Pathetic example of a rental company
Please don't rent with this pathetic company, I wanted to break my lease which I filled out all paper work as required with there terms and paid a break lease what is nothing more then stealing, even the judge mentioned this in court.

Terrible agency. They don’t deserve a star.
They are the worst agency I have ever dealt with. I rented from them and had so many issues that needed to be fixed which they never did after several emails. Meanwhile I was paying rent regularly. I then decided to withhold payment of rent to catch their attention. True to my plan, they responded and came to fix the problems in the house. Scams Tenants
This company is terrible, disorganised and rude. We had several maintenance issues which they ignored. When we issued a notice to remedy breach after our air conditioner had been broken for 8 months, they tried to insist that the breach had been remedied since they "plan" to fix it, which is insane. You have to actually fix the maintenance issue for it to be remedied.
They never turned up during their 4-hour inspection window (which by Australian tenant law should be 2 hours), but would turn up later in the day and unlock our house anyway.

ey forced us to sign another lease or issue a notice of intention to leave a whole 3 months before the end of our lease. If you don't do either, they will evict you and start looking for a new tenant. They do this to circumvent Australian law that tenants only need to give 2 week's notice to leave. We chose to issue a notice of intention to leave and they started tours right away, twice a week for the last 3 months, which was annoying and unreasonable. Tried to force us to have our carpets professionally cleaned and professional pest control done, even though we had not stained the carpet and there were no pest issues. This is illegal under Australian law. You need to leave the property clean, but it's your right to choose how to get the carpet clean. We left our property completely clean with no damage. They lied on the exit report and said it was dirty, and tried to take the whole bond. When we filed our own bond claim for the whole amount, they backed off before it could go to tribunal because they would have been caught with their illegal practices. We got the whole bond back. For young people new to renting: ALWAYS submit your own bond claim to the RTA the day after your lease ends. RentMyProperty doesn't get to decide whether you keep your bond, the law does. Incompetent, rude and disorganized
Hired RMP as our property managers. All seemed to be going good until they decided to change managers... all I can say is WTH..... completely disorganized, have been waiting 2 months to get back a signed lease from our tenants (who have been good tenants for 2 years) and we are still waiting. Highest fees and worst services plus money skimmer
They charge the highest management fees in Brisbane property management market as far as I know. They were trying to scare me off from other agents as they described "there are a lot of sharks on this market". They have most expensive contractors who charged $170 for replacing a $40 fire alarm. e very complicated management hierarchy and unstable management team that you don't know who are you going to talk to. They are suspiciously requested my Rate Charges after I moved to another new property agent. They skimmed 3x$2.75 as management fees from last water bill that deducted from previous tenants bond, after I made compliant to Fair Trading Office. Management fees should be taken from rent income. They lied to Fair Trading Office that the tenants weren't in the property during their occupation. It is just a ridiculous lie. Never again will I deal with Rent Star!!
On Saturday I scheduled an appointment to inspect a unit on Monday. On Sunday I received a text confirming the 10 AM appointment on Monday. On Monday, I got up at 4 AM, flew to Brisbane to see unit. At 9:30 I received "courtesy phone call" from Rentstar woman who said that the unit had been rented on Saturday. There was no courtesy there. No "outstanding service". Just complete disrespect for me, my time, and my money. Also I saw ad for unit online. So cannot believe anything advertised by this company. I recommend having nothing to do with them.

We have been with, rent my property for 2 years. We found them to be a very pleasant hassle free realty.
Quick n lovely inspections, very helpful if needed and Great communication.
We highly recommend then to anyone and will keep them in mind for future rentals.

Do not use them
The staff are incompetent and rude. They tried to keep a $1600 bond because on the exit report the window runners hadnt been cleaned. The cost of the cleaner was only $250 but they wanted the whole thing. Refused to negotiate. Ignorant and blatantly deceitful behaviour. This company should be shut down.

Disgusting Rental Company

Worst real estate ever
First inspection I didn't even get a notice for, then charged a water bill for a house that wasn't water efficient. Air conditioner leaked brown liquid all over my lounge, was told it would be repaired...nothing. Second house inspection, they never turned up then came the next week no notice again. [name removed] is the rudest most incapable real estate agent ever.

Rented through RMP REDCLIFFE for 18 months! When entered the lease agreement the house was a disgrace. They told me they'd send in a "Sparkle cleaner" what a joke that is merely a whipe of the bench and quick mop. The kitchen was disgusting. Grease and filth. The cupboards had mouse poo in them. ey lied on legal documents! We weren't able to move in for 5 days because power couldn't be turned on over the weekend as there was a faulty safety switch. They have a way of signing you up 4.50pm on a Friday afternoon so they can't be contacted til Tuesday and you have no choice but to move into a filthy property. The prop inspectors don't work Monday so we had to wait till Tuesday for them to inspect then arrange electrical work. We took them to qcat because we couldn't move in. We won! But through tenancy they only inspected twice in 18 months. They lost my house keys from their office then requested I supply them with one of my sets. Upon leaving they hounded me to know if I was leaving although I only have to give 2 weeks notice not 3 months.. then as soon as I gave notice they demanded I open my home for future tenants. I said no. I only had a 2 week old baby! The day I handed my keys back I applied for my bond through RTA. I'm entitled to do that. When I spoke to the office and said no I'm not giving my bank details I've already applied for bond she told me I wasn't allowed to and she'll put a stop to that. We did a full professional bond clean and carpet's and they charged me for a secondary bond cleaner. We arranged another inspection and nothing was done. Yet they charge me close to $300? They supplied me with a water bill over $200 yet mine was only ever $75 and it was dated 3 years before my lease dates! They took me to qcat and the property managers responses of “not to my knowledge or I don't know because I didn't work there when they signed up" allowed her to win. Although we had all the evidence of their clear fraudulent activities between their recommended cleaner and themselves. The judiciary officer found us in the wrong. Keep your evidence. Record qcat for your own proof! Points to note..... take photos when doing entry report.. be over the top careful every mark, scuff even if minute.. apply for bond refund day you hand keys back. The property manager [name removed]- **RMP MARGATE ** tick that everything is working, in good order and undamaged on their entry report. But when you enter the property it is absolutely filthy, greasy, broken, power disconnected due to wiring issues. They told us the property will have a 'sparkle clean' before we move in. ch better than the way it was given to us. We made claim for our bond before they did. We were told by them that we were not allowed to do that, they said only the agents can apply for a bond refund. Which is not true!! Before even seeing the properties condition, they lodged a dispute with the rta for bond refund!! How unprofessional is that! They did their side of the exit report and were ever so pedantic on every mark, cobweb, fly spot they could find. We now received QCAT documents which states they are claiming for loss of rent (which we have evidence our rent was paid up to date), they are claiming bond re-clean through "Xtreme Clean" and get this.... ****They are claiming for water of $300+ for a metre reading of unknown property 3 years earlier*****. What a bunch of unethical money hungry. I am reading through these reviews that a lot of people are dealing with the same issue. They have their hand out for everyone's bond money as though they have a right to claim. Definitely would never rent from then considering how diorganised they are, just arranging an inspection let alone handling property management issues.
1st inspection booked, was cancelled last minute due to an availability of the agent, OK fair enough I understand, they are supposedly busy.
Second inspection cancelled because the time didn't suit them, so why would they bother booking that time in the first place?

she wasn't late, (like some other real estate agents), but when we got there the keys that she had wouldn't even unlock the door, so she contacted the current tenants to see if they were nearby and they said that be 10 minutes away, well after 10 minutes of fluffing around nothing happened and they said I we can't make it now.
