Great cleaning, poor reliability....
We bought this product a roughly a year and a half ago... The cleaning is excellent, it's a pleasure to use and the glass charger is a great design... When it works...
After around 8 months (it's not a clean break) toothbrush start losing power and speed, cleaning less efficiently and making strange noise..
I asked for a replacement (done very quickly by the support team)… Unfortunately, since 3 months, we experiment exactly the same behavior…

Expensive and not worth the cost
The toothbrush is well built and looks great. It has beautiful packaging and the charger is also the best in market. It has a unique action and sound, however I am not convinced it's any better than much cheaper rivals. In fact I feel my older cheaper standard electric gave a cleaner mouth feel. I think the brush is surrounded by a bit of hype, fear of not having the whitest teeth (some people have) and alot of marketing with which I think is why it's so expensive. I actually bought it for my wife who did not want it after one use, so I now use...Read more
it. She has reverted to regular manual brushing which is likely a sensible option for results and cost. There are options for the speed it vibrates at which promise "clean", "white", "polish", "sensitive". These are really just different speeds from what I can work out from how it feels. I would not buy the brush again but rather a cheaper standard electric for myself again. In short, it's too expensive and hyped for my liking although looks good, solid build and well ergonomically designed.

Why so much tartar in the reviews? It's great!
My teeth are crooked and I thought I knew what I was doing with an expensive toothbrush but my dentist was still not happy so I finally bit the bullet and bought this model. It's been over a year now and to date I have absolutely no problems.
Not only has this reached places I couldn't manually but the settings are quick to manage and the 2 minute timer shuts off when it's time to finish.
Cleaning the brush is perfect and the chargers are unique and stylish.
To date there has been absolutely no issues and yes the brush heads are expensi...Read more

i have had my white sonic diamond for ten months
it became very noisy and inefficient,it developed brush moment, i disassembled and found a small philips screw and collar in the end that had loosened. Each time i tighten it and even locktite it,it works great for a few days and it is loose again. Is this a known problem?Should I expect more than 10 months operation from such an expensive toothbrush? Can I replace those parts?can I buy just the handpiece by it self?I am reluctant to buy another if same happens again.

One of Philips' brilliant ideas
My dentist recommended this product.
Having used it, I couldn't imagine using a hand brush or the old electric toothbrush ever again.
The Sonicare should be also recommended for child use who lack the manual dexterity for the old toothbrush.

Fantastc Clean
I have had this toothbrush for a month now and still can't get over how clean my teeth feel. I have had an electronic toothbrush for years (rotating head one) and always considered my teeth to be clean, but this new toothbrush is something else. The vibrating took a little getting used to, but the toothbrush actually works you up to the normal vibration cycle gradually over a couple of weeks. It has multiple different cycles and I will admit that I enjoy the process so much that I tend to do two cycles each time I clean. This is a great toothbrush, highly recommended!

Fantastic! When it works....
Bought three of these, one each for everyone in the family. Everyone else's has worked fine but mine stopped working just after two year warranty ran out. It started turning itself on in the middle of the night, even when power was off! Woke me up! And then it just stopped charging. Contacted Philips by email but never got a response. Never used the travel charger so would have loved to have just had to buy a replacement handle rather than a whole new product but cannot see how to do this and Philips didn't respond to my question! Have bought a new one and hopefully this one will perform better like the rest of the family's.

Zen for your teeth
Brilliant. That describes how teeth feel, but also the design of the DiamondClean.
Zen? well I wasn't sure how to describe the fact that teeth feel pampered in a massagey, yoga-ish, enlightening way.... yeah weird I know, but once you have stuck this baby in your mouth (and followed the instructions - in other words, don't scrub and get the angle right)... let it do it's work while your mind wanders off to contemplate whatever it is you like to contemplate....
I charged it 24 hours (as per instructions) on the day I got it and now, almost 4 ...Read more

Ticks all the boxes
This is seriously the best tooth brushing experience I've ever had. I got a white one and quite like the sleek look of it, especially in the charging glass. The whole charging glass idea is very clever - it's an actual heavy glass that sits on top of the charger so it doesn't move around at all. The glass can also be used to rinse after brushing. The brush itself has various settings, so I am using it on whitening in preparation for a wedding next month. I am using the larger of the two heads in the pack as I have a lot of big teeth. I can see...Read more
an improvement already after a week and a few days of use. My teeth are whiter and feel clean all day, plus it's gentle on my sensitive gums and my breath is fresher for longer. Bliss for me, my last 'soft-bristled' manual toothrush was still too hard. The DiamondClean is perfect. There's an automatic 2 minute timer and it buzzes every 30 seconds, which is the recommended amount of time to spend brushing each quadrant. I can in all seriousness say that I love everything about this electric toothbrush. It also comes with a hard, silver travel case and a usb charger - so I'll easily take it with me on our wedding trip. They've thought of everything. I've been raving about this product at my place and have recommended it to family. Well done, Philips.1 comment

Good but not water resistant
I bought 2 units of this. one is more than 2 years old already and is still running perfectly. The other stopped working just after 2 years. since it was out of warranty I tried to open it and see why it won't charge or won't operate. I found several components have rust on it already. So am not sure if this model is water resistant to running water or not. At least 1 out of 2 is still working perfectly.

Best clean feeling ever.
I suffer from hereditary gum issues so researched online what toothbrush would be the best. I discovered that the Sonicare Diamond Clean has a great reputation so decided to give it a try. I love it. My teeth feel so clean and my dentist at the last checkup was very happy with my gums etc. I have recommended it to friends who are now experiencing the same thing. I prefer the small head to clean each tooth but both are great. Excellent product.

Excellent, top rate cleaning. Perfect if you use it correctly (don't brush like a regular toothbrush etc). I have a crowded mouth so the smaller brush heads work perfectly for me.

Diamond Clean is the best toothbrush you can get, much better than the braun oral b.
The braun oral b is much harder on your teeth, but still cleans well.
The Diamod Clean is softer and cleans better.
Highly recommended.

Questions & Answers
Michaelasked
I bought a DiamondClean (white) from Shavershop just last Wed, it was good for first few days, however, I don't know why it is too noisy. Basically, it comes with two brush heads (1 mini and 1 standard), I use the standard one and my girlfriend uses the mini one. :) With the standard one, It makes a noisy sound (in any type of brushing modes) like my 5 years old OralB Braun, which I cannot stand for that sound. But it is totally fine when I try with the mini brush head. I don't know if I should take it back to Shavershop to ask or contact Philips. Thanks!

Hi Michael – actually, I was not aware they were two head sizes. I have only just discovered this now having looked at the Philips website. It seems I was supplied with standard brushes. The salespeople did not make me were of different sizes being available. However, to get back to your question. I have not encountered any difficulties at all, particularly with sound in using the brushes that I've got. Thus, I cannot really make an observation based on your description. I had an oral B, in fact several of them, over the years. There is definitely a difference in sound between my old Oral B and the new DiamondClean. However that is no surprise as the DiamondClean cleans at a much higher head speed then does the Oral B and therefore I was fully expecting it to be somewhat more noisy. However, I don't really notice a lot of difference in the noise, such that it is distracting to me. Insofar as I'm unable to offer you any satisfactory observation on my own experience, apart from saying I am completely happy with the product, I suggest you would be best served by speaking directly to Philips customer service and asking their advice. The toothbrush is obviously just you and therefore captured by the warranty, should a claim be required. I even believe they have a 30 day refund if you are not satisfied with the product. Sorry to not have been of more assistance, but I do think you are best off speaking directly to Phillips.
