Still don't like stick vacs
I've used heaps of stick vacs and this is one of the better ones, but still not fussed on it.
It's good for running over the floors daily. If you have a dog, it will soon fill up.
It's fairly noisy and not very pleasant audibly.
Don't bother using on carpet.
It's useless without the power head too e.g. trying to vacuum the car.
It does last a while on a charge, and the option to swap out batteries is great.
At the price through, wish I'd bought a cheaper stick vac and a ryobi shop vac for doing the cars

Solid Vacuum cleaner
Just bought this yesterday together with the blower from Bunnings. Read a lot of reviews before I decided to get this.
After buying a cheap one from eBay that couldn't suck, I was ready to pay a bit more but not too much.
Just vacuum the whole house on the 5Ah battery, 4 rugs/carpets and wooden boards. It did the job really well. Suction is really good, as the brush less motor is quite powerful. The battery doesn't seem to have gone halfway and probably can go another 20 mins.

Better battery life than a dyson
I bought this for my work in real estate. I can keep it in my car and use it here and there and charge the battery once a week.
Most of them only last 20 mins.
I did upgrade and buy the larger battery instead though.

Wouldn't bother
Apart from what seems to be good suction, there is not anything I like about this vacuum. Firstly, it is very heavy. Secondly, the handle is too short and cannot be extended. Lastly, does not perform on rug. I am taking it back for a refund

Very good for the money
Recently purchased the Ryobi stick vacuum based on good reviews, already having 4 batteries in my Ryobi arsenal of tools, and the price. Compared to the new Dyson at over $1000 it represents excellent value. My old Dyson stick has packed it in only working on slow speed and not for very long.

Lightweight and easy to use.
I really like this vacuum cleaner, it's great for stairs, great for my car because it's cordless and can be made into a hand held vac. It has a brush and crevice tool with an attachment to keep them altogether in the stick so you don't lose them. There is a stand so that you can create a charging station and the battery last longer than a lot of other cordless vacs. It has enough guts to do my carpet and then slides easily over my tiles for that quick clean.

Highy Recommend
It may be abit more heavier and abit more louder but it puts our Dyson to Shame. Since day dot from coming out of the box the Ryobi R18SV7 has preformed far better than it's revel Dyson. Recommend to everyone.

Great power tools but their Stick vacuum falls short.
I purchased a Ryobi R18SV7 a month ago and have found it to be disappointing.
I have a hard floor throughout my home.
Suction I give it only 2 out of 5.
Vacuuming of rugs I give it 0 out of 5 as the slightest bit of fluff stops the brush from spinning.
Most of my power tools that I use are Ryobi and can't fault them which is why I bought it.

Loud, but powerful
Finally got my hands on one after waiting for more than 6 months for this to be released into Australia.
Not sure the powers that be, but it is frustrating as an Aussie to be treated as second-class citizens. Just look at the Ryobi website from our friends in the states and see how many more product offerings they have access to while we wait to be trickle-fed more products. belt clip. The ones we have don't. And to infuriate me further, there are even mounting holes near the battery compartment just to rub it in your face that "yes, this tool was designed to have a belt clip, but guess what, Imma take that away from you on purpose, cuz you're an Aussie!". The 11L (called the 3gal) project vacuum cleaner over in the states is advertised as a "wet 'n' dry" vacuum. Over here? Dry only. So for that, boo, Ryobi. Big Fat Slobbery Boo. I know this snippet feels insignificant to you and you won't change your ways, but nevertheless, boo! I can understand and accept that our market isn't as big compared to the states, so that we don't exactly have the buying volume to make demands of full product availability, but the deliberate nerfing of products? Come on! Anyway, sorry to diverge. Had to let that out somewhere and unfortunately you guys happened to be my best outlet. Now this vacuum cleaner is quite noisy, and has that jet-engine high pitch whir. The swivel-head power brush feels quite nice to handle and does a brilliant job at kicking up dirt. Heavy and noisy
We bought this vacuum to use for cleaning the car and our caravan and ended up taking it back. Full praise to Bunnings tho for the no hassle return of it .
The vacume was very heavy and became hard to hold after a while when cleaning the car, the weight wasn't much of a problem when using in full vacume length.
The vacume makes a loud ear piercing niose constantly that was impossible to deal with.
All up very disappointed it is no comparison to our basic Dyson stick vac for the same sort of $
This is the firs Ryobi one+ product ive been not happy with as i have many and have usually full praise for the brand

Good value, great job, beats Dyson
Beats Dyson V6 for suction and cleaning. Great you don't have to wait to recharge, just clip on another battery. Dyson run time is short and then have to wait hours for recharge. Using a 5Ah Ryobi battery can vacuum the whole house which is a pleasant change. Having the easily replaceable click off battery is a big winner with me. 6 year warranty is solid so expect it to be a quality unit. plied tools could be a little better with a smaller nozzle tool and brush for doing sliding window tracks. Would also like a flexible hose so you could hold the unit in one hand and clean window tracks and window sills with the other hand. Having had many stick vacuum cleaners this Ryobi for performance and in particular the motorised brush works exceptionally well. One click motorised motorised brush for carpets, and second click for floors. Works well on all floor surfaces. Comes with wall hanging bracket and overall while not an inexpensive product can happily recommend for the price. EDIT: Note the US model is different to the Australian model. I've been thinking about a stick vacuum for awhile now and looked at other brands. Then this came on the market and as I’m a ryobi one + person I just had to give it a go. Bought this morning ( 16-10-18 ). I've been lugging an older style vacuum round for 5 years with the cord getting caught or tangled and I have lots of different ryobi stuff so I have plenty of batteries. is great. Didnt think my floors were that dirty but I live by the beach and sand always gets in the power head is nice. Press on button once and power head lights up and spins. Push again and head turns off but still sucks. 3 push and it’s all off. Easy attatchments are easy to put on. Push button on side to make it easy to take off catchment container and easy to clean filter. So the pros are.... Easy to assemble and use Not to heavy but prob heavier that others depending on what battery you use. Works really well and glides round nicely. Does a good job. Overall I am not unhappy with the Ryobi on carpet.. it seems to fluff up the carpet nicely and is easy to use.. (much better than having a cord).. but I really struggle with getting the right combination of the filter and pre-filter in.. are there any sites to look at how to install? It needs cleaning out every time I use it, so it would be great to get this sorted?

Mine came pre-installed... And you are not supposed to wash the paper filter but can wash the prefilter. I have actually taken it apart many times to wash the plastic dust box as well with no problem.
Have a look at the picture on your manual and see if you can find clues. If things fit nicely, then you should be on the right track. If you have to force things in, then chances are you're probably not doing the right thing.
Didn’t get a manual, would never wash a paper filter and know not to force. Can someone give me the link please?
