Might make more sense to by this one if you have the matching stroller, if not I would research something lighter.
Safe and secure, comfortable for baby
Extremely heavy especially with the baby inside! Very awkward to remove out of the car (the button is hard to press at the angle you need to!). You most certainly would not be carrying it very far.

This capsule is great, it's good quality & nicely padded for baby. The only problem I found was that the capsule was quite heavy to carry around with baby in it so I only would carry it for short periods only eg. in & out of car to home; rather than carrying around a shopping centre as people do. If a new deluxe model came out that was quite a bit lighter I would purchase that.

We had the older style safe and sound capsule for our first child. We found the unity to be much better. Baby seemed to fit more snuggly into the capsule, therefore better safety, babies head seemed better supported.
Fits baby snuggly, baby looked very comfortable. Easy to get baby in and out of car, especially when sleeping. Good sunshade.
Can be heavy if you want to carry baby around for too long.

I love the capsule. It is a litte smaller than the other sns model. i fit it inbetween 2 sns maxi riders. it also has a smaller base for the other children to climb over. The only thing to remember is that the RACV rated this a little less safer than the other sns model
I have had both sns capsules and the best thing about the unity is the fact that it can be used as a rocker when out and about to put bub to sleep and it also fits across a shoping trolley.
it doesn't come with the seat belt gate that is needed.

This capsule is well worth the money. I did find my baby over heated easily on slightly warm days due to lack of ventilation around the child. The insert is much more easily removed and washable than a standard car seat and the fabric in the base is also just able to be wiped clean. The safety rating on this capsule also makes it worth purchasing.
Being able to use it as a baby carrier as well as a car seat. Can take bubs out and about without waking.
My child became very warm during summer in this seat as it isn't well ventilated. Can get heavy once bubs gains weight.

It weights a lot, even without bub.

Really pleased I bought this one. Baby sleeps well in it almost every trip and is happy awake in it too especially with a few toys dangling from handle. Glad I did not bother with the stroller that this fits onto as my summer baby would have been way too hot in it. Tip for those looking at capsules compatible with strollers - ask yourself whether you will be driving to places where you'll be walking.
Sturdy and safe. Great to lift in and out of car when bub is asleep. Well padded and easily washable. Good expansion for baby's growth. Easily installed.
Hot for bub in summer. A bit heavy, especially once bub grows a bit. After a C section I couldn't lift it anyway.

The unity is a great car restraint that allows babies to be rearward facing up till 12 kilos. With lighter babies the ability to remove the capsule from the car is great but as the baby grows the unit is too heavy to carry.
Baby can stay in rearward facing position till 12 kilos. The seat is really comfortably padded and the harness is adjusted very easily. The hood helps to sheild the baby from the sun and toys can be hung from the handle to amuse the babu while in the car.
The unit is a bit heavy to take in and out so I generally leave it in the car. The fabric stains very easily, even from dribble it gets water marks so it needs to be washed a lot.

In one word, LIFESAVER. Never owned a capsule for my first two children but bought one for the third. It's easy to use and the baby is so snug in the capsule I have never had a crying episode in the car.
Great for transporting sleeping baby to house or pram. Fit into my Peg Perego Venezia. Very comfy for baby. Easy to use and easy to transfer to second car if needed. Great to use as a rocker as well. Extremely handy for short trips to the shops or dropping kids off at school. Helps make getting in and out of the car with three kids a breeze.
Quite heavy, even with newborn, only used it with the pram for long trips.

GREAT, used it with profile stroller and loved it, so did my baby.
Made the school run and shopping easy, didn't have to carry him around and didn't have to get him out and wake him up. Great for visiting,used it as a rocker and for feeding.

Base smaller than old style capsule, takes larger baby, use it as a rocker, used with profile stroller, canopies can fully enclosed baby from weather and people, transports sleeping baby easy, easy hold handle, which is great for hanging toys off.
Nothing, did take a few practices to learn getting onto base unit.
