Do NOT buy ths toaster
This is a truly crap appliance - slow, uneven in cooking and now faltering in working at all. It is a pretty candy red - but that's not much consolation when you want toast in the morning and it arrives just before lunch!
Way overpriced for a non-performing benchtop ornament.
Look elsewhere. Anywhere. Really.

Good looks, no substance
Without doubt this is the worst toaster on the market. Expensive and good looking, but pathetic in every other way. It takes 4 times as long to toast than any other toaster and toasts unevenly too. An amazing waste of big money and criminal that this company flogs such a dog to the public.

be careful!
This is my second of these toasters and again it has started shorting out the fuse. It's only a year old, and is already the replacement of the first one that did the same thing :( Such a Shame as I love the look of them but its just not safe!

Very Disappointing Again
This is the second Morphy Richards Toaster and only use it on weekends for 4 slices of toast. After just over a year, one side started making a noise and then would not allow you to push the lever for toast down. For the amount paid this was a total waste of money. Had a kettle same brand and also leaked. Never again Morphy Richards.

Best buy
I love my Morphy Richards 4 slice toaster. It works great for and early morning before school pickup! I'm am a busy mum with 2 children and this toaster puts half of breakfeast off my hands! I love the different buttons, especially the temperature one. It is a great tasting toaster and is always cooked to perfection. Thank you Morphy Richards!!

Very dissapointing!!
Very disappointed in this Morphy Richards 4 slice toaster, after paying $80.00 for this toaster I expected a good toasting coverage of my bread! But unfortunately not...it only cooks one side so have to turn it around half way through toasting. Think I would have been better off purchasing a Tiffany brand for $10 and would probably have gotten the the same if not better toasting result.

OK at first but now terrible
The Morphy Richards Accents 4 slice Toaster worked well at first on setting 3. Quite quick on that setting.
Lately it has got to a stage where almost full power on setting 9 is needed and the result is still very still slow.
The worst toaster we have had, especially given the price paid.

Pick a different toaster, slow and inconsistent
I bought this toaster and have been using for 12 months at the most. Compared to other toasters including much cheaper option this is by far the most disappointing. I love the fact it is 4 slice and it had the features I was looking for. It also looks really nice. However, it is very slow and inconsistent with the cooking. At the moment I have to have it on 5 and press twice, this can sometimes be perfect or sometimes burn. It's s toaster I can't just put the bread/crumpet in and walk away. I have three kids and this product is definitely not what I thought it would be.

It's not THAT bad
I really don't think this toaster is that bad. I bought mine in a special edition yellow colour, so I absolutely love the look if it. It is a little slow - but usually my bread is frozen. I haven't experienced any uneven toasting or anything like that mentioned in the other reviews.

Best Alarm Clock Ever
I bought this piece of rubbish to cook toast. It's so bloody slow I have decided to use it as a space heater and alarm clock. Before I go to bed I put in my bread and start the cooking process. As the toaster SLOWLY cooks my toast. It has kept my room warm for the night and when the toast pops up in the morning I know it's time to get up.

Slow Slow Slow Slow
You buy a toaster to toast bread quickly, that's its only purpose, this thing is so slow that I thought I would die of old age before it did the job it was designed to do. It toasts that slow that it dries the bread to a crunchy piece of hard crumbly crust that you cant eat without finishing with crumbs down your shirt front. when I see it sitting on the bench top looking all sparkling cute I feel like smashing it to the floor and jumping on it. I hate it, hate it hate it.

Was very happy until the right side 2 slice section stopped working after only 13 months
This toaster has just started shorting out the house. Finally got around to paying for a good toaster expecting it to last. Sadly not the case. Disappointed indeed. Cheaper toasters last longer than this.

Electrical nightmare
I am on my second accents toaster after the first one kept shorting out, Target replaced no questions asked so great. Now my second one is doing the same on just one side. No point in having a four slice toaster if can only do two slices at a time it's going back tomorrow. Both less than six months old!!!! Would not recommend Morphy Richards and I notice Target isn't suppling them now either.

Only one side works
I loved the look of this toaster and matching kettle. 13 months later and the right side of the toaster has stopped working and the kettle is leaking water onto the base plate. Would never buy this brand again.

Electrically blew-up!
Electrically shorted, loud bang, flash of sparks, trip the breaker in the distribution board, change my pants. That is the order of events when I pushed one of the slice levers down FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME! I wished my Morphy had morphed into a sunbeam or Russell Hobbs! Bye bye Morphy Richards, Hope I never see you again! Had no problem obtaining a full refund though. Thank you Target.

Looks can be deceiving - worst toaster I've ever owned
We've just upgraded our kitchen with accents in brushed stainless steel. We thought we were on a winner when we found a Morphy Richards Accent brushed stainless steel 4 slice toaster on special for $100. I loved the look the toaster, but that's where the love affair finished. The styling is the only good thing about this toaster that takes forever to brown a slice of Vogels-style wholegrain bread. The only way I can brown toast is by setting the dial to 10, letting it finish, and then giving it a few minutes' extra top up. This toaster is hopeless if you're in a hurry. The wires inside don't heat up evenly either. Even my $16 Aldi toaster does a better job than this one. Very disappointing considering the kettle is so good.

Utter Rubbish
Makes excellent bread crumbs out of a freshly baked thin slice of bread.
Have just worked out the secret - the slice of bread has to be 30mm thick (2x Toast [thick] slices or 3x Sandwich [thin] slices) so as to fill the entire compartment and viola, toast each time - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside but rather thick.
Useless for anything thinner. Café style slices may fare better.

Broken after 14 months
Not happy. Bought this for quality and wasnt cheap. One of the elements burnt out and the right side no longer works.
I have gotten the old $20 breville toaster out and it still works after 15 yrs!!
I expected such an expensive toaster to last much longer.
I no longer have the receipt to chase up warranty.

It broke!

Why does it not toast evenly
Sorry but can anyone explain WHY these and other flash model toasters only cook on one side. I have taken one model back and the staff pluged it in and had same results. I now have this one and it does the same - only toasts one side - Please help?
Colour and style
Only cooks one side of toast at a time

More art than an appliance
Beautiful to look at, and completely useless as an appliance. This toaster is the slowest I've ever owned, the bread doesn't toast, it merely dries out. Looking at the elements, they only get slightly red on 1 side. Whatever happened to the days when toaster elements would burn bright orange in a matter of seconds?
Looks great on the bench
The hair dryer might make better toast

Questions & Answers
Bruce in Bendigoasked
Unfortunately my wife did not keep the receipt so I do not expect a refund. I think we purchased over 2 years ago also. Just letting you know that the elements (from new) barely glow even on full heat setting, we bought a cheap Sunbeam straight after which did the job 100%. Very disappointing for what we thought was a good brand.

I rang the number and was left in a queue. It is all a bit late now so I will not follow up, thanks anyway.

Prior to returning the toaster you may wish to carefully check the internal element wires to ensure that there are no crumbs/ broken toast pieces or other food debris caught in-between (sultanas etc).... Read more
This is the most common cause of this type of report and can be corrected by simply removing the offending food particles from the element (after disconnecting the appliance from the power) ie shaking / tapping over the sink or by physically picking the debris from inside the bread slot.
