Just got it
Days in and first electric toothbrush in a while. Good looking set/up, the glass charger is a winner even if the cord is not adjustable which Philips should really think about.

Best toothbrush
Gives the best clean, no doubt. Worth the investment. But remember to keep your receipt as mine broke down just short of 2 year manifacurer's warranty & had it replaced! No other problem! Very happy with it

Fantastic toothbrush, very poor durability
Paid over 300 dollars to have the handle fail after warranty expired, became too weak to be effective. I miss it terribly but can't justify 300 on a toothbrush every second year . I was told by the retailer this is a common fault and you can't fix it.

We just keep on buying Phillips electric toothbrushes
Approximately 15 years ago, we got our first Philips electric toothbrush and now we wouldn't switch. All models have met our requirements with great dental reviews but with each new model, the features just get better. As we travel a lot, we are very pleased with the new travel case. Thanks Philips.

Battery defective within 5 mths of purchasing
Bought this at a retailer for a high price. Battery was no good by the end of 5 months and it is too weak to use.
Unable to use it now only been about a year. Very disappointed for the price I paid.
I don't even know if this gets covered by warranty - it seems too much of a hassle having to argue the point.
Plz let me know if I can get it replaced.

Awesome toothbrush
I have used a Braun OralB toothbrush for many years but decided to try the Philips because if its better travel case/charger and the lithium ion battery. Both the case and the battery failed on my last Braun after only a few months. I'm really happy with the Philips so far. Love the ultrasonic cleaning action, it makes your teeth and gums feel very clean and healthy without the harsh scrubbing feel that I got from the oscillating action on the OralB.

Pretty good
I've had this electric toothbrush for a month or so now and it definitely leaves the tooth surfaces and gums feeling clean, however it doesn't seem to necessarily remove food particles in between my teeth. I have a few areas that tend to trap some food at the back of my mouth. I've used other electronic brushes in the past, mostly by OralB. Can't categorically say this is better or worse than them. However it does offer more functionality through the various modes.
Leaves teeth feeling clean and promotes overall gum health. The varied brushing ...Read more

Feels like I've just had a professional clean
I just ditched my Oral-B toothbrush due to the poor battery life. A friend suggested I buy the Diamond Clean by Philips Sonicare. I've been using it for over a month now and it seriously feels like I have had a professional clean every time I use it. Best of all the battery life lasts for 3 weeks so I don't need to charge it every single night like my old Oral-b brush.
It also come with a cool travel case that I can charge via usb. But my favourite part if the elegan charging glass and the brush handle - they look very nice on my vanity.

Cleans your teeth like diamonds
After getting about a decade of use out of our previous electric brush (an Oral-b), I decided this time around to try the top of the line option from Philips, the Sonicare DiamondClean.
The main thing that impressed, was the overall design - including the compact travel charger case which gives the brush a charging point plus a convenient home away from home if taking it along on vacation. The home charger is a slender metal base which has a square type glass that sits on top. To charge the brush all you have to do is put the brush into the...Read more
glass. It's conductive charging just like all the other options out there, but designed in nicer way. I found the charging base on the Oral-b to be far more diffucult to clean as you had to take the whole base away from the power point. With the Philips you simple lift the glass off the base and simply rinse it out. The brush never makes contact with the metal charging base so shouldn't get gummed up unless you leave the glass grubby on the outside. A negative in that sense is that if you break the glass, there's no more charging of the brush unless you find something else to hold it over the base. There's always the travel case to fall back on I suppose. Now does it clean any better than an Oral-B? .. that's difficult to answer. Yes it's better than my old brush, but then again it was also quite old. I'd image both top of the range offerings from Oral-B and Philips to be much the same in terms of performance. Your teeth may not sparkle like diamonds, but they're certainly in for a good clean if you follow the instructions. The brush on the SoniCare is a nicer shape in my opinion and the amount of vibration you get from the device is quite astonishing whilst the overall sound is nice and quiet. There are a multitude of programs the brush can muster, but I must say that the lack of a "mode" button to switch between the different cycles is frustrating. All functions are incorporated into the power button so if you want to turn the brush on/off for a minute you find yourself cycling through the modes instead. Sure you get a nice package but you also pay a premium for it. This is easily the most expensive option out there and the Oral-b options look more appealing from a cost perspective. We got it whilst on sale so managed to not pay full retail. Overall, a good package, a point lost for the price angle and the mode feature. Design and performance Price, single on/off/mode button.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I bought a DiamondClean (white) from Shavershop just last Wed, it was good for first few days, however, I don't know why it is too noisy. Basically, it comes with two brush heads (1 mini and 1 standard), I use the standard one and my girlfriend uses the mini one. :) With the standard one, It makes a noisy sound (in any type of brushing modes) like my 5 years old OralB Braun, which I cannot stand for that sound. But it is totally fine when I try with the mini brush head. I don't know if I should take it back to Shavershop to ask or contact Philips. Thanks!

Hi Michael – actually, I was not aware they were two head sizes. I have only just discovered this now having looked at the Philips website. It seems I was supplied with standard brushes. The salespeople did not make me were of different sizes being available. However, to get back to your question. I have not encountered any difficulties at all, particularly with sound in using the brushes that I've got. Thus, I cannot really make an observation based on your description. I had an oral B, in fact several of them, over the years. There is definitely a difference in sound between my old Oral B and the new DiamondClean. However that is no surprise as the DiamondClean cleans at a much higher head speed then does the Oral B and therefore I was fully expecting it to be somewhat more noisy. However, I don't really notice a lot of difference in the noise, such that it is distracting to me. Insofar as I'm unable to offer you any satisfactory observation on my own experience, apart from saying I am completely happy with the product, I suggest you would be best served by speaking directly to Philips customer service and asking their advice. The toothbrush is obviously just you and therefore captured by the warranty, should a claim be required. I even believe they have a 30 day refund if you are not satisfied with the product. Sorry to not have been of more assistance, but I do think you are best off speaking directly to Phillips.
