To whom it may concern,
Just to let people know . The Blue 3M Tape will pull off the parador quarter rounds top layer . I paint for a living . It was left on, under the recommended time . I had to replace over 28 lengths . No one will take any responsibility ( The Paint Supplier who supplied the Blue 3M Tape . Or the Parador Flooring Supplier ) . I've stopped using the Blue 3M Tape . I wouldn't recommend Parador products, to anyone . Due to its failing on the job site . Not Happy .

Unfortunately the Parador flooring supplier is usually a Carpet Call or Solomon franchisee and they rely on the support of the distributor, which is Carpet Call. They seem to turn down warranty claims and then the onus is on the Mum and Dad franchisee to remedy the situation, or push back on the consumer themselves.

Maybe stay away from anything that requires Carpet Call's after sales support.

Does it scratch with dogs and kids or not like the sellers reckon?

No it doesn't scratch easily, however the German manufacturer and Australian distributor did not honour a warranty claim so don't let that be a factor in your decision.

I have had Parador flooring in my home for 17 years. The only reason I have not replaced it is because of the cost factor. It can be chipped, gouged, scraped, and marked fairly easily. It was definitely not ever the industrial strength durable flooring we were led to believe when we bought it. We wanted flooring that our disabled son could easily move his wheelchair on, but the tyres do leave track marks. Leave a bit of moisture on the floor for any time at all, and the seams swell. If you over water a pot plant or have a pissy pet, the seams swell. If you drop something on the floor, it chips the color top layer. While you can put similar colored wax into the chip, it is always there. Move your chairs over the floor and you will see scrape marks. They never come off. Forget that beautiful shiny surface after first lay. Eventually you just get used to it being dull and scraped. Admittedly, people who come to our home don't see it quite the way we do, even though they can see the problems when we point them out. If you cast a general eye over the span of it (and we have a lot of it), it looks fair, still. But if we were to sell our house tomorrow, you can bet that any buyer would be saying that floor needs to be replaced. As well, it is extremely hard to try to replace the boards individually. While the laminate chips and mars fairly easily, if you try to cut the boards to remove one it is like diamond and is a hell of a job to cut through. If I had a my choice again I would never buy laminate of any kind, and we thought we did our research, back then. As well, after telling us to have our house built with the skirting boards raised to accommodate the laminate underneath, the layers still put a bull nosed trim over the edges, beside our raised skirting boards, which was just plain plastic covered mdf and quickly peeled and split Thinking of pulling it all up and just sealing the concrete, now. Just had to wait long enough for that to be in fashion...
