Best reflux formula around!
I love this formula! My baby has silent reflux and we tried every brand of formula available in shops. This was by far the best! She was having a regular formula and zantac (no other reflux formulas were working) but it didnt seem to help. She screamed constantly. As soon as we changed to novalac reflux she became a different baby. She now only cries when she is tired or hungry and is a much happier baby. I love that the formula does not thicken in the bottle as there is no need to change up a size in teats. She has also gone from drinking 60-8...Read more
0mls (would not drink more after burping due to pain) to 150mls of formula per feed. Highly recommend that u give this formula a go if your baby is suffering from reflux. It works!!! Does not thicken in bottle, baby seems to enjoy taste. A little bit more expensive than regular formulas but worth it!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Fantastic Product for Reflux infants
Fantastic Product for infants with reflux. My Daughter was diagnosed with reflux and I tried many other formulas with no success. I was told about this one and gave it a go. Wow now we rarely get milk coming up. Saves me having to do alot of washing. I have recently tried to mix Novolac Reflux with Normal stage one Novolac and unfortunately milk comes back up. So it was back to Novolac Reflux and that solves the problem.
A 100g smaller than most tins but if your looking for a formula to help reflux this is the one!! It has no lip to...Read more
level off the formula and you will need to use a knife. But it makes tipping the dregs into the new tin easy. Scoop is smaller, but that means you can make the formula up in 30mls of water instead of 50mls. And when you have a what can only be described as fussy feeder or inconsistent feeder like mine 30ml increments are much better!! Can only find this in chemists but not all chemist. But well worth the money and time to find it. Well worth it. It doesn't thicken in the bottle unless gets a little cold (my daughter is inconsistent in the time it takes to drink a bottle) and does need a little re warming. It is designed to thicken in the stomach, this does result in the poo being a little thickened too. But thats ok. Needs to be mixed in warm water. Doesn't mix well in cold water.Similar opinion? OK
My son used for about 1 month but became easily constipated. From our experiece he also had quite a break out in eczema from using this formula.
Prevented spit up (posetting) after feeds, created by a trusted medical brand.
Created constipation quite often, only available at pharmacies and rarely discounted.

Such a relief!
Brilliant, cant recommend this highly enough. So relieved to find this formula. My nine month old was still projectile vomiting reguarly and therefore unable to last through the night. The difference once we started using this formula was instant. Amazing. She is now sleeping through the night and feeding is no longer a stressful and messy exercise! I used a few different reflux formula and found this was by far best for my baby. S26 she wouldn't touch and she still vomited on the karicare alot more than with the Novalac. She is now 10.5 ...Read more
months and she no longer projectle vomits being solely on the Novalac just the odd small sick up which is a vast improvement. Couldn't be happier, thanks Novalac Stops projectile vomiting Expensive but worth every penny it stops your baby vomiting all over the place and yourselfSimilar opinion? Has certainly slowed my 5 month old baby's spitting down!
Tried this after 5 fantastic months on Karicare Goat 1. Something changed at 5 months, and my son just couldn't keep the Karicare Goat down- so we switched to this after reading the reviews here.
I recommend preparing this in a bottle with a lid, shake the heck out of it, and then put a teat on. Much less blockage with the teat. Never too much of an issue however- if the teat blocks, just shake again and it usually cleared it enough for my son to finish his bottle.
Still have a bit of spitting, but absolutely no smell, and it's about half of what it used to be.
Staying on this formula for now!
Son loves it, less spit up!

Love it. Having tried alot of formula (I have 4 kids 6 and under, including twins) this one is Excellent as it thickens in the stomach and settles all that Reflux right down. Happy baby = Happy Mummy. I was hesistant to try this formula as I was worried that if she didn't like it it would be a waste and previously witht the twins I had tried Karicare AR and S26 AR and had issues with too thick formula and constipation. But I am glad I switched. If your baby is fussy and OR vomits alot, don't wait 4 months like I did - just try it, it may wor...Read more
k for you. :-) Baby liked taste, hasn't got a bad smell to it but it smells different to other formula, also nappys don't smell very bad as other formula, helped settle my little baby girl after only one bottle. It's been a week now and thank God what a difference... :-) Nothing really - the only thing is which I wouldn't consider a CON is that you have to know how to mix it well. It's slightly thicker then normal formula but no where near as thick as AR formula. I learnt the hard way that you can just use normal teats if you heat the water up well and then add formula, shake hard and then let cool for 5 minutes or so (in a cup of cold tap water). I didn't like the Avent Variable Flow Teat, too fast even on lowest setting my 4 months was choking. No 2 works fine and I will soon try No 3 (with no 3 avent teat I may not need it to be heated more and then cooled). Even Cross Cut Teats work well. Maybe other Variable Flow Teats may be better.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Terrible
I'm not at all happy with this formula and after posting this I'm going to attempt to get a full refund. A real let down and a shame that mothers who already are having difficulties with feeding have to go through more dramas.
I don't really like anything about it.
I was really dissapointed with this formula. My baby has bad reflux and this is the third type we have used in 9 weeks! Its the most expensive formla and isn't worth the price. This has actualy made her reflux dramaticly worse. It has suffed her routine and she is now waking during the night. As others have stated the scoop is a real pain.

I have used Novalac's AC formula previously for my colicky bub and it worked, so when he started getting reflux and voniting after every feed, I had no hesitation in changing to this one. It seems to have worked as my baby does not throw up all of his feed anymore and he seems to enjoy it. You can see him get excited when he sees his bottle being prepared. As someone else mentioned, the variable flow teat does seem to make this formula come out really quick, but my bubs can handle it so have no need to change teats.
It is only available from t...Read more

My bub was vomitting and losing every feed, his GP suggested trying it. Im glad we did as he isnt nearly as bad. We still have some days where he may vomit but its nothing like it used to be. I find that reducing the intake of fluid on those days is all it takes, little and often approach. Overall very happy we found it.
Thickens in the tummy just as tin describes, and the reflux has lessened.
I can onyl get it at specific chemist. Gregs chemist always has alot of them and they arnt that expensive there.

We love this product our bubs is very happy on this formula. I have found a way to make up bottles a little easier, boil the kettle, let it sit in the kettle for half an hour, pour water in bottles and leave for another half an hour and shake, it seems to dissolve a lot easier this way.
This formula is great, it has stopped our baby's reflux but he still does vomit on it.
It's hard to find places that stock this product but the Chemist Warehouse has this formula on sale when it's in stock. At first it was difficult to work out the best way to make up bottles with this formula as it's extremely difficult to dissolve it all.

Was our life saver!!!
Dr gave us Novalac Reflux to try as my son had reflux. I didnt want to try it as it was more expensive as the shop brand formulas.. After trying a few different shop formulas.. I relented and tried Novalac Reflux.. I havent looked back. It helped immediately!!!! I was scared it would make him constipated but so far we havent had a problem. (And we have been on it for about 5 weeks)
Worked immediately. It goes down "thin" and "thickens" in their stomach
It can only be bought at Chemists and is quite pricey.. You also cannot make it up before hand as it thickens as it gets cold. Small price to pay for such good results

Really Works
After seven different doctors telling us different things the only thing which really worked with our daughters eating/vomiting pain etc was this formula. We prepare the bottles to room temp and that seems to work just fine. Although the formula is a little more expensive than some and is not always readily available in all chemists (this is not a formula you can buy in Woolworths and Coles - in Darwin anyway), it is worth a shot where you have a child who appears to have eating problems.
Ease of use, the fact my daughter is happy on it feeding well and has regular bowel movements (which can he hard with some formulas!)
Is a little expensive but worth it.

It didn't help bubs reflux (which is why is was on it) so I changed to a different formula and now bubs is happy.
product didn't thicken in the bottle and block the teat.
It didn't help my baby's reflux, formula was too runny so he would still posset alot, very expensive compared to other brands and can only purchase at chemists.

I love this formula. It did not cure our baby of reflux (not that we expected it to) but it really did help with the vomiting. Tastes the closest to breast milk and baby really enjoyed it. Highly recommend this product.
Great for reflux. Really helped my baby with her constant vomitting. Tasts great compared to other formulas. Baby loved it also.

A good solution to a baby's upset tummy, we used this when bub was first on forumla and having issues with tummy upsets. Although we didn't stick with it (and found it caused a few toilet issues) it was a good starter.
Stopped reflux just as the tin described, my doctor suggested it and we were really happy with the result, seems to be gentle on the bub's tummy, decent price
It isn't able to be found in any of the supermarkets near me, so requires a specific trip to the pharmacy, the small scoop you use to get the formula out is a little irritating

this formula has transformed my daughter into the happy baby we initially had, she was always somewhat constipated on formula but on other brands would only poo every 5 days but on this she would poo every day to combat the constipation the doctor put her on actilax and she is great pooing now. i had to change the teats to avent 3 hole teats as the tin recommends variable flow but these teats flowed to quickly for my daughter and would flood her mouth.
stopped the regurgitating sounds in my babies stomach, it is great that it doesn't thicken un...Read more

absoloutely love this formula. after alot of trial and error this was the formula that worked for us. as the formula thickens in bubs stomach it has stopped the severe reflux he had on other formulas leaving us with a happy settled bub. it also did not constipate him like some of the other formulas we've tried. i would happily recommend this product and will happily use it if we have another bub.
prevented reflux, thickens in babies stomach not in the bottle which made baby drink it more easily,
only available at a chemist, more costly than other brands, cant make prepared bottles and leave in fridge

I switched to this from Novalac Colic formula, once Reflux took over as a noticeable problem for our baby. I preferred to not switch to another brand because I was happy Novalac seemed gentler on my baby's stomach previously with their colic formula. Once reflux was no longer an issue when bub was older, I was grateful however to move baby to a cheaper brand formula that had formula sachets/boxes in their line.
A reflux product on the market that gave a noticeable improvement in my baby's reflux. Noticeably thicker than normal formula.
Difficult to find everywhere.
Costly compared to other formulas.
Shame Novalac don't sell pre made formula sachets/boxes for travel.

I was very fortunate to have a sister who works for bayer, so therefore I got this forumula very cheap, otherwise it can be on the pricey side, however in saying that, this formula does help. I had to give up breastfeeding my son as he just kept on bringing my milk, put him on this and it dramatically helped, and saved my carpet from stains. One thing that I didn't like is that the scoop is smaller, so instead of usually having to do 4 scoops you end up having to do 7 scoops at a time. I found this better than the s26. aid, it is harder to find, and only in chemists, but worth it. Bayer really needs to market their Novalac brand much better here in Australia. My sister advises me that this is the number one forumla in Europe, alot of people here in Australia have never heard of it. Would be much more convenient if this was in the supermarket. This stuff can really help mums who babies suffer from reflux, it really is a lifesaver. Actually helps babies reflux you really have to give this a good shake- your arms get a good work outSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
