good way to send cash to those without bank accounts, but cash only which is a pain in the neck.
The transfer limits are low, so you have to do several transfers to send a decent amount.
They do not tell you, but there is also a AU$10k a month limit.
Better exchange rate than the moneygram online method.
American run, so poor customer service using poorly paid Asian call centre staff.

Money gram so unhappy
Sent money though money gram and it was stopped for no reason and after questioning it, they don’t need to give a answer it’s there policy? But was told I could get a refund and send money again as my account was free again? Things where desperate so I sent another $200 plus fee and it was rejected again omg, and trying to get the money back for over a year now, as they want everything in email, save yourself the hassle use someone else, the way you are spoken to it’s not called for and money gram don’t blame 7/11

Terrible. Unreliable. Stressful. Scammers.
Don't use their service. Most likely your transaction will be cancelled (due to internal security check!), but they will keep your money for 10 business days.
It seams to me this is the way they are making money, telling people, that transaction is not secure, and they are very regulated company, therefore,
protecting clients from any scam (which is nonsense !). When you asking what regulator advising them to protect clients, they keep repeating that they are very regulated, but don't tell you a regulator name.
Moneygram biggest scammers.

Find Another Method To Transfer Money
This transaction was the 2nd I've initiated. Before the transaction code can be issued, Moneygram has to contact the store where transaction was initiated. The 7-11 store had a land line fault and could not be contacted therefore the transaction was blocked. I had to return to the 7-11 and use my phone to contact Moneygram. I couldn't contact the Moneygram representative I had been dealing with, and the rep I was talking to said the transaction was approved. It took 5 hours to resolve the issue. During this time, I spoke to several Moneygram representatives. Their phone manner was apaling. Basically, they were continually ordering me back to the 7-11 store. Use Western Union if you can.

Tell me how I can collect on MoneyGram Ref.227859 or Ref 21120559 sender [Name and Address Removed]
Receiver [Name and Address Removed]
One MoneyGram has been collected. One could not be collected because the receiver's name had been changed on the document. Can you verify the name of receiver on both documents. The receiver and I tried to collect the money in Bali but were told there was a problem with the document. I have been extensively communicated with the local agent and phoning 1800049087 but they don't understand there are two MoneyGrams.
