OK, Does the job
Nice capsule. Does what it's supposed to do - protect the baby. I like it that I could take it in and out of car without waking baby and snap it in place on my pram with the travel system adapter (the sole reason I bought this particular model). Generally I found it a little heavy and unfortunately once my baby became a couple of months or more this feature was a little useless as he weighed too much to want to take in and out of car with him in it, especially as in order to get it in or out of car (if positioned in the middle of car) it can...Read more
be pretty awkward and difficult with a heavy weight in it. Nice neat design but I found the wrap around strap a little cumbersome but maybe this is just standard. Sometimes the clasps on the bottom would get stuck and I'd have to pull them into place to ensure it was secure - this isn't so safe as someone else unfamiliar with it would perhaps not ensure it's installed correctly. This happened mainly when installing on top of pram (using travel system bracket) rather than in the car, so perhaps this doesn't have to do with Britax as much as the pram manufacturer. Newborn insert was good for the first month or so but can become hot/sweaty around baby if warm weather. The material overall seemed breathable and durable. Handle was good though could be more ergonomic and the two handed 'button' on each side to move it forward out of the way is really hard to use - especially once it's in place in the car. It's tempting just to leave it up because it's so difficult to move but I understand that's not how it should be used. Straps good and easy to adjust. I like the way it tightens and releases and wish more car seats used this same design. Sun visor is awkward, flimsy and a waste of space - shame because everyone I know has to improvise with some sort of muslin shawl or something - why don't manufacturers come up with better sun shades!!?? Stylish and generally very practical. A bit too heavy, handle hard to move.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

So convenient
I love the fact that I don't have to wake baby up to take him out of the car.it also snaps into my pram which is really convenient. Bub is 3 months old and is no where near the shoulder height so I think I may get the whole 12 months out of it (much better value than the maxi cosi which only lasts until 6 months, his shoulders were almost at the line when I tried him in it last week). I admit it it a little heavy with bub in it but I don't mind (probably a good workout for the yummy mummy jelly arms). I have a Holden cruz and it does mean the front passenger doesn't have a huge amount of leg room.
Lasts longer than the other capsules, comfy for baby, fits a lot of prams
A little heavy, takes up a fair amount of car space, a bit expensive

Wouldn't buy it again
Not the greatest capsule. It's ok at first but definitely will not last until baby is 1 year old as advertised as babies would be too long for it and to heavy to carry by the time they are 6mths. If I could turn back time I would have bought a much better capsule, with a higher safety rating and probably would have got it cheaper! After a while it become hard to click in and out of the base. Cannot be forward facing.
Shade come off easily, isn't very stable in car, it only last until baby is 6mths old not 12mths as advertised, low safety rating

Must have
So convenient and handy, my baby would fall asleep in the car or whilst I was shopping, I would just transfer her from one place to another without disrupting her seat. Also rocks while baby on seat so was handy when we visited family or friends. It's stylish and looked fantastic with our pram.
Everything
The shade handles fell off we don't know how.

Could be better
I used the capsule for 6 months with average size baby. The height still fitted my son but the straps were way too tight around the crotch.
I love the convenience of not needing to wake baby and using it as a rocker and safer than carrying baby in arms.
The sun canopy is great especially being able to turn it to the front of the capsule to block sun.
It was quite heavy compared to other models.
The tether strap was fiddly.
Sometimes it needed a jiggle to get it out of the base. The base was very wobbly and had to be careful other kids di...Read more

Really? I had very long babies, and they were in it til 12 months!!!
I have a long baby too and he is out of it at 7 months. His shoulders reach the marker so it is time to move. Did your baby's shoulders not reach the height marker until 12 months?

Fantastic product
Bought for my daughter initially and using again for my second.
Wonderful when used in conjunction with a travel system, we have the Bebe Care Reverse XLR as I like the large toddler seat however, an adaptor is required with most prams.
Great when visiting friends as you don't need to wake baby and you can rock baby in the capsule aswell. Very compact and fits into a hatchback! Option of buying a second base for your hubby's car without needing to purchase another capsule itself.
So many have complained about the heaviness as a big downsid...Read more
e but, I challenge you to find any capsule that isn't heavy with a baby in it!! My daughter was almost 14 months before we moved her to a standard rear facing car seat and she was born 10 pounds so, the weight limit can be reached! Best purchase I have ever made in regards to baby items!! Would recommend to anyone! Great investment when using for multiple children, don't have to wake baby, compatible with many prams, 12 kg weight limit, rocking ability, compact.Similar opinion? SnS Unity Car Capsule
Easy to use baby car capsule from one of the best names in car seats. It is so convenient to be able to take baby in and out of the at without having to buckle and unbuckle them in and out of the car seat, you don't have to wake them and if you have a compatible pram it will clip straight on making it even easier still.
They say the capsule is the only one in Australia to take up to a 12 month old baby so hopefully we'll get some good use out of this capsule (I had the agile capsule and my son outgrew it before 3 months).

ems to really like the capsule, sometimes at home when she is unsettled just putting her in the capsule and letting it rock puts her to sleep and she stays there for a while which has been a lifesaver, so it must be comfortable and cosy. I have seen it for around the $400-mark but got it on sale for about $290 so try get it on sale if you can. Easy to get baby in and out, looks good, compatible with prams to make travel system A little heavy with a baby in it, not sure I would be able to lift it easily with a 12 month old in itSimilar opinion? Makes life easy ..... !!!
The unity capsule makes outings so much more easier. You don't have to wake a sleeping baby - just press the buttons to detach from car base - capsule is then ready to carry around and baby is still asleep :-). One of my favourite features of the capsule is you can adjust the handle so that when placed on ground you can rock the capsule, or lock it into place so the capsule wont tip over. My baby loves his capsule and has day naps in it at home, its soft and snugly. I also brought the attachment for pram - so you can just click the capsule on...Read more
to the pram and baby is also still asleep!!!. I did a lot of research when buying a capsule and The unity capsule is worth that little bit extra money because you will be using it longer as they are one of the only capsules that will hold up to 12kg majority of other brands are around 8kg. Definitely recommend Makes getting out with baby sooo much easierSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Makes life so much easier
We had an infant which we were first using a car seat that was fixed and we had to take our infant out of the seat everytime. This was really annoying because everytime she would wake up, so we looked at getting a capsule that fitted our pram as well. We bought this one and it was great, very light and made life so much easier. I would recommend this product the safety rating could be better but it's a great product, baby loved it and the sun visor was great.
Ease of use and a sleeping baby stayed asleep when moved around

Clips into alot of prams, well priced
We bought this as it is one of the only capsules that takes up to 12kg and is compatible to be clipped into prams. After purchasing we realised the safety rating is not that great, and I would have purchased a more expensive brand if I had known that. However, bubs finds it pretty comfortable to sleep in and it is easy to get in and out of the car. The sun hood with the flap is really convenient too.
Ability to clip into pram
Safety rating, is a bit heavy

Not as safe as I first thought
I bought the Unity as I wanted a capsule that would fit into a pram easily and also a safe rear-facing child restraint that would last close to 1 year.....this hasn't quite lived up to my original thoughts.
The capsule clips into my Valco trimode (I bought an adaptor for the pram) and has been terrific to be able to transport a sleeping baby from pram to car and car to home. It clips into the car well. The overstrap is a bit fiddly though. The fabric is soft and looks good. Nice big sun shade.
My son is now 8.5 kg ( 8 months) and needs a new ...Read more

Love it
We bought it for our second child and also used it for our third child. It is really great. The fact is that you can un-clip it and use as a carrier is also very helpful. The only downturn is that the capsule itself is very heavy. Together with a baby in it it gets almost impossible to lift, especially when a baby is a few months old
comfortable, detachable
very heavy

Great capsule
This capsule made life with a newbaby much easier. It was compatible with my Valco pram and it was so good to be able to transfer my son from the car to pram or inside without waking him. It easily clips into my pram and is also easy to install in the car.
inexpensive, easy to use
Heavy

Good, solid baby capsule
This is a solid basic baby capsule. Main plus point is it will take baby's weight of up to 12 kg whereas most other capsules take only up to 9 kg. Has adaptors that work with lots of prams, and is fairly easy to install on your own and take in/out of cars. It is a little on the heavy side especially with baby in it (but most capsules are). Baby seems very comfortable sitting in it, although has just started to outgrow it at approx 6 mths. Easy to clean.
Well padded, baby seems comfortable sitting in it; Can take weight of up to 12kg.
A bit heavy

Perfect for large baby
I used this for two of my babies. One of my babies came early and I was able to adjust it to fit and keep my baby safe and then when my next daughter came she was very different in size but I had no trouble fitting her in either
I loved the fact I could buy an extra base for my husbands car with out having to purchase a whole new seat and base
At the start I found the button that connect seat to base a little stiff this I'd get better with time

Great carseat!
I purchased this seat to use in conjunction with a baby jogger pram. It is easy to install into car and a simple to use capsule. My son is very tall and still fitting at 5 months old (just without the bulky neck roll that goes down there sides). My only complaint is sometimes it takes me a few goes to get it off the base because the clips don't open fully but that might be something I am doing cus hubby has no problems!
Easy installation, great if using with a compatible pram
Sometimes hard to remove from base

Note on compatiblity for city elite with new unity capsule
Just found out that the new 2012 unity - is different to the old in that it doesn't have the capsule adaptor at the back of the capsule- its now blocked off. So some pram/stroller companies don't have the adaptor to suit the new one just yet, we have the city elite from baby jogger and they don't have the adaptor in stock and avail until end of 2012- not much use to us now

An absolute MUST for busy mums on the go !!
After four children and testing every capsule and seat under the sun, this one really made life easier those first 6 months. It is easy to use, and lightweight to carry. Most of all, it is compatible as a travel system with a fantastic Steelcraft layback stroller, which is very unique. Its not bulky at all like some. It is a bit expensive new, so a better buy second hand if you are lucky to get one. It appears to suggest it willl last you longer though. By 6 months, my child had well and truly outgrown it. Also, be careful when you have it ...Read more
out of the car with baby in it, it needs to lean against a wall, or it can easily flip back which is dangerous in my opinion. Also, the big strap connecting to the anchor point in the car can be a pain to connect up every time you put the capsule back in the car. But the convenience and pros do outweigh the negatives. I love not disturbing a sleeping baby, my son slept like an angel in this one ! Perfect for those school pick ups ! looks great too! User friendly, lightweight, good size, great travel system with steelcraft layback profile stroller. lovely stylish black and beige colours. expensive new, fiddly anchor point belt, would not really expect a baby to be in this past 6 mnths as it promotes!.Similar opinion? A great product!
I wish i had used a capsule with my first child, the convenience of getting a baby in and out of a car without disturbing their sleep is great!I also liked being able to put them in the capsule in the house and being able to just click them straight into the base, especially if it is raining lol. They are snug are secure and the quality of the capsule makes you feel your baby is safe.
Doesnt disturb their sleep, they are snug and secure, the quality of the capsule is outstanding and even looks 'safe', easy to click and unclick into the base in a smooth motion as to not disturb baby, washing is easy
can be alittle heavy with an older baby in it, can get warm in the summer months

Good
I bought this so my daughter would not get woken for things such as the school run but found that my daughter who is a very light sleeper started to wake when I unclipped the seat after a few months, in saying that it was great when she was really small even when she was awake it was good to be able to take into school, restaurants and friends houses and have somewhere to put her down and she would be safe.
Nicely Padded and snug for a small baby. Great that you can adjust the crotch strap position and love that it goes up to 12kg where most on...Read more

Hi I have a Britax bob car capsule and wondered if my friend could use it in a steel craft agile pram and what type of adaptors?/receivers? Would she need?

Support C.Britax Safe-n-Sound
Hi Sharon P. Thanks for your question. If the Bob capsule is a 2013 STD (series) and has the integrated click & go adapters, your friend can use this capsule in a Steelcraft Agile pram however will need to purchase the Agile Click & Go receivers. These are available through baby retail stores. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us on 1300 303 330. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
Tamaraasked
Hi, I have the steel craft strider capsule (I bought it in 2013) - I have just bought the bob revolution pro pram can I get adaptors so the capsule fits? I had the steel craft strider twin agile and have adaptors that fit that for the capsule to fit, is it the same adaptors at all?

Support C.Britax Safe-n-Sound
Hi Tamara, thanks for your question. The Bob Revolution Pro cannot take a Steelcraft Infant carrier and can only take a Safe-n-Sound Unity 2013 STD with Bob single adapters. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our consumer support team on 1300 303 330. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
Can it take any model of the safe and sound capsule?
Support C.Britax Safe-n-Sound
Hi Tamara, The 2010 STD was compatible however you would have also required the Britax Click & Go adapters however we no longer manufacture this adapter. The Click & Go adapters now come inbuilt in the Safe-n-Sound Unity 2013STD.

Bub is almost 7 months old and still loving the capsule. I think he will get a couple more months out of it. Great investment.
