We habe the same issue as another has posted in relation to the Sc895. Our original parent unit will not charge as the cord no longer connects properly it just falls out of the unit. We no longerhave our receipt for this although only 12 months old. Please advise which parent units other than the 895 we can use which will be compatible with our 895 cameras?

Hi there, my SECURE895 monitor is showing bright colors for all objects but shows baby/adult bodies as a dark black blue. Is there a mode it is stuck in or has the monitor failing.

Hi - the parent unit continuously freezes? At least twice a night, I have it plugged in to the charger and on all night and need to reset using a needle. Surely it shouldn't be freezing!!

Hi there, the SC850 and SC895 units are not compatible as they are utilising a different software platform. The SC850 system is compatible with the SC710 system only. All the best, Oricom Baby Care.

My husband and I are trying to work out how to wall mount the camera. We’ve bought the wall mounting bracket from Oricom but unfortunately can’t figure out how it works and there were no instructions sent with the bracket. I’ve also checked the manual but no mention of wall mounting there. I have already emailed Oricom about this but haven’t received a reply as yet. I should probably mention that mounting the camera on the side of the cot is no longer an option now as our little man has been knocking it down.

We are having the same issue. We have bought the wall mount for the SC895 monitor but can’t figure out how the camera screws onto the wall mount either. Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just wondering why the camera zooms in so much, I have trouble trying to place it in the nursery to see my baby. Only option is to look directly at his face as it’s so zoomed in. Only gives you another option to zoom in even more.... is there a way to fix this as it’s becoming an issue as my baby gets bigger With limited places to set the camera up and your wall mounts aren’t very good. I think oricom needs to get with the times I bit better for all the money spent I find it a waste to be honest.

The battery life Is shocking! It says it lasts 8 hours battery but doesn’t even last 2 hours!
Lullabies play from the Monitor rather than to the camera, that’s just pointless!

However, My biggest concern is the battery! Someone please contact me to replace or fix.

I had the sam issue before my monitor broke after only 4 weeks of being used. We had to have it plugged into the power so it wouldn’t run out through the night. My advice would be never to buy Oricom products. They are very poorly made.

I have the Secure895 and would like to wall mount the camera. I can see this has been advised in other responses from Oricom, but I’m unsure how this is to be done as the camera has no hook or thread as such. I can see there is a wallmounting bracket (https://oricom.com.au/product/wall-mounting-baby-monitor-bracket/), but cannot see how this would work for the camera.

Hi. I’ve recently purchased this monitor but am pretty unhappy. Firstly, I have set the VOX up to high, monitor on power saving mode and the manual says the monitor will turn back on when baby cry’s or makes a noise. This does not happen. My son is up the other end of our house and I hear him screaming through the walls and still nothing coming from the monitor. This is a highly frustrating having to leave the monitor on (not in power saving mode) all night in my room just so I can hear my son when he wakes. Secondly, the charger does not work properly. I have to fiddle around with the cord to get it in the right spot to actually charge. Very unhappy with this monitor at the moment. My sister has a few models before this one and has never had any trouble. So why does everyone seem to be having troubles with newer models? Waste of money as I can’t even use it properly.

Hi
I have the CU895 baby monitor with the additional camera. I have paired both cameras which work fine, however when i unplug the cable the cameras don’t work.

We had assumed that by pairing and having the antenna at the back the cameras would be portable.
Could you please advise if/how to do so?

Thanks

Lucy

Hi there, my oricom secure 720 monitor has exceptional image quality in the day but if the block out blinds are closed or it’s night the picture is so grainy. This model was given to me because the image was much worse on the previous hardware of the same model and it was and is still in warranty. Do you think there is a reason for this and could I please have direction as to what to do while the current lockdown is occurring. Thanks in advance any assistance is very much appreciated. My unit has problems charging. Does not charge while on which is annoying for over night as battery life doesn’t last that long.

I had to swap my chargers around as for some reason the unit charger won’t charge my device and have the use it in the camera.

Lullaby’s are annoying as you can barely hear them from camera but are super loud on unit! Also microphone is extremely delayed.. not impressed for how much the monitor costs

I have the VOX setting on high, however my daughter has been crying during the night and the monitor doesn't light up to alert us. Usually my sons camera (oricom 850) 2 rooms away from her room picks up on the sound and lights up. Is this a fault as the monitor is useless if it isnt going to tell me when my baby is awake and crying, especially since our home is so big and our her room is at the opposite end of the house.

Also the parent handset freezes a lot! I will try look at it and its showing a black screen. I try to hold down the off button to restart it, however that doesnt work and I need to pull the battery out to make it work.

I thought this would be a step up from the 850 but its much worse!! Not happy!

How do you adjust the volume of the lullabies coming from the camera unit? The sound is inaudible in the nursery but is extremely loud from the parents' unit.

Hi Nic, thanks for the message. No, the SC850 camera unit will not connect to the SC895 parent unit. The CU895 is the additional camera unit, as this model includes the Motion Detection. All the best, Oricom Baby Care.

From my understanding the vox setting is supposed to notify you of any noises in the room, for example coughing. I have turned mine on high sensitivity and turned the volume button on but when there was coughing all that happened was a red light flashed on the side and the only reason I knew my niece was coughing was because I was awake and could hear it though the wall, the noise didn’t come through the parent unit or alert me in any other way then a small red light (which only works on and off by the way) my brother has the oricom
720 and his alerts him by the screen turning on and the noise coming through the parent unit if there is movement or sound. This is the only reason we bought the monitor and it’s not going what was expected. Also does anyone else have problems with it being really zoomed in and having to set the camera up at the other end of the room just so you can get full view of the cot? We have it zoomed out as far as it can go and it’s set up on the other end of the room
Basically on the ceiling and this is the only was we can see the whole cot (and by whole cot I
Mean mostly just the mattress)

I just recently purchased this baby monitor and the camera won’t go very far to the right. It will go all the way left, up and down with no issues. I manually went in and moved it to see if there was any restrictions and it moved with ease and then it also started moving when used through the parent unit. Tried it again two hours later and it won’t go to the right again. Is anyone else having this issue?

Recently purchased this monitor but the lullaby function is so quite coming out of the camera that you have to really listen to hear it where as through the parent unit its very clear/loud. The lullabies are for my little one not me. Is this a fault with the camera or is there a way to turn it up in his room, not on the parent unit?

We also have the exact same issue, in fact I didn't realise any sound was coming out of the camera whatsoever, I thought the lullabies were just for the parent unit until I read your review.

Oricom - can you please respond to this as you have with all the other questions. I would like to know what what the lullabys expections should be.
