So far this is the best 7 seater family car
If you are a daddy or mom of a growing family, this is the best car so far under $50k.
Tilt and slide is the best part that I love in this car. It makes 3rd row access super easy while a child booster seat is still fitted on the 2nd row.
Performance wise its 3500cc engine is very powerful, it tows Jayco camper trailer like a breeze. Steering reaction is also very impressive part for me.
Very smooth riding while quiet and compy.
Some people complains about the CVT mission but I didn't experience any issue with this car including CVT since I own this car in 2016.
Purchased in April 2021 at Nissan Dealers for A$42,000.00.

Love it!
This is our family car (5 people including 3 quickly growing boys) and we love it. Its a pleasure to drive, has oodles of space and is great for touring. We regularly go on outback trips with a trailer and this is the perfect car for it (although more clearance and 4WD capability would be welcome).
To sum up:
Performance wise (on road) - good power, good power when towing, very smooth transmission, low road/engine noise in the cabin, great handling
Performance wise (off road - dirt roads/fire trails, sand) - cheap plastic hangs very low off...Read more
the front bumper bar and gets trashed easily yet doesn't seem to be there for anything other than cosmetics, ABS/traction control doesn't seem to kick in as much as on other soft roaders I've driven (e.g. outlander) Interior - one of the few annoying things about this car is the large display in the middle of the dash and GPS receiver area, that are pretty much useless unless you pay the $20K extra for the Ti model. I've never seen such a high cost for an internal GPS system. Seats - all seats are 'Australian sized' and the 3rd row is split and big enough for an adult to be comfortable in. Be aware that kids can and do lose valuable items under the 3rd row of seats (e.g. Nintendo's) and they are very hard to get out. So far, it hasn't had any mechanical or other issues and has been one of the best cars we've owned.

its a rubber duckey
i bought an st model last year because i can afford one on a 1% percent finance nothing else.it was my first brand new suv, hurray! im 110kgs heavy and about 6ft height and im still struggling with its size.my wife avoids it at all cost.i like driving it its got a bit of grunt under the hoodie.with its mere size i think definitely needs wider wheels.its definitely not a 4wd so dont think of taking one offroad.it can do with a bit of modern, sportier front and rear end.word of advice make sure that oil is changed when it goes in for service..

Great urban 7 seater SUV - Love it
I bought a demonstrator 2WD ST and so far loving it. The car is pretty spacious in front, in 2nd row and the 3rd row is pretty good for the young ones. the overall ride, and handling is pretty good although you seem to miss the road feel through the electro hydraulic steering system. The three zone climate controls works perfectly. The fuel consumption is a bit heavy in city but is superb on a longer drive. We went to Esperance from Perth on a 10 hr drive and it wasn't tiring at all. THe CVT certainly adds the smoothness and fuel efficiency. Fo...Read more
r those experiencing any shudder just take it to the dealership for a software upgrade on the tranny. I have not have any dramas so far. For those looking for a family 7 seater SUV that comes packed with features and practicality I would recommend the pathfinder R52.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great family vehicle
Just purchased TL 2wd Pathfinder, Beautiful car to drive. Plenty of room with the 7bseats in use and huge boot area with the extra seats down. Got fuel economy down to 8.2L around town use, this was better than our previous much smaller vehicle. Had a few extras fitted which make it look spot on, being fog lights and the back chrome boot protection strip, front mud flaps, door scuff protection strips. Reverse camera is great with the selected path lines and the I like the hands free phone better than bluetooth as it shows the peoples name from m...Read more
y iphone on our screen and I can just push the button on the steering wheel to answer the call when I am ready. All works nice and clear. At the moment everyone in our family very happy with vehicle. We were debating between Pathfinder and Toyota Klueger, but the pathfinder just had more room in all the seats, also the keyless start, keys stay in my hand bag, on base model and the much loved dual climate control.Similar opinion? Love it so far.
I have only owned this vehicle for 1 week, so this review is more about first impressions.
This is for a 2013 Pathfinder R52 ST 2WD.
The good: Comfortable seats and great driving position. It's very quiet on the road. The stereo sounds good, and the A/C is effective. There is plenty of power and so far no sign of the CVT shudder that one or two others have reported. The CVT itself is brilliant. Under most conditions you don't even notice that it's a CVT. The instruments are clear, easy to read and attractive.
The average: Headlights a...Read more
re just OK. It can occasionally feel a bit doughy off the line, making it it a little bit of a challenge sometimes in traffic. The owner's manual is somewhat confused and some features are not well explained. The ride, while generally comfortable, can be slightly jiggly over patched bitumen, level crossings and the like. The poor: Climate control controls are confusing and not intuitive. The bluetooth phone system doesn't have voice control (in the ST trim) and it's pretty clunky and slow to use. To make a call you have to scroll through phonebook entries one at a time until you find the number you want, which can be a very slow process. Answering a call is quick and easy though, but the sound quality at the caller's end is quite poor.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Horrible SUV so far - Lemon - Dud - Rubbish -
See update towards the bottom of this review to see why I have reduced this to 1 stars (you can't give 0). Steer very clear of this dud car.
This review is based on a 2014 Pathfinder ST 2WD. I just upgraded from a 2012 Dualis +2 to this and the difference is staggering. Both my Dualis and this were the base model ST versions but, unlike the Dualis, this SUV never makes me feel like I skimped out. I have so far only traveled 500 odd Km and will update this review if/when there is anything to add.
I purchased this vehicle from Sutherland Nissan who were brilliant. Can't say good enough things about them
Firstly, the good.
To put it simply, pretty much everything.

I cant edit the above post for some reason. My car has just recieved it's second gearbox at Nissans expense. I will update this thread if/when it fails again.
Second gearbox seems to be holding up. It's definitely not as smooth as it was before (jolting) and power seems to be subdued somewhat. It looks like the new gearbox program kills power for the purpos... Read more
e of gearbox integrity. I have just hit 22,000 km and have had no shuddering for 10,000km or so. Other issues that have developed include sagging sun visors, erratic rear camera behaviour and a couple of panels being misaligned. Steer clear of this if you want quality.Similar opinion? This review is for the R52 pathfinder, not the R51 pathfinder. I have already reported the review to the Product Review staff.
