how do you remove the filters to clean them
2 answers
Push the front one backwards then pull into the gap forwards.
Then remove the back filter the same way.
Easy when you know how!
The dishwasher does a great job of cleaning the filters.

I inherited the Robin hood rules 61ss when bought house. The both filter clips was broken. Other parts are fine. I wonder if it's worth to buy the new pair of clips or replace a new one? I am concern the new clips would be broken soon. Unsure the warranty.

There is something about the design that make it hard to remove filters because part of the hardware breaks. I would ring robin hood and demand answers They actually sent me a new range hood
Thanks Paula. I have called them robinhood about the filers clips. they said it would charge $20 for the clips. but the clip warranty only 90 days, not 12 months. I see many people reports the plastic clips were easily broken. I am wondering if it worthy while pay $20 every 90 days ?

Just slide it out to the back it may take a little bit of bending but they do come out in 2 parts ... I soak in detergent to get the grease out.

I inherited the robinhood grange thing when I bought the house and cannot get the filters out. They are side by side not front and rear as above. I want to clean it but nothing works - I cannot find how to get the filters out and the whole things seems sealed without any evidence of where it opens up. I have no idea how old it is or when it last had the filters changed but it is disgusting and I can't stand it anymore.

I gave no idea, we had a tradesman do it

Hi Tezza,
The rangehood can be either mounted from above or from either side. In both cases the rangehood is held in place by 4 screws.
The instruction manual is in our website robinhood.com.au or you may contact our Customer Service desk on 1300 739 033 and one of our friendly team will assist you.

Could anyone recommend another brand of rangehood that could fit the space in the built-in cabinet for this Robinhood 60cm Slideout Rangehood RLES61SS/WH? I would like to chuck this second unit that I obtained into the bin as the sides where the screws are holding the unit in is cracking and the slider is sliding out on its own! Urgh!!

Good afternoon S H Lim,
As discussed with you yesterday Robinhood has improved this model range hood and we have organized to replace yours for you at no charge .Our technician will be contacting you to arrange a suitable day/time to attend.

I would love to know the answer to this too. We have just gone through our 4th Robinhood rangehood since 2007! (The current failure lasted nearly 3 years - one only lasted a year - same problem) As many others have discovered, a very poor design fault sees the plastic part holding the screw that supports the unit crumble away and the whole slide out part drops down. Unfortunately Robin hood is the only rangehood that fits the cabinetry. We are just about at the stage where we pay $600 to have the cabinet altered - it would work out cheaper than replacing the rangehood all the time)
To the Team at Robinhood. Thank you for organising a replacement of the "improved" model of the similar rangehood at no charge by your technician last Friday 23 February 2018. I will try this unit and will keep you informed on how long this unit will last us. I do hope the improved version will not crack as my previous two units. Hope that you are able to make similar replacements to customers who are facing similar problem as I did, like Jen above who have gone through the 4th Robinhood rangehood.

I have an RLES61SS and cannot take the filters out, have had it 5yrs and nobody can help me.. how do you get the filters out please?

Ours is in a rental. Don't know. Sorry
To remove the aluminium filters pull the slide-out out fully. The front filter is to be removed first and is done by pushing up the back of filter so it raises above the lip at the rear of the extension. Once the filter is above the lip slide the filter towards the back of the unit. When filter is about 3/4 of the way out it can be angled downwards towards the back wall and then pulled out completely. Once the front filter is removed, the rear filter is to pulled forwarded out of the holding clips, then angled down backwards in the same manner as the front filter. The filters go back in in the reverse order.
For further information please call our customer service centre on 1300 739 033.
NO, the Back filter comes out first. Hubby finally worked out. Same instructions as above but Back one First.
