After using optifast for awhile I purchased a packet of optislim shakes. I compared the contents of both and noted that the sugar content in optislim is listed as lower compared to optifast shakes. I do not have diabetics but I am careful of the amount of sugar in anything I consume.
I also purchased two samples of other flavours as I was very impressed with the price compared to optifast.
I made up one a shake and while I noted that it was sweeter than optifast I presumed the sugar content as listed on the packet was accurate.

After discussion with my doctor she advised I try Optislim and to follow their program to lose excess baby weight. I purchased the Starter pack that has 4 flavours. The flavours are as good as any meal replacement shake gets but they arent terrible. My results would have been have better but my lack of will power took over
Could not stomach the vanilla. Could tolerate the coffee flavour if drank really cold. Such a waste of money as I am out $50 for the 2 boxes. I’m looking at the 40 satchels cringing that I don’t want to waste my money.
Toni Fegison shakes I need again.

I found optislim to be very watery and not so filling, lacking in flavour also.
Only good thing is it’s cheaper than optifast.
I will use what I have and see if I get the same results as optifast

Tried Vanilla and don't know why it tasted salty. The taste was very bad. Couldn't even finish my first and last drink. if I compare it to ALDI Shakes they taste much better. They were $55 for two packs i.e 42 drinks but its not worth at all to buy it. This taste makes dieting even difficult.

I have been replacing breakfast with 1 Optislim shake daily over the last two months, and so far I've lost 3.7kg. I am in no great rush to lose weight, so I'm happy with this result. For quicker loss, you could replace two meals with shakes or soups. I will say, do not buy the shakes with high expectations. They taste pretty terrible, but I have found using cold water, and using about 400ml of water and mixing well makes them much more palatable. I would rate the flavours as follows;
Chocolate - 4/5
Cafe Latte - 3/5
Banana - 1/5
Strawberry - 1.5/5
Vanilla - 4/5
First day on optislim platinum, i have coffee and banana flavours and they taste horrible can barley even stomach them with out dry reaching, all I can say is I wish I suck with the Tony Ferguson program at least the shakes tasted great. Will never buy optslim again and would not recommend it to anyone, spend the extra $$ and go with something better.

I have tried the chocolate (5 stars), vanilla (4 stars), strawberry (2 stars), coffee (4 stars) and banana (5 stars).
Just add the sachet to 200-300ml water. It’s recommend to use cold water but tastes fine with room temp too. Can add ice and blend but I prefer it without.
Also available to purchase Optislim soups (haven’t tried), bars (highly recommend the berry and caramel crunch, the fudge are not all that nice) and deserts (have not tried).
There are a few different versions available. Please consult your doctor before beginning...

Pre knee surgery I was on the Optifast program which was quite successful loosing 13kg.
Because of the increased price I found it difficult to continue with this product. It's been seven weeks since my operation and I am now commencing on the Optislim program. I am under the guidance of my local GP. Before I started on Optislim I requested some samples which were posted to me immediately. Did the taste test and found Optislim satisfactory.
I purchased 2X21 boxes of Optislim vanilla for $50 from Chemist warehouse. I will write a review in a couple of months and share my weight loss story. It's interesting to share other people's views and how they find the weight loss products. Cheers to all and best of luck on your weight loss program.
I have tried all flavours of optislim and optifast and although both can generate results in the first two weeks i have found that after that its like pulling hens teeth. I would have 3 shakes, 2 litres of water and 1 cup (not two) of vegetable puree and two coffees (skim milk, equal sugar) each day and also find that i get headaches and get terribly constepated. And for what because after initial success the weight doesnt move, so i keep thinking i may as well have eaten 21 meals plus extras if my goal was just going to be to maintain the weig...
Read moreht. Yet i keep perseveering hoping patience will be rewarded. I mean i can lose 6kg in first week and 2kg in second week but then maybe 2kg in next two months. Plus, the moment you stop and eat normally the weight jumps up huge (has no one else experienced this) and heres the kicker im paying 65 a fortnight for the privillege.I’ve been on Optislim platinum for a while now love the taste of the banana, chocolate and strawberry with 99.9% fat free milk and I use a shake with a metal wire ball. After shaking it I leave it for about a minute to thicken up and also it nice a frothy on top.
I have lost a total so far if 26 kgs and have 10kgs left. I have 1 for breakfast and 1 for lunch and a salad with trimmed meat or chicken for dinner.
I don’t exercise out of work as I work for a indoor sports centre and I roughly do anywhere from 15,000 - 20,000 steps a day.
I have finally found a shake that I can stick.

This product is inedible. It does not mix like the directions say. Instead the consistency of spew. Unfortunately I bought 3 boxes, the company is refunding me for only one box. So I am out of pocket about $37. They do not offer a satisfaction guarantee. Luckily not too many stores carry the product. Chemist Warehouse only in Australia. Beware it looks like the OPTIFAST product but is not. I have never had any problems with Optifast.
Tastes very sugary and the vanilla one tastes like coconut to me ! I wont buy again... ever ! Also, having only have 1 mg of fibre per serve is nowhere good enough.
Chocolate and coffee taste good and fill me up but not sure if I can have with hot water. I have not lost any weight but that could be any reason.

The taste of this product is better than others I've tried. The texture of it is better than most products too it is easy to mix up in a shaker cup and doesn't have a bad after taste.
Hi i have been on optislim for a few years now on and off. I found the shakes quite tasty. But am struggling to find different foods for dinner. If anyone has any ideas to what i can eat please right a reply.
hey everyone how are you all doing with your optislim journey?
ive gained alot of weight and diets havent been doing me well, i keep on nibbling on food in the pantry, im currently 96kg (my weight should be 75kg) and i want to loose as much as i can, has anyone lost good weight in a four week period .ive lost so far 2 kilos on the shakes
Easy to use with great results over a 3 week period. Weight loss was dramatic and managed to keep it off with maintaining diet. The flavours are no that bad considering the replica protein mixes.
Ive been on Optislim for almost a week and I have lost some noticeable weight. The shakes dont taste the best but they are tolerable. Personally, chocolate is the best flavour. I do have the expresso for my morning shake to replace my morning iced coffee.
Ive had no headaches or dizziness however I am tired and sore from exercising and have such a low calorie intake. Like someone has noted, these are not maccas thickshakes, so taste may be absent, but the goal is to lose weight and the shakes definitely work.
I have a morning and lunchtime shake then chicken and veg for dinner. If I find I'm getting a bit hungry, I'll have a small handful of cashews.
Yeah its hard, but worth the effort.
Tried the product only because it was on special at the Chemist wearhouse... never again... too sweet no flavour and its like drinking water compare with the One i get from Aldis........ Optislim wont evet have it again even for free.....

This is a waste of money. I wouldn't recommend. It taste like chemicals and it doesn't even help you lose weight. Personally I think it is more like a scam to me. Just drink water guys.
I am 122 kg and need to reduce to my ideal weight being 75 kg, large Aussie male, I told my doctor that's he is dreaming. I am committed to the diet, I hate being fat and all the insults that come with the weight. Yes I did it to myself by putting the food into my own mouth. 3 shacks a day and celery sticks into between. Lemon in my water to help with the taste. It is hard to walk by the fridge and not open that door and have a look inside on my way to the sink to collect water. I should hang a large picture of my on the fridge and cupboard as ...
Read morea turn real off. The only shack I can tolerate is chocolate. For the people who are complaining about how sweet they are, just add a little more water, it lessens the sweetness. I am a type 2 diabetic and sugar is evil to me. My shaker holds up to 500 ml Optislim states add 300 ml of water, hot or cold. Today for breakfast because its cold, I decided to try my choc shake with hot water in my trust coffee mug, tasted great just like a hot chocolate. You have to think about this, Optislim needs to add sugar to help kill the taste of all the minerals and vitamins. If they didn't the taste would be so bitter no one would be able to use the products. Sugar is our not our friend, the body turns sugars into fat and stored for later use, that is what is killing us diabetics. The headaches are not from the shakes, it's from the sugar, that the body crying out for a sugar fix, like someone else who had posted on this site states they returned to eating sugar and their headache stopped. If I eat to much sugar, say a slice and a coffee that all it takes for me the lose my eye sight for 2 days. No joke, I was out at Christmas shopping and decided to have my Christmas treat, a large vanilla slice and large mug of coffee, I kept shopping and by the time I finished and made my way to the car I had a problem, my sugars had sky rocketed and my eyesight was failing, I sat in my car and had to phone my son to come an collect me because I was blind couldn't see where to put the key into the ignition. That shocked my son. That trip cost me 4 days without eyesight until that body rid me of the excess sugar. Remember this is a diet shake not mcdonalds or kfc. Its not an easy and lazy meal option. You cant go out to an all you can eat buffet and eat like pig and wake up in the morning and have a shack and expect it to work a miracle, this product is a diet management programme not a cup-a-soup from the supermarket. At first its hard, really hard because your body is crying like a baby that needs to be feed, feed me, feed me. By your second child you have learnt to ignore the crying because by this time you have worked out what cry is real and what's not. Your brain is the same. The only bad side effect that I have found is that he have turned into a male dog, with all the water I am drinking I tend to spread my leg every time I see a tree. All we have to do re-train our brain not to ask for food all the time. Just pretend that you brain is your child or grandchild and say no. The key to the shake is adjust it to your taste and you both will end up friends and look great for it. Cheers- 3 reviews

I have been on Optislim for 10weeks now and I have lost 10.3kg.
I will admit I didn't stick to it perfectly initially having 2 shakes a day and a healthy chicken and salad lunch.
I recommend a fibre supplement.
I was walking between 3-6 Kms a day mid pace.
First 5 weeks I lost 7kg and slowed down but still working.
Shakes are a bit ordinary when using a shaker however if you use in a nutri ninja or similar it changes the take completely and it really is like a milkshake (water only) i also like it with a little ice. Overall I am extremely happy with the results. My BMI has gone from 33 obese to 29 overweight and I'm well on track to reach my healthy weight goal.
