quick, yummy food

published

my wife bought this to make some fried chips and chicken wings, so we did. easy to operate, foods are perfect, however i hate it, because it is hard to clean, especially those metal mesh, i need to soap them for hours, and brush them carefully. really hope they could upgrade to something rather than mesh but the hot air could vent well too.

Good value for the price point

published

Compared to other airfryers, it is smaller which might mean more convenience for those with less room in their kitchens. Other than that, it works pretty much identical to higher end models with regards to cooking or reheating food. Its easy to clean for the most part, although some may have difficulties with cleaning the grill section. Make sure you have correct cleaning tools and clean when finished.

great Air fryer

published

I was skeptical at first whether an air fryer would work but they do, they work great. I have been air frying most things now. the chips turn out super crispy, hash browns are great. chicken chippies are amazing and even fish fingers turn out superb.

all up I'm very happy with the purchase.

One of my daily needs

published

I absolutely love this machine. It makes cooking whole lot easier. All I have to do is chuck the food inside and go about doing my stuff and the timer goes off once it's done. Besides that, all the oil is sucked away from the food which ends up being a healthy food intake.

Great

We haven't used this to do anything fancy, but it works well for cooking chips, heating meatballs, chicken nuggets, spring rolls, fish, etc. The capacity isn't huge, so we usually use it for snack food rather than cooking for the whole family (can't be bothered cooking batch after batch of things). We just wash everything in the dishwasher afterwards, which makes cleanup easy. Had it for 2 years without any issues & would recommend to others.

Since I found this product it has been put to work almost everynight and works for many many years. I cook chips, spring roll, pies and even use it for reheating left overs. This is definitely a must have for any household and thus I've gifted it to family members!

I priced and looked around for a long time before committing on an airfryer. My neighbour had this one so that sealed the deal.

I wish I had bought it long ago. It cooks so much more than I realised and I find we use it cook over 50% of our meals. I only wish I had two now!

Excellent!!

published

I love this product!! Perfect for single people. I brought it because I'm renting and smoke alarm is too close to the oven which made it impossible to cook as it set off the alarm almost every single time I put a roast in. Can now cook a small roast in this with no issues in about an hour. Perfect for cooking crispy chips. Cooking times depend on size of food you put in there - bigger the roast, longer cooking time but I've had frozen meals (crumbed chicken Kiev and chips) ready in half an hour. Also reasonably easy to clean, I put alfoil on the bottom draw under the mesh bit to catch the oil which can sometimes help with the cleaning but otherwise, easy maintenance.

Best benchtop appliance we bought

Compact simple design. This product does what it promises very very well. It fries grills bakes and cooks so well. Chicken is browned crisp and yet tender. Speed is great too. Superfast. No oil makes it a true diet machine and oils collect under and washing is easy. Even Phillips understate it. Fries ...store frozen or hommade are crisp but fluffy and nothing like oven baked. Minimal oil is needed. This is a must have. Its quiet cool and even looks ok

Even store frozen fries are awesome. Grilled chicken is perfect and cleaning is easy.

Fabulous Product - Difficult to clean

published

We love our Phillips Airfryer, and would use it at least three or four times a week. We just love chicken wings coated in season all or lemon juice and garlic give the best result. As good as the product is, cleaning the basket is a nightmare and the Teflon coating on the pan has flaked off. Other than that, we highly recommend it!

Change of opinion

published

Wrote before that I was disappointed. Have changed my opinion now that I have given it quite a few goes. Makes the best frozen chips. Used it for roast lamb and roast potatoes. Pre-boiled the spuds, let them cool off and then brushed them with a little oil. Turned out as good as the normal oven and less cooking time. Find the AirFryer very easy to clean. Mainly wipe with paper towel. Taking mine travelling so will let you know how it goes.

Pleasant Surprise

published

I won my airfryer in a competition and the first reaction of my family was to encourage me to sell it on ebay. I insisted I wanted to try it as I did not know what a airfryer was. I am so pleased I did as we are now eating french fries from fresh potatoes made from only one table spoon of olive oil. The favourite and so healthy. And it can go into the dishwasher for convenience! Go and get it!

Hi Rana, that's an interesting question. Both models are offered in Australia, so it's safe to say that it's not designed for the USA only. As for the effects on the electricity: we just asked our specialists to look into it and tell us if there are any. You'll be the first to know as soon as we know more.

Hi there,
I am not sure, however it may be the size and wattage of the element maybe?

Thanks for your reply! I actually looked it up online after i posted the question, and found that the end numbers are the same model but different colours. I bought the 66 which is red and black.

Hi there,

Sorry that we weren't able to reply to you sooner, but we are glad that you found it out yourself already. :) The colours are indeed the only difference.
