Have been buying shirts for my partner from Rhodes and Beckett for ages now so I was surprised to see so many bad reviews because we have so far had great service from them. During sale times the dispatch may take a little longer than normal (I think the longest I have had is just over a week to dispatch) but because I've bought from them so often I haven't been too worried because the product does always arrive.
When one of the ordered shirts was out of stock before dispatch was finalised, they offered us the option of selecting any other ...
Read moreavailable shirt in their range as a replacement. There was no price limit on the replacement, so having paid only $69, we received a $229 shirt as a replacement. I have also had one wrong business tie sent to me by mistake, but the customer service response was prompt and helpful. They responded to my email within the day, and within about 3 days the right tie was sent through to me and the wrong one returned to them in the box they sent.- 3 reviews

I have been a long time and loyal fan of the Rhodes & Beckett business attire. Having been introduced to the brand at their store at 31 Macquarie Place Sydney almost 10 years ago I have been buying their suits, shirts and ties ever since.
Most recently I made a bulk purchase online as I have always been happy with the consistency of their sizing and comfortable buying sight unseen.
For the first time it was clear that the sale had gone particularly well and three of the items were no longer available for delivery. The dispatch notice id...
Read moreentified the missing items. I made contact as instructed on the delivery notice. Immediately R & B service jumped into gear and offered alternative styles close to those ordered earlier. More impressive though was the fact that the alternative items offered were not limited to their sale lines. R & B made the alternatives available for my selection and they were promptly delivered as replacements. I cannot fault the alternatives offered or the immediate service and delivery. Reading some of the other reviews whilst the buttons may have changed the fabric is still the same quality as my shirts from many / many seasons ago that I can still get around in.
I have been buying female shirts. Good quality, comfortable and haven't encountered any online problems. Try shopfronts for fuller range?

Ordered 3 shirts, picked all the sizes, paid for them, transaction went through and then a week later they advises me that 2 of the 3 shirts were not available.... How could I buy them if they were not available ??
I also chose the gift wrapping service and when the 1 shirt I had left finally arrived there was no wrapping yet there was an invoice receipt for the cost of the 3 original shirts.
Should have listened more to the other feedback where people had said this has happened to them.
When I checked the website after they said I couldn't get my shirts, they were still on there.
Terrible customer service to boot, never again.

5 years ago I would have rated R&B 5 stars, back when their shirt buttons had their logo on the edge. Current shirts are terrible quality, not the same. If the old shirts I had no trouble. New ones I've had to replace over 20 buttons from 7 shirts. Yes that is not an exaggeration. This morning I put on a shirt, another button missing. Next shirt, a button missing. Next shirt, seriously a button missing. Guven the sleeve lengths are all way too long and need tailoring to the point the sleeve button is up against cuff (I'm 89cm arm nothing weird) that cements I'll never buy again despite having loyally bought since 2008.

I find Rhodes and Beckett utterly frustrating because they never stock any long shirts. They had a promotion recently where you could buy 3 shirts for $300. They could not even find 3 long shirts in all across Melbourne.
Have been a loyal Rhodes and Beckett customer for several years now and over the past few months have continually been told that online orders cannot be fulfilled - despite the website saying the shirts were available and paying for them. When offered to choose alternative shirts, and chose them, told several weeks later that some of those shirts were not available either. For an organisation selling shirts for $169 the service is appalling. Suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

I also purchased items (4) in their online sale over a month ago. After sending numerous emails, and having been promised my items were going to be posted within 24 hours (not posted until 2 weeks later!) my order finally arrived today... except I only received one item. 3 out of 4 items were out of stock but apparently no one at the company could be bothered letting me know before the order arrived on my doorsto. I would add I am STILL out of pocket over $400. I was advised that my refund was processed 3 days ago.. so where is my money Rhodes and Beckett?? I will never, ever buy from this company again. Appalled.
Purchased a suit in their online sale event. Received an email yesterday that they are unable to send the stock. However I have seen the same stock in their brand new store. I believe they forwarded all the stock to the new store and messed up with online order.

Placed online order 11/6 during their sale. Followed up customer service 19/6 told order would be out within 48hrs. After that date passed advised order would be out 26/6. Have sent 3 emails this week and not one replied to. It's now 2/7 and still waiting.
Have a wardrobe full of R&B shirts and suits and will be looking at other brands in the future.
Understand it can get busy and deliveries can be delayed but can't understand the terrible communication.
Having been a loyal, yet sporadic customer for a number of years, I recently ordered 4 shirts in their sale. Two weeks went by and I didn't hear a thing; a phone call, email or even simple a text acknowledgement of the issue/delay, surely wouldn't have hurt(!?). So, I resort to giving them a call, they told me they had hold ups, yet the shirts would be dispatched by the end of the week. Awesome!
Well it's now Monday (19 days after ordering) and I've just received one shirt (25% of my order), an extremely poor apology letter included in the d...
Read moreelivery and only 50% of my money refunded to my card! Oh yeah, and a $30 dollar voucher ...I don't even think R&B sell anything for <$100, so not sure what I'm supposed to do with that, as I certainly won't be ordering anything else from them. Great job guys, you've lost yourself another customer.- 8 reviews

We purchased two suits today from both Sydney meet and later the Bondi Junction branch. The service by Andy at Myers and Vanessa or Veronica (sorry) was truly outstanding. Their product knowledge and experience was hands down the best we had seen in some time. Not only is the product exceptional but to get that level of service just puts your focus back on the brand! Well done guys!

Excellent shirts. Egyptian cotton doses make a difference. Don't know why some others are so negative on the brand. I've had no issues.

Bought at Myer to wear at my wedding and was impressed in store with what I thought was great quality, so much so that I bought another 3 online, what a mistake. On my first wear at my wedding one of the buttons fell off, paid $179 for what I thought was a quality shirt. How embarrassing having to ask people at my own wedding if they had a sewing kit. Further, online shirts took 3 weeks to arrive with no reply to emails or calls to their customer service. Disappointed.
I have bought shirts and two suits from Rhodes and Beckett and regarded myself as a loyal albeit easy going customer. But recently I have had some disasters with their wear. First a shirt that tore in the elbow. I put it down to it being one of my favourite shirts so suffering from overwear. In the meantime I had purchased a suit - this tore in the trousers the other day at work. not good. Then I noticed my other suit had developed bubbling. Was told it was the dry cleaners fault. This is a dry cleaner I have been using for over 5 years and no problems previously. On that note I have a David Lawrence suit which I purchased 6 years ago and still going strong. So they have lost me as a customer.

Rhodes & Beckett has been my favourite shirt and suit brand for many years. Their shirts are simply the best, you'd be hard pressed to find better styling and quality elsewhere. For the suits, yes I agree the seams are not always perfect nor their general durability, that's why I take them to my tailor to double check on the worksmanship before I dare to wear their suits. Other than that, Rhodes & Beckett suits are superbly designed, they are all Super 130 with viscose lining and half canvas. What really sets R&B apart are their level of customer service, much much much more responsive and professional than similarly priced competition ([Name removed], [Name removed] to name a few).
Disgusting service - from the store and the head office. Do not waste your money here. There are definitely better ones out there.
Having purchased many many shirts at a premium price in the past ($170 each), I purchased a suit through their warehouse clearance, first time i wore the suit it was to a wedding when i was on the dance floor it split in the bum. After taking my pants back to them they have very little sympathy for what had happened and then claimed that it was my fault and they pants weren't faulty.. needless to say I now have to purchase a new suit and there was nothing that they were prepared to do even though it was the fist time the suit had been warn! Buyer beware!!
clothing tore the first time i wore it
I love their business shirts, but their online sales experience has been nothing short of terrible,
First purchase, 3 out of the 5 items i had ordered and paid for, I received an email saying they weren't in stock/didn't have them available. After a few failed attempts at picking other same priced items (which again,. despite showing as available online they didn't have in stock) i was able to pick any shirt, full price or sale, to replace the 3 that they weren;t able to supply. So at least they made good of the situation.

Read morese. Order total was meant to be $166. After entering card details and confirming the purchase, the confirmation came up at $348!! That I can deal with, easy fix right? That was 15 days ago! And despite chatting with their support staff, sending emails, attempting to call them (on all 3 occasions - getting diverted to a recorded message where I can then leave a voicemail, but guess what - "Sorry, Mailbox is full!") So after being charged more than double what I should've, 15 days and counting and no closer to getting it fixed. Service - disgusted by it! Will never buy from them again. Service is terrible.Brought two shirts and required them taking in on the back. Each shirt cost an additional $80 for these modifications, which I feel is an extortionate price for a bit of stitching on the back of a shirt on top of the $160 price of each shirt. I got the shirts back and they hadn’t even been pressed, meaning I had to spend more money and time.
I also made the mistake of giving my email address and phone number. I now get constant text messages and emails, even though I reply back requesting that I am unsubscribed from their mailing list.
