Not for me
Months of hot flushes and night sweats makes you a little desperate at times!!! (up to 50 per day!) I am using progesterone cream (5 weeks) with little response so was keen to try Remifemin. After the first day I had awful dizziness (almost fell over!) and mild pain in my uterus....didn't think it could be this medication but I stopped taking them after one week and the dizziness and pain stopped!!! Bit of a scarey response!
I then had the first uninterrupted sleep for months!
Just be careful with taking medications, even OTC ones can be potent. Unfortunately it hasn't worked for me. Good luck to others though.
nothing
dizziness/vertigo, uterine pain

Amazing product!! Would highly recommend .
After suffering for months with hot flushes, mood swings etc.
I was recommended Remifemin by my doctor as I couldn't go on HRT,due to history of breast cancer in my family. I've never looked back! highly recommend Remifemin ... It's amazing! No more flushes, no more feeling bloated. I feel normal again!
Easy to swallow.
A little expensive, but worth it.

Menopause started only a few months ago and a friend had mentioned going to her acupuncturist as she had great results fast. Tried it for 4 weeks plus with a chinese herbal medication.
Wasn't doing a good enough job for me so visited my chemist, Remifemin was one that was suggest as the sales assis. had great result as well as her customers.
Been taking 2 a day as suggested with noticed improvement...after a few days i up dose to 4 a day 95% better...what a relief! Hot flush's have almost gone and night sweats have lessened and actual...Read more

Life Saver
I took this for 2 1/2 weeks before getting any signs of helping, but now, I am amazed! I have been suffering from Post Traumatic Stress, made worse by being perimenopausal and my anxiety and PMS was off the charts! I decided to give this a go after being prescribed Valium, which I took one and promptly stopped. Now I am an advocate! This cycle I got my period and was surprised as I didn't have any PMS symptoms at all, and believe me, I was a witch! My anxiety has all but gone, thank God! I felt like I was going crazy.....I don't usually go on a...Read more

My doc said to try it..
I am 51 yrs old, healthy and never had any major surgeries, two natural births, and on the contraceptive pill most of my life. What they say about you look at your mum and you'll be similar in menopause, is wrong. My mum had no symptoms. I've had very bad case of menopause, literary was a mess, severe is what I'm talking about here. Extremely itchy hot flushes which drained the energy right out of me, was having a few every hour! Mood swings were unbearable to the point I didn't want to see or talk to anyone including my family. Just wanted to ...Read more
sit in my room and was very down..would want to cry for no apparent reason. Anxiety and panic attacks as well. Headaches, sleeplessness etc had the total works. After seeing a guru gynaecologist in Sydney who specialises in menopause, he recommended i take a double dose of Remifemin for at least 4 weeks, otherwise i was going to have to get on HRT...which by the way he said isnt bad if you are under 60 and not taking it for more than 5 yrs. Still, i didnt want to go down that path if i could avoid it. i stayed on the Remi for a month, and can honestly say that I am feeling so much better. What a relief, i almost feel normal again. It does work BUT you need to be on it for a least 4 - 6 weeks. If you are severe like me you need to take TWICE the dose eg. 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. I still get an occasional mild hot flush but nothing like before..I have my life back. What I do find though is I can't take it on an empty stomach as it upsets it, so I take it with a bit of food like fruit. Hope this helps other women like me who think they are going crazy, best of luck Helen It really helped me Upsets my stomach if I don't have it with food2 comments

e 280mgs each tablet. I started taking 2 in the morning & 2 in the evening but after reading Remifemin's facebook page I'm a bit worried as they talk about a dosage of 2 tabs a day (one in morning & one in evening) of 40mgs or 4 tabs a day (2 in morning & 2 in evening) of 80mgs.....I'm assuming it is an American facebook page. Bit concerned that I am OD'ing on the tablets...Thanks Bab...Just stared using Remi, 4 a day for the last five days. I am thankful that I am not the only woman who has found herself crying for no apparent reason,

Works for me
I started with hot flushes and feeling sick, I tried these after a little research. I took 2 3 times a day for first 2 days then 2 twice a day, within a few days no more flushes. It has been 2 months and I have tried going to 1 twice a day and could feel them returning. I am still on 2 twice a day, but feel good. Definitely worth a try, made a huge difference for me.
Worked great
Need to keep taking or symptoms quickly return

2 weeks and it is not working - help!
My GP told that me she had used remifemin on advice from her oncologist & found it great. She said to take 1 x 3 times a day & if there wasn't any improvement after 2 weeks go to 2 x 3 times a day.
It has now been 2 weeks and the sweat is pouring off me - its embarrassing because it drips! I seem to be sleeping worse, throwing the covers off because I am hot then waking up cold - this goes on all night. Also, I am constantly dreaming & they are stressful dreams - which is strange as my life is not stressful at all.
Today I am increasing as she suggested.
Cheap

Working now!!! 2x3 times a day. But I often forget one dose as it is not such a problem now.
That was quite a while ago so I thought I should do an update nearly 12 months later. I can't believe I wrote the second comment but I suppose it must have worked for a while! For me it was very short... Read more
lived and I continually upped the dose, terrified of it getting worse if I stopped. When it got to the stage of being really embarrassing as the sweat dripped off me and people kept asking me if I was ok, I went back to my doctor. She was reluctant to put me on HRT but when I had a flash/flush in front of her she changed her mind! I have now been on the lowest HRT you can get for three months and they have settled to the point of only feeling a little warm now and then. Even though they didn't work for me I still believe they are worth a try before moving on to HRTSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

They have but all gone and are not as severe as they were. i encourage women to try this product - you can only move on to something else if it doesnt work. This is the first product i have tried - so far so good.
At least it is natural.

A big help
I have been taking this tablet for a couple of years now. Before I found them I was having terrible hot flushes / sweats. These settled down during the day but I found that I was still waking at night with hot flushes. I began taking the night versions of this product and my flushes have all but gone. Definitely not an issue anymore.
Reliable, easy to take.
When paired with the night version of this tablet I have almost stopped getting the hot flushes.

Excellent
Remifemin took about 2 - 4 weeks to work. No hot flushes, No night sweats, No vagueness, No crawly skin, No anxiety... All my symptoms have basically disappeared with them occassionally appearing. I cut back to 1 tablet and used another vitamin brand with black cohosh in it and my symptoms returned. So my body needs 2 x 1 tablet morning and night. What's important in this brand is the black cohosh and the way its extracted and the parts of the black cohosh they use. I will never go off it. It has given me my life back.
No hot flushes, No night sweats, No vagueness, No crawly skin, No anxiety... only a little depression and low libido which I had before using.
Even the price is ok - my health is everything.

Good
My doctor recommended I use Remifemin Menopause Symptom Relief because I was having hot flushes, dizziness and moods swings. She said it was the only product which had been scientifically tested and which other patients had said provided relief. I have been using it and found it has helped reduce the frequency of the hot flushes, especially the night ones and with the mood swings. I have found Remifemin to be reasonably priced which is important because it takes about 6 weeks before it works. Other products are more expensive and haven't provided me with any relief.
Easy to take and reasonably priced
it takes about 5/6 weeks before you feel effect

My menopause symptoms came on very suddenly - especially the hot flushes and the sleeplessness. I took Remifemin and had no difference for 6 weeks but suddenly noticed that the symptoms had all but gone. I am now sleeping all night, and the flushes are almost non existent. Strange but true - I am taking two tablets morning and night and will be trying to reduce to one morning and night over the next week. Am very, very happy that my sister recommended them to me
inexpensive and effective

Brought a sense of balance back into my life
I started having a few hot flushes and thought what's all the fuss about, menopause is a breeze! After a month I experienced constant hot flushes and mood swings and thought I would do ANYTHING for some relief. I didn't want to take HRT with all the negative side affects and wanted something natural.I feel sorry for all you ladies who have had to wait so long for it to take effect. I found great relief after just 3 days! I now take 2 tablets a day.
For me it worked quickly, the side affects are that I feel like a normal human being again and I think it is priced very well.
It isn't advertised enough. It needs more exposure so it becomes the first thing meopausal women think of when considering products that give relief!

Works for me!
I have never done a review before but I felt compelled to write about the results I have had using Remifemin. I am a health professional and I usually won't use anything that is not thoroughly researched but I did my own research online and I was desperate after going into early menopause and suffering from frequent hot flushes, mood swings and poor sleep.
So I started taking Remifemin, but I was sceptical that it would make any difference. After about two weeks my symptoms became less intense and then completely disappeared.
I could...Read more

previous, my hormone levels were saying I was well and truly menopausal. After discussing HRT with my doctor and deciding not to go down that road. Within 8 days I was sleeping through the night. My night sweats had stopped and my hot flushes are less frequent and nowhere near as severe. I feel great and back in control. On the 3rd day of taking this I woke with a shocking headache (no don't drink), had a slermosh stomach each time I took it and that was with a glass of water or milk. and felt quite dizzie for most of the 3rd day.
Plus my kidneys felt like they had been kicked by an Aussie league player this morning.

Amazing!
After suffering 2-3 hot flushes per hour for the past 7 months, night sweats, headaches, moods etc I had finally had enough and made an appt to see a doctor specialising in menopause only to be told she couldnt help me with any medication due to family history of high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc. I was devastated as this was my last hope to get my life back to some sort of even keel, until my supervisor told me about remifemin.
