Very efficient microwave
Microwave works great and its small but will fit most plate size. I was just annoyed that the plastic on the open door button peeled a bit... Otherwise it is very pretty and modern looking. Fits well for my kitchen. I would recommend it to those with a small microwave space especially in Apartments.

Perfect
Perfect machine. The little time-knob is my favorite. I have used several microwaves the this is the easiest way to set up the time. The size is small but there is enough space for all the dishes that we need. And I have used for more than two years and there is no issue at all.

Value for money
A simple, well built microwave that's suitable for apartment living/small families (23 L model).
I can fit my large dinner plates easily, so as long as you're not reheating large casserole dishes, I don't see a reason to purchase a larger microwave.
Baring in mind I rarely use my microve for purposes of the than reheating or defrosting, I still wanted one from a reliable brand, and I find Panasonic to be just that.

Highly recommended
Our family use the microwave mamy times a day and this suits all our needs. This microwave deserves 5 stars for these reasons:
It looks great! Clean and simple and not covered with buttons detailing every kind of auto setting. (These settings are cleverly hidden in the door frame).
It cooks as it should. We find the bread setting very useful to defrost a few slices of bread without them going hard or soggy.
Easy to clean.
Not too big to take up masses of room on the shelf, but plenty big enough to reheat a large casserole.
Reasonably quiet and has a self cooling function.

Good little microwave
Works very well, and the little time-knob isn't difficult to use. The only downside is that steamy air from cooking doesn't seems to clear out that quickly. I just leave the door open for a while after cooking to prevent potential mould growth from the moisture and it's not an issue.

Hard to find such an elegant and quiet running Microwave
Very happy with this Panasonic NN-SD351MQPQ microwave. Nearly perfect. Very rare to find a microwave that does the job very well while being unobtrusive, and low noise. It's running comparatively quiet and doesn't beep as loud as others. The only wish is if it could adjust time by 5sec. Currently it only steps by 10sec. The dial is super easy to use though.

Perfect, I really love the dial
This microwave has the dial to choose the timing and it is easier to use than the traditional button. I have this microwave for a year now and it is still working perfectly.
Very quiet, reliable, good looking, the dial is so easy to adjust the timing that you will fall in love with.
Price is cheap compared to others.

Potential fire risk
I bought this microwave (Model NN-SD351M) just over 12 months ago and it was not used very much. One day, when the microwave was not in use, some components inside the unit suddenly burning and the smoke activated our smoke alarm. Very disappointed that such a well known brand only lasted just over 12 months. Advised Panasonic of the potential fire risk on 29/05/2016 through their website but to date have not heard anything back from them. As on 10/07/2016, have not heard or been contacted by Panasonic - not even a courtesy call from Panasoic to check details.

Simplest and best I have owned to date. Bought two!
These units are sleek, attractive and very easy to use. Easy to clean.
The dial is 'da bomb'. My kids love it. The ten second increments would rarely catch you out. If you needed something in there for less than that, just watch it!!
The power and efficiency is brilliant.
I have two of these and the doors on both require a little slam to shut as the catch seems stiff when closing. The microwave is quite light so if you try to quietly 'push latch' the door, you inadvertently shave the whole unit.
Other than that I cannot fault these units. Would recommend highly.

Great microwave!!
You'd think buying a microwave would be a pretty simple process but it is far from the truth. My process would usually start by looking at what options I have to choose from at my local retailer, then going online and looking for any reviews I could get my hands on. This microwave had the best reviews by far and so far it has lived up to them. Super quiet, does not get hot to touch like so many others apparently do and is a decent size. We have fairly large dinner plates and this microwave fits them with a little amount of room on both sides. I...Read more
would never go smaller than this size, but so far having anything bigger would seem like a waste. The only reason for a star lost in the ratings is that you can not set the microwave time to end in anything other than 10's. So if you want to cook your food for 35sec, it will have to be set to 40sec. Not a big deal really, just be aware.... I'll update after a few moths of owning it if my opinion changes.Similar opinion? Best microwave oven I have owned
I purchased this microwave at the beginning of April 2015 after returning two Breville quick touch ovens and another BigW branded microwave that all were, in my opinion very noisey. Also the housing and cavity heated up way too hot for my liking and the interior cavity filled with excessive steam when cooking potatoes and other vegetables. The Panasonic doesn't not do this. I find the power of the Panasonic to be hotter even though less wattage. It is very easy to operate. The turn dial and buttons are very user friendly. A more extensive numb...Read more
er menu is printed inside the door for reference of cooking and defrosting etc. The cooling down afterwards I find to be great, it removes any condensation and heat from inside the cavity. The oven can also be used whilst this cooling down is on there is no delay or waiting needed. The cavity size is large enough to fit dinner plates, casseroles etc. I would repurchase this microwave again.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good value and simple to use
Have had this for a month or so now and I'm very happy with it.
The dial was the selling point for me as it makes it so easy to use (my four year old can operate it).
Mainly using it for reheating and steaming vegies so I'm only using the timer and not worrying about the weights or power level too much. Very quiet, even on the cool down phase which I was glad to see can be interrupted by just opening the door.
Quiet, dial makes it very easy to set timer.
None so far

Good value compact microwave oven
I purchased this microwave oven eight months ago, after our last one died. I was looking for a good, compact microwave oven with enough power that was good value for money. I chose this one since Panasonic has a good reputation for its microwave ovens and this Panasonic unit has not skipped a beat. Very reliable and easy to use. The cavity inside is large enough to accept large dinner plates or casserole dishes (quite surprising for a 23L microwave). It also has more power than similar sized microwaves and inverter function. The only thing I mi...Read more
ss is a 'quick start' button, which I had on my old microwave, but it's not a huge deal. Reliable, best bang for buck for this size microwave, inverter function, decent power, compact size No 'quick start' buttonSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Excellent value
Great little microwave for a small kitchen..thoroughly recommend it..although only had for 3 months and so far not a problem, easy to use, not too noisy with lots of options. It looks clean and good design, like the knob to adjust weight and time for microwave. Economical power wise at 950 watts as we are on solar..fantastic!
Small fits under bench but ample room inside for dinner plate, easy to use, timer not too noisy, fan cools but as have under bench top thats a plus!
The gram weight increments are a bit restricting but you can always manually adjust power/weight/time yourself

My pet hate is microwaves which keep beeping even after you've opened the door. Does this model do that, or does the beeping stop when you open the door? thanks
4 answers
I don't believe that microwave beeps at all after the initial beeping once finished cooking. The door can stay opened or closed and it won't beep.
@Neil, I'm talking about the initial 5 beeps when it's finished cooking. Some microwaves will beep 5 times, even if you open the door on the first beep - that's my pet hate. If you've opened the door, you're aware that it's finished and you don't need the remaining beeps!
No . From memory the beep stops after the door is opened. I no longer have the microwave as it's been thrown out .

Is this the stainless steel version? If so is the steel 306 or 316?
1 answer
Yes it is. I couldnt tell you whether it is 306 or 316. I would imagine most appliances are made out of 304 due to the disposable world we live in.
I havent had any corrosion issues (live two blocks from beach) and it is easy to clean.
