One day it was fine and the next, nothing. Very disappointing. It is reasonable to get more than 2.5 years from a product before it stops working. I see from the review of others that this is a problem that many have found with this oven. Why has it not been fixed?

Good afternoon, as your unit is not far out of warranty please contact our customer care desk on 1300 739 033 and one of our consultants will arrange a service call for you. The team at Omega.
A total of 4 faults across 2 new ovens, all the same fault. This is one dodgy product **UPDATE**
This oven, model OO654X has had a fault with the heating element, the 4th fault with this model. This is the second oven we purchased from.Omega, same model in the space of 1 year. Both have had same faults. Customer service said it's out of warranty, a service call out fee of $179 to repair it. This is unacceptable. An expectation of the service of an oven is at least 7-10 years
I don't know anybody replacing an oven every two years.
Considering that this is the second oven with the 2nd fault (or a total of 4 faults across 2 ovens) surely th...
Read moreis is a known issue?. There is a fault and as such a product recall should occur. I've raised a case with ACCC. This is not the end of this Shriro. **Update** Received a call from the Sales Manager, who was very helpful and humble. His explanation with the operational issues they are having internally reassured me that OMEGA (Shriro) weren't intending to leave me out in the cold. The business is 3 weeks behind operationally (Pandemic problems that we're all facing). They're endeavouring to solve the issue with this oven for me which has improved my perception of the business. Thanks for helping OMEGA (Shriro)

The 16yo Westinghouse oven in our rental property was starting to have issues with the thermostat, and due to the matching cooktop spectacularly destroying an element the owners (after several months of delay) were informed by our property manager that this was a problem they needed to address. They wished to spend as little as possible and we ended up with this contraption.
Initial opinions were favourable. It was not only a convective oven but also had a fan grill option. Reached temperature quickly, quiet and despite the small cavity (my ir...
Read moreon skillets don't fit in this oven with the door closed as in the Westinghouse) perfectly suitable. Until one day I came home from work and my wife said "I think there's something wrong with the oven" Three months in and the first failure. The fan had ceased working. Omega claim their product is "European made" but it's made in Turkey - as far from Europe as you can get while still being accurate (I hope the factory is on the Western side of the Bosporus Strait). Property manager needed to prod the owners again to rectify it. Appliance serviceman was very cheerful, identified the problem but didn't have a spare in his van as "we don't deal with this unusual brand often" Several weeks later we have a replacement fan from Omega but the whole house reeks of burnt industrial oil when the oven is operational. Replacement is loud and clearly audible in the next room. Would not recommend.Purchased in .

We have owned this oven for 18 months and heating element is gone. At the time we bought it there were not many reviews of this oven and since we renovated whole house we decided to go with Omega oven.
Just have a look at range of experiences people have with this ovens and spare yourself pain - these are not built to last.

Bought a new house with Nicheliving, did not get the chance to pick an oven as it came as a package. After 2 years and 3 months without frequent use of it, about once per fortnight or even less sometimes, heating element is gone and it is out of warranty. This seems to be a common issue and they are not doing anything about it.

Owned this oven for 3 years and 6 months before the heating element of the fan-forced oven option died on me. This is definitely not from heavy use as I only use the oven once a fortnight.
I'm just appalled that this seem to be a common problem/issue with this particular model and that 3 years and 6 months is all I can get out of an oven these days.

I have just had a repairer out to replace the fan element for the second time in less than three years. Otherwise it is easy to use and is cheap.

Im not satisfied at all with the oven. It takes ages to heat up, you dont even know what setting to put it on as they arnt labelled, and if you wanted to find an online users manual, you cant! Because there is no product code on the oven.

This oven looks good but that's about it, won't touch omega again, failed us three times in three year's. Rubbish
Twice the element failed out of warranty, then the temperature switch went. Dont know what happened to this brand just don't make them like they used to I guess. Will not be buying or recommending this brand again.

Purchased Feburary 2016. 2 years and 9 months later the heating element ceased working. Although 9 months out of warranty, Shriro replaced the element without charge. There was no hesitation to repair under a warranty claim and I was happy. Now 12 months after the repair, the complete oven has stopped working - no fans, no heating, no lights. I rang Shririo and asked the question - Should I expect an oven to last longer that 3 years. The reply was yes...... great then under Australian Consumer Law, I can expect a repair, replacement or a ref...

We live in a reasonably upmarket rented apartment, and when the previous oven finally broke down just over a year ago (Jun 2017) they got the Omega to replace it. Of course they got the cheapest thing they could find, and we have to live with the inconvenience.
Here are my findings: -
Pro
The temperature heats up pretty quickly
It has a range of oven, grill, fan and so forth settings
Con
You can't read the dials without a torch and looking close up, its an all-black panel
It cooks unevenly front-to-back

This oven is terrible. It doesn't heat up well and food does not get cooked properly. Don't buy. For example I baked lasagne at 190°C and after 30 minutes they were still cold. I had another omega oven before and it broke down. Very bad brand ... avoid buying it.

Cooks food good, heats up fairly quickly & retains heat quite well. It is easy to use and the timer function you can set it to turn off automatically after a given period of time. Bit of a guessing game with the temperature dial not being fully numbered.but for the price well worth it.

Choose this model because we it comes in a package for a fair price. Cook top, oven and ranghood. It looks really modern and does the job. Have a space in the oven. Quick to heat up and not too noisy. The only thing is only have a short warranty and Harvey Norman cant extend the warranty under product care..
