My Navman Duo 2.0 purchased in September 2022. The bluetooth keeps dropping out after about 30 seconds of talking. Have made sure that pairing was correct and keeps doing it. Can not have a phone call in or out as it drops out after about 30 seconds. What is the fix please.

Update the software of the device. Latest software can be downloaded from https://service.navman.com/M0100/DownLoad_Faq_131402_Australia%20NAVMAN_English%20Navman.html



Make sure that your mobile phone is within 10 meters (30 feet) from the Navman device.

Try it with a compatible phone if possible.

If the above steps won’t work, you may send an email to our support team at [email protected] and provide your full name, phone number, shipping address, device’s serial number, exact date of purchase, place of purchase for us to provide you with a solution.

I have had my Duo 2.0 for 2 months.
1. My car battery has gone flat even though the gps said its off
2. GPS dosn't keep its charge.
3. Always have to accept terms and conditions
4. Can't find the GPS signal for atleast 40 minutes into my trip.

I am so sorry for the troubles. The first thing I would suggest is to make sure that there is no physical connection problem with your device and computer. If the unit is not detected by the computer, please try using another USB cable, USB port, disable or lower down your firewall or computer.

If your device is being detected by your computer, please uninstall and reinstall the NavDesk2. You may refer to the link below:

Sorry to know that you are having a problem accessing the Driver Recorder of your device.

The first thing I would suggest is to charge the device via in-car power/AC adapter for 30 mins or 1 hr via USB cable to your computer. Then while on charge perform a hard reset to the device by poking the reset hole at the back.

If the problem persists, we may need to perform Smart Recovery on the NavDesk2. Please follow the steps from the link below.

Washed out screen colours,can barely see map details in normal daylight conditions.Have tried all map settings and screen brightness settings. This was supposed to be a replacement for previous navman where there was no problem seeing screen until unit died. Drive duo 2 is not fit for purposet if map and details cannot be easily seen from drivers position and should be recalled as it is unsafe to use. Will be returning to store and wil look at another brand as replacement

2. Tap on ‘Settings’.
3. Select ‘Map Display'.

5. Choose the desired colour scheme from the list.

Screen on Driveduo 2.0 is so faint it can’t be seen in daylight. Have tried brightness adjustment and changed viewing angle without success. Product is unusable if details on screen can’t be seen.

The Drive DUO 2.0 has trip/route simulation feature. From the main menu, simply go to 'Route Simulation' and you will be asked to enter your starting point and destination. This will give you the overview of your turns.

Thanks for your answer. I could not find that in the quick start guide (might be my male look)!
This is my third Navman. I must say the on line hand book is obviously written by a Navman expert, which is a major drawback. All operator manuals should be written by non savy, non technical persons, so the bulk of us understand how to operate equipment.

I don't think you can i put the gps
Under my rear view mirror and angle the screen slightly towards me i seem to see it ok

There's no way to change the contrast on the unit, but you can adjust the brightness settings and/or try different colour schemes.

To adjust the brightness level on your unit, please follow the steps below:
1. Go to the main menu.
2. Tap on ‘Settings’.
3. Select ‘Screen’.
4. You can then adjust the brightness manually. The unit is set to ‘Auto’ as default. This means that the unit will automatically change from Day to Night mode.
5. You can override the Auto setting by tapping on the ‘Screen Mode’ option at the top of the screen and select either ‘Day’ or ‘Night’ mode.

To change the colour scheme of the map on your unit, please follow the steps below:
1. Go to the main menu.
2. Tap on ‘Settings’.
3. Select ‘Map Display'.
4. Select ‘Map scheme’.
5. Choose the desired colour scheme from the list.

I did the same with this one and it also did nothing -- I emailed Navman -- TWICE -- and they never got back to me either I am convinced Navam are a dead loss

Please note that when your device is connected to a computer, it is normal for it to display a data-transfer screen. This indicates that your unit has established a connection with your computer.

If you wish to use your device, we recommend charging it first for at least 30 mins or 1 hr via in-car power/AC adapter or 1 hr via USB cable to your computer.

Is there a repacement battery available for the Navman Duo 2.0. I have had mine for about three years and have had a few problems recently. Battery depletes charge overnight, have charged it seperately but still loses charge rapidly. Guess the3 internal battery is cactus. Other than that the screen has gone dark a few times but I am putting that down to the battery. Any help will be appreciated. Other than those few problem shave had a great run out of the device. Please note that your device is designed to be connected to the in-car power adapter at all times. The battery is designed as a backup power source for Short-term use only.

Please always ensure you are using the Genuine Navman in-car power adapter as using a different adapter can cause issues such as the one you have described.

It is recommended to connect the device to your computer once a month (charge for 24 hours) to fully charge the battery and to check for software updates.

I am using the power cord that was supplied with the Navman. The problem seems to be when I turn off the vehicle and the Navman shuts down it still uses battery. Since I bought it it turns on and displays the map on start up. Recently it goes back to loading the maps and I have to accept the terms and then it will load maps. The screen has also gone dark on me two times but has come back when I have connected the Navman to a power supply to charge it out of the car. Other than that it works fine, just wondering if the battery is the problem.
I have, today, fully charged it in the house, then turned it on and the battery was fine and didn't drop while I had it on for an hour. I allowed it to shut itself down as it does in the car and after an hour the battery was half flat.

We understand that, however, your device uses a lithium-ion battery. Due to that, it’s normal to lose some battery charge during inactivity or even the power is off. With default settings, battery life generally ranges up to 15 minutes.

For the problem in going back in accepting the terms and loading the maps, it is possible that the problem is with the software or the in-car power adapter (not giving the device enough power). To test this, please refer below:

Based on your description, it seems like your device is on demonstration mode.

To get this rectified, please perform a hard reset to the device by poking the reset hole at the back of the device. Then, try to go to the main menu > Settings > Scroll down > Select Demo > Select Off (first option) > confirm by selecting Yes.
