Quick and easy to use great options to repay
The only improvement is that the app is very hard to read needs to have some improvements made there otherwise concept is great and can use at Bunnings and Anaconda.

This is awesome!!!
Easy to use and very affordable repayments over time. I needed a mower and my credit limit has raised as I successfully paid out a couple of plans. Very happy.

HAPPY
Such a great idea. You can have whatever you want and without the credit card. A modest amount comes out of my account on.pay day and it feels as if there isnt any debt.

Great and easy to use...
Really easy to sign up and use... great idea and interest free. The only thing you should be offered more then a $500 start up, at least $1000 would be better and no instant payment as like Afterpay

Could be better
Easy to start a plan and very affordable. Unfortunately it is hard to add a card and has caused my wife to be locked out of her account. I went to add a card and it would not let me.

Avoid these loan shark scammers
I've had problems with this system twice now and two times they have refused to take $9.50 charges from my account. I have to transfer money manually for the payment to be made and I never get notification emails about it. They don't give you a chance to pay at all they just extort money.
The current time is there was problems using the buggy app at the register. I was trying to change the saved card used and it kept crashing. Long story short, I deleted one card and due to problems I had to open pay the full amount not part pay.

make two early payments due to the mistake and the system blocked me for "fraud", and said it was "being reviewed" which it was not. I can't really tell how paying off my account is considered fraud ! This is what hardware 2FA is all about, preventing logins stolen too. Being a dodgy buggy phone app only system with no webapp console, I was unable to manage anything, and due to getting no warning notification they charged me $9.50 immediately again. They are now refusing to pay me back due to their buggy mistakes and blaming me for not calling them about the system blocking me. This is not my problem the system was so buggy it had a spack for making early payments and blocking me. This is also not my problem the buggy system never actually notified anyone about it and left it blocked. Extorting scammers, avoid this system. Those extra payments I don't need right now in financial stress and fire emergencies. I have been on high watch all month and don't need to micro manage other people's mistakes.Similar opinion? Pretty easy to apply
I love that you can choose the day your payments come out and that you can choose more than one length of time to pay it off. Not excited about the fees though

Happy overall with Openpay
I've had openpay for awhile now, and although it's easy to use and I love you can use it online, I wish there were more mainstream shops to purchase from. I don't use afterpay, but afterpay do have many many more shops to buy from. That's the biggest downfall for me. Also, aside from online, there is only one store within an hour of me that I can visit to purchase in-store. The usability of the website to search for stores etc is not great - I feel in 2020, technology is so advanced, this could be improved on a lot. If I could make any suggestion to openpay, it would be to bring in more stores that people use in general, e.g.. Target, Big W, Kmart, pillow talk etc.

Commonsense, Easy to use, Effective online resource...
Hi, Chris here. My initial contact with OpenPay was simple, quick and effortless in getting all setup and able to use the online service straight away. Minutes, and it’s all action.
OpenPay offers an effective and useful online facility, as I’m disabled and confined to home and a w’chair this service adds significantly to my overall independence and to the better quality of ‘my’ life.
As a ‘new’ user I can easily offer a tick in their favour. It’s not just as simply put, on first look, but Is really a whole lot more. Appreciated.
And, was great for my v’late Christmas shopping. Thank you
Chris

Good but could be better
Its good in the sense of allowing you to break up payments for something that you might otherwise have had to forgo. A good alternative to Afterpay (who for no reason can cut you off from your account without explanation or doing anything wrong).
Open pay is limited to an odd array of providers and has a low online retailer presence such as the big retail outlets and department stores. They also don;t cover all of a retailers items. I found one retailer offers openpay but it wasn't available to use on 3 items I wanted to buy.

anges to a card is also not very clear and straightforward (my card was stolen 3 payments into a 4 payment plan so I had to change my CC details. This was quite difficult to do. Also over the Xmas period a payment schedule slipped my mind so I missed it by a matter or hours and when I realised I'd copped a $9.50 fee which bites a little. Overall it works but being available in more common retailers would be handy. Also I found that an online account to log into wasn't available on a browser and instead they prefer you yo use a smart device App. If you don;t own a smart phone or tablet (and there are people who don't) then it's difficult to use the service to keep a track of your account.Similar opinion? System is severely flawed
I signed up to Openpay a year or so ago but have never used it, until 2 days ago. I wish now that I never used it as trying to pay out your 'plan' early, means you get locked out of the account. I was told its due to preventing fraud as paying things early means you can have a higher credit amount. Apparently fraudsters will pay out immediately to obtain a higher credit under another persons name and then leave the higher amount unpaid. Ok so I can understand the method to their madness in not wanting you to pay out early, however, blocking you...Read more
r account so you can't see details of your account is ridiculous as the only option to seeing anything is through the app. They divide the purchase amount into 5 payments, the first payment is taken straight away and then you're left with 4 fortnightly payments. I jumped into the app to pay out the plan as money came in a little earlier than expected. They took the payment as blocked my account. I emailed and had the account unlocked with an explanation of why this happened and was told i would now be able to proceed with paying out the plan. Made another payment, they took the payment and I was blocked once again. Had the account unlocked, waited a day and tried to make another payment, it said my account had 'insufficient funds' and was blocked once again. The money was there so not sure why its done this and why it's blocked me regardless. Another email has been sent to have the debit for the final two payments to be taken and my account to be closed. Honestly, such poor management of accounts.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Made online purchase that crashed after payment option. Deposit was taken within minutes - the plan never activated and the order never went through. Contacted company and was told that i should wait 42 hours for the order to be processed then contact them if nothing happens. Openpay allowed us to purchase an expensive household essential item.
Our electric hot water service finally gave up and to purchase a new service was not cheap ($800), especially when it only lasted 7 years and just before Christmas. We needed to go LPG Continuous Flow ($800) to rid the tank problem and no longer pay high off peak electricity rates ($1500 per year). We are now enjoying the 7 fortnightly payment plan whilst we pay a lump sum for the new installation work and gas tanks ($1,000). Initially, Openpay only allowed $500 in our account, but were happy to increase this to $850 when we discussed our probl...Read more
em and showed that we had a clean credit history. After making the service purchase, we realised we purchased the wrong model. Working with the store to remedy this, they credited the plan to start a new one, and we were credited payments we had made for the wrong product within 48 hours. Very happy with Openpay.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Unlike Afterpay, they charge $9.50 for a missed payment
With Afterpay you have like 24hours to pay your missed payment. Openpay charges $9.50, no warning, no nothing, they just charge you. I like the idea of smaller payments to pay it off but not with high fees so that will be it for me once I paid off my plan and stick to AfterPay.

Hi, I have been using Openpay since it came about... went to use Openpay to purchase toys from mr toys today and they asked me for photo ID is this a new Openpay rule or mr toys rule?

Mr Toys, and they have no legal right to ask.
Thanks for your answer... I thought it was a bit odd.. I was trying to work out why they would even be asking when I’ve confirmed who I am with openpay.. I’ll be ringing mr toys head office tomorrow to make a query about it! :)

I was just about to use Openpay app as usual but it is now telling me I need to link my bank card before I can use it. I have two cards linked to my account and have used account successfully before. Used it yesterday in fact. When I enter my card details again it comes up with an error message stating that these card details already exist (no kidding). Cannot use the app because every time I go to access the barcode it tells me I need to link my card details??? I tried putting in a new card. Initially this worked but then when I went to use the barcode - same thing happened!! How can I fix????
