Cooker

Cookerasked

Terrible rice cooker, you need to use two cups of rice which is too much.
I bought this to replace my rice cooker and gain a slow and pressure cooker. Rice cooker function doesn't work for me. I tried white rice first-cooker sits in " heating" for over 30 minutes and doesn't progress to the "start pressure" setting. The problem is, that if I wasn't standing there, the machine would keep heating and heating without switching off as the timing doesn't kick in until the cooker switches over to "start pressure".
I'm thinking oh no, I've bought a lemon! This isn't going to replace my 20 dollar rice cooker and I certainly don't want two appliances. I called but the operator kept saying "just give it a go". He followed up twice but busy mum I didn't have the time to. I'm trying again, this time brown rice, pressure cooker setting, hot water. Same settings and again it sits there heating. If I move to the manual mode and select 20 minutes, I seem to be able to get it to pressurise. WHY???
