Not very convenient. They take 2 business days to sign you up.
They make it seem quick and easy to get started, but it takes 2 days to get approved to plan in advance

horrible company
cars not serviced and i'm certin the the polo was defective. Customer service was slow and the person on the phone was very very rude. car was really dirty never using this service again

Poor service
Customer service: Friendly but very slow to reply. I had to keep emailing for an update on my application.
I applied with all my personal details after reading about their service. Eventually I was declined via email despite my request for a call back for an update on the application, saying reason was I reside outside of their recommended distance to their vehicles. Could’ve saved me time and energy and not given my personal information if you stated in your previous-application process.

Competitive rates and better cars than competitors
Available in Sydney, Melbourne, Byron Bay and Canberra. It offers the most competitive rate than other car sharing companies, especially cost-effective if you are on business plan (subscription fees are waived and you get the cheapest rate). Now they also waive the joining fee for new customers which is great. And a recommendation for a new user would offer you $50 credit. In April 2022 (which is now over), you could purchase $264 credit for only $130 which is almost half price - could not find better quote elsewhere.

Read moreby your phone bluetooth on the app but also via the membership card provided (which will be mailed to you) However the customer service is a bit slow to be honest - during the day maybe okay (still 5-10mins waiting sometimes if you are in hurry) but if any issues encountered during the night, well, good luck. Taking toll ways a few times but they never emailed me nor issued me extra charge, for which I find it a bit weird. All fleets are new and regularly under maintenance, better than Goget.- Value for Money

Very poor service
Avoid is the word. Service is Horrible. The website claims applications will take one business day to process. Still waiting since 15 days for a simple license validation, even after providing all details in app. Customer service horrible with no response on multiple follow up calls. Would not recommend Popcar or even signing up to it. False claims, avoid wasting your precious time. Better to choose another rental car hires where service is guaranteed even if at little extra $

Great car-sharing company with a decent fleet of cars
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the cars from Popcar. The prices are much better than other rival companies (for instance, GoGet), and I find the app very intuitive and easy to use. I live in Preston (VIC), which is very well serviced by Popcar. Nothing less than FIVE stars! Thanks, guys

Scam!
Signed up while on holiday on the recommendation of a local. Received a call from a rep an hour later to inform us they didn’t have any cars in the area and would refund the charge. Took 3 phone calls to get it refunded. Since, we have been charged the monthly fee every month, 5 months straight. Each month we call to complain and are given a new excuse and told it won’t happen again. Most recently by the customer service manager. We’ve again been charged this month. Nightmare!!

Incredibly poor and confused service
No one calls back. Feedback left after each trip is ignored. Previous drivers drop the car anywhere. Tracking of cars works on some cars only so you have to guess where it might be. Call them and they are too busy to assist. They promise to fix the issue but actually ignore it. Often left with the fuel with the red light on. Pretty hopeless. Canceled my account today.

Terrible service. Privacy concerns
They declined clients and provide no reason when the person meets eligibility. They have a very good promo at the moment which I suspect has been very successful which is why they are declining new clients. Don't return calls and provide generic, templated responses

Bad customer service
I’ve been try to sign in this app, since 21oct and they just sent me back an email that my application have fail without any explanation of reason why. Except said “ not meet our internal criteria “ since then An email said will refund my membership fee in 2-3 business days
Now have been 14 business days and more than 6 phone call I have to make and ask what is going on.
Answer is in our system in pending. We can’t do anything you just have to wait.
$10 is not much but how many people will face this same situation at me.
And how many people will forget about this because is very easily to forget I’m not big money.

3 weeks and no memberpack arrived!
It has been almost 3 weeks but no member pack arrived! Emailed again and again but no follow ups. I really wanted to try out popcar but quite disappointed from the kind of system they have that could have been avoided.Goget has pick up points so once you are a member you can simply pick up from range of near by retailers who will give you the member pack. It took 1 day

There's no way to estimate the minimum spend for a reservation from the website.
The website is fairly rudimentary.
An important feature that GoGet has is what the minimum cost for the reservation will be. That is a very simple calculation for the website but a pain in the neck if you have to do the calculation yourself. You have to guess what the charge will be or call them and spend about 5 minutes on the phone for someone to calculate it for you. To me this is obfuscation on purpose. I.e. they are hiding the cost so that you don't know how much the reservation is.
The service is as expensive as GoGet, but GoGet has a much better booking system.

Amazing, can't go past this car sharing service
I recently became a member of Popcar from using another car sharing service, GoGet. The difference is quite substantial. Cars are so much cleaner and have the latest models, overall a great customer service experience. Highly recommend Popcar.
