I have to say the that I was given this kettle as a gift 18 months ago but due to it leaking all over the bench I am unable to use it as I worry about electrical and water as well as everything getting wet, it seems a shame to replace it as it is still in good order and looks great but I do not have a receipt?

Love the look of these kettles but very disappointed when after a year of use the paint started to peel off around the bottom of the water level indicator window area and letting a small amount of water to leaking out of this area which ends up making a puddle of water on to the mains electrical base plate!

I purchased this kettle a few years ago because I liked the style and appearance. It looks great in the kitchen and I like the glossy white.
It's reliable and does what it says on the tin. I don't know if it's the fastest kettle around but I've had no problems with it.

Great design and being 'white' is much easier to clean than our previous uncoated stainless steel kettle.
However the lid and lip appears to be tarnishing when only a few months old - not consistent with a high end brand and price.
Am quite surprised that it's ageing so quickly...

This is the second Morphy Richards kettle I have purchased. The first one stopped working after 6 months and this one has lasted less than 5 months. They look nice but I was talked into buying the second one by a salesperson who told me I was just unlucky, now I think for the price I paid I should never have listened. The whistle feature lasted 3 months and now it lights up but won't boil. I will never purchase another Morphy Richards product again.

I bought the kettle in a hurry based on the attractive design but when I got home, I noticed the tip of the heating rod and the strainer is made of plastic. I'm worried that the plastic being in contact with constant intense heat. That can't be a good thing for health.

This kettle replaced our old Russell Hobbs kettle. We were very attracted by the design and color range. It does look very good in our kitchen.
Performance is good ( size, speed, noise level ) except for one annoying feature. After about three months use the connection between the base and the kettle has become very unreliable. By jiggling it about you can get the connection and the light helps you to know that it is connected, however, I do believe that shouldn't be necessary.

Noticed that my kettle base had water on it. Thought it was prob jus a splash when putting on the base after filling. However when I picked i t up this morning and tilted it to see how much water is in it I realised that it is leaking either from the water gague or the base. Think it is probsbly the gague. Also, the numbers on the gague rubbed off very quickly. I am very dissapointed. Bought it with a matching toaster and thought I wouldnt need a new one for years.
