I have never purchased anything on openpay yet but I have been "pre-approved" for my first purchase which is up to $500 and set to the store I'm going through. Does this mean it will 100% go through once I make the purchase at the shop or is there a chance it won't go through???

HI Rhm! That's correct - if you have been pre-approved for a certain amount at a store, and you make a purchase at that store, it should go through. :)

I would say it's still not 100% I went through OpenPlay applied for account limit increase had a credit check and was approved for $1000 for Bunnings went to Bunnings and got items got to cashier scanned barcode and locked account for a risk assessment. After that I was embarrassed lots of people in line behind me and ended up paying for items myself. I then contacted afterpay and told them I was disappointed and wanted my account closed. That's not what you do too customers.

I had several paid plans and few current when I applied for $900 to get a reverse cycle aircon and I didn’t have anything go wrong, I’ve been pre-approved $1250.00 for my car service and had it done and no issues when I went to pay? I took screenshot of the available extra amount with its expiration date. All went well no issues when coming to paying. Sorry you had this happen. It’s not a regular thing.

I’ve had numerous openpay plans and have never come across this. Went to try and get the barcode up at Bunnings and it says I need to add a card? Not sure why as I’ve had about 8 plans with openpay previously. When I try to add a card/manage my cards it keeps coming up with this message, tried my other card and my partners and all say the same ??

The difficulty was making a transaction of a purchase over the phone, which was with Bunnings. They done what they could over the phone after I had given them the number under the barcode of my openpay account but it wasn’t that simple unfortunately. It was a call to openpay to get a email from them for me to send proof of identification ie drivers license, call them back, only to be told that this could take 24-48 hours to clear. Ridiculous. Openpay WILL NOT be getting my money.

If you have several plans on a old card and get a new one you cannot remove the card details until it’s paid. You need to contact Openpay by phone and change your new debit/credit card details and then the app should allow new purchases. You can swipe the card details until you have the correct card and try that way too. Good luck

I tried to open an Openpay account a moment ago and it said it didn’t recognise my details and re entered them, which I did and I got the same message so I closed the tab down and brought up a new page, when I entered my email address the site said it recognised me and sent me a temporary passsword, I entered it and I was let into their site. I then tried to make a purchase from My Deal for feliway and their site said ‘ we do not recognise your last name. Does anyone know how I can fix this as my cat is destroying my furniture and the I get some feliway the better, thanks everyone for listening :)

It’s easier to use your bank details, that way if you have a cancellation of a card the payments still go through. You set up the key card details in the app and need 20% of the original purchase cost to take the goods. Hope this helps. Thanks

Hi, Im a regular Openpay customer and recently tried to make a purchase with Bunnings online, It says my bank has declined the request even though I have the funds to cover initial payment. I have used it for online Bunnings previously with no issue. The card is not expired. Can anyone explain this please

Have you used online before? Did you save your card details? Have you got new cards to past purchases?. Could be the bank trying to stop fake transactions, is this a normal transaction you would make?. Sometimes they stop it just in case .
