No you can use it as required, minimum purchase can be around $50 in some places. And if you’re needing more you simply request and generally it’s approved right away.

There was no way of doing that via the app, I tried to, even tried chatting with their "bot" who did not help. Have contacted them and will see how I go! After reading all the hassles others have had I want to close my account also.

Why is my account blocked in a risk audit?

Good luck getting an answer from Openpay in this one! I’m still waiting for an email after telling them I wasn’t emailing identification information to them because it’s not secure. As I understand it they need to get 100 points of id which is entirely reasonable but their method isn’t. Unfortunately there doesn’t appear any way they will unlock the account until they have reviewed it.

How do I change my card for payment

1 answer
troopeacestraya
troopeacestraya

Go to settings top right corner and add new card details. You can then slide the card you want to use when purchasing. You cannot remove a card if you’re on a payment plan. You need to add new card details first. Simply call or email and Openpay can help.

I applied for an increase in credit early on and got denied, and it dropped my balance to zero.

Now I’ve paid off both my plans - and still have a zero balance.

Is that just the way it’s going to be? If so, how do I close my account?

Close your account with them and use afterpay, they don’t charge sneaky fees on each repayment without telling you beforehand.

troopeacestraya
troopeacestraya

Openpay actually have it on the app when you purchase what the fees are. A 50cent fee isn’t much. If you miss payments and incurred $10 late fee it’s your fault for not contacting Openpay and explaining you’re in financial trouble and to ask for payment to be frozen. So they’re telling you beforehand, perhaps you’re not reading the terms and conditions correct.

I weht to buy some goods from bunnings, my barcde number wont come up when they scan

1 answer

troopeacestraya

Close any other app that may be running, then re-open the Openpay app and hit buy now and the code should come up, staff then scan it and the payment will ask you to agree on what repayments you’re wanting to pay and then it’s done. Easy. Sometimes the staff get confused.

Can someone please explain the redraw fee?

2 answers

Openpay C.Openpay

Hi Scott! An establishment or redraw fee may be applicable on an approved Openpay plan. This will vary depending on where you shop. You can see any applicable fees when you make a purchase online or in the app, or ask the sales assistant if you're shopping in-store!

Scott.s
Scott.s

Yeah I saw that in the PDF, it says that a redraw fee is applicable on a second plan if you haven’t paid 20% off the first plan???? I have a limit of $1000 and had 2 other plans at the time of this purchase but both plans only had 1 payment left (so the 20% had been covered). I don’t understand why I was charged the redraw fee as well as a $3.95 fee on each instalment???

Hi, for an item bigger than my available limit, can I use a Bunnings gift voucher and then Openpay the rest?

1 answer

Hi Kiara, for Bunnings purchases, the total purchase must be under your spending limit. If you're buying multiple items, you might like to split it up and pay for them separately? Let me know how you go! :)

I can only pay one payment at a time on the app....I am wanting to pay the whole lot in one amount??

troopeacestraya

I make separate payments to get ahead, yes there’s a small fee, but my limit gets increased and I have what I desperately needed to begin with. I don’t think it’s possible to pay in full all at once. Hope that helps. Thanks
