Convenient
I brought this capsule because it could be used as part of a travel system and can be used till 12kgs. As part of a travel system it is great. If the baby falls asleep in the car you can take the whole seat out and clip it into your stroller. It also makes it easier to get the baby into the car. Since the seat can be taken out and the baby can be put in it outside rather than having to avoid obstacles such as the car roof and doors.
In relation to the maximum weight rating of the capsule I found most babies would be too tall for the capsule...Read more
before they were anywhere near 12kgs. My child out grew it before he weighed 9kgs. The only other problem I found was that the seat heats up the baby a little. My son has eczema and if I didn't have the air conditioning going he would get sweaty and his eczema would flare up. Part of a travel system Fabric warm in summer, gets heavy with a big baby in itSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

My must have baby item!
I am a Mother of 5. When my first child was 9 months, I had a terrible car accident and ended up quite injured and my car written off. My baby was in a safe and sound seat and didn't even have a scratch on him. From that moment on I knew I would only ever put my children in a Safe and Sound restraint.
I love my safe and sound seats and all 5 children have always been in them. They are worth their weight in gold.
The unity capsule/carrier is amazing. I haven't experienced any problems with my babies outgrowing the carrier lengthwise so early ...Read more
as other reviewers have. My youngest is now 8 months and 8kg. She will easily fit until she's 12 months old. My now 3 year old fit in this carrier comfortably until he was 11 months. They are all average weight/height children. I love being able to take my baby on the school/kindy run and being able to transfer her in the capsule without having to disturb her. It is lightweight (compared to others), easy to use, easy to install. The sun hood is an excellent feature, not only for keeping sun out but it also makes a great privacy cover for a sleeping baby. My baby has always been very happy in it. I love that you can use it as a travel system with some prams/strollers. The biggest selling point for me was that I can use it for my child until 12kg, where most others were only up to 9kg. I would definately reccommend this capsule to anyone. You can quite often get them on special and they have great resale value if you keep them in good condition. Baby gets a bit hot/sweaty in the capsule in summer if you don't use air con in your car. Would probably happen with any baby seat though.

I feel very safe having my baby in this capsule
I think the ultimate concern for any parent is their baby's health and safety and this capsule definitely passes the bar for car/travel safety. We found putting our newborn daughter in the capsule - she is snug as a bug in a rug, so to speak - she didn't even need any blankets/wraps as she was very warm in it. Easy to use with 2 clicks to remove the capsule from the base (plus loosening one strap) - our baby never complains as we move the capsule in and out of the car!
I feel very safe having my baby in this capsule

Safe, easy to use capsule... must have - makes life with a new bub easier and safer
I bought the Safe-N-Sound Unity capsule for my third bub after using a convertable carseat with my first and a different branded capsule with my second... both I was not overly happy with... the Safe-N-Sound Unity has made me wish I bought it for my first! It's been brilliant.
I think the best feature of the capsule is the hood... bub never has sun in her eyes, be it the capsule in the car, moving from the car to the shopping trolley (Or pram if I had a compatible one) or just being carried around town.
The other GREAT thing about it is tha...Read more

this carseat goes with steelcraft eden layback and profile layback and terrain 3 wheeler WITHOUT an adapter this carseat can fit other branded prams/ stroller with an adapter, can buy another base for $130 for second vehicle, besy buy should have brought this for first baby, great when you shop even without stroller just pop bub down (while he's in carseat) and browse through clothes no need to hold a baby all the time, all fabric is machine washable, has hood no sunlight from side, overall a great buy
part of travel system no disturbing bub
no problems just when baby gets bigger it gets heavier to carry,, oh course

I wanted to give it 5 stars and would have if it wasn't for it being so hard to sometimes unclick it out of the car. It doesn't put me off this product though. The fact that this seat is one of the safest capsules out there, so it's worth it sometimes being tricky to get out. I also must mention that it doesn't happen too often. This capsule is now carrying my 2nd child and is still working and looking lovely. It will last a long time and your child can be in it for a long time too, it goes up to they're 12kgs I think. Would happily buy again a...Read more
nd recommend to friends. Carrying them in and out of the car without waking them up in priceless. If you don't feel like getting out the pram its a great seat for them to just sit in if you're at a cafe, or going to church etc. They can be in it until they're 12kgs. My first son was in his untill he was 15months old! His legs hung over but it wasn't a problem. Rear facing is the safest way to position your child, so you can leave them in there for quiet a long time and they'll still fit comfortably. It's great always taking the seat inside so that it's easier to strap your baby in and out without having to hunch into the car which you would otherwise have to do. It does get heavy. Be prepared to get a workout whilst holding this as your child gets heavier. I wouldn't bother carrying long distances, get the pram out instead. So sometimes it's not so easy to unclick. This can be quiet frustrating when you've been trying to unclick and finally get it the 7th time. This of coarse wakes up your child as you're jolting it each time.Similar opinion? This was one of my most favourite products bought and recommended to mums. I loved it wholeheartedly. I used mine on a car adapter frame for a bugaboo cameleon and was said when my little guy outgrew it. I never had to wake him and at family's never needed the wheels or other contraptions whilst out. Thumbs up all the way. If one was able to invest in another cover, would be good too as if washing it is nice to change over covers in the event of needing to go out whilst other cover is drying.
Great design, comfortable and well padded, up to 12kg so much longer lasting than previous predecessors, can be used as feeding seat or rocker. Easy in and out manuvere. Can attach to some prams.

I was undecided about buying this carrier but after using it I'm so glad I did. Its great when you go out to dinner or visit friends as you can take baby in still in the seat so if they are sleeping you don't have to wake them.
Great for us as we have a Barina (small car). Can get baby all strapped in in the house. Has a really good sun shade. The newborn padding is excellent. Easy strap adjusting system.
Baby gets very hot in it. Once they get bigger their feet hang over the edge and you have to be careful not to knock them when carrying it around. When baby sleeps they sometimes flop forward and don't look very comfy. Its very heavy to carry when baby is in it. Shame there isn't a stroller frame it can attach to.

I think it's fantastic really and kicking myself it took 5 kids to get to buying a a full travel system. Makes life so much easier and less stressful on the baby with not being woken and having to be strapped back in a seat. I would recommend to anyone to use as a complete travel system as the pram is a huge component. If I was using this capsule or any capsule without a pram I would feel completely different as they are to heavy to lug around.
An easy item for moving baby without waking! Made life so much easier when using with pram as a full travel system and knowing that baby is safe and secure.
Could be a pain to release from car and a bit heavy with or without baby in it.

This is a great capsule, I have used it alone and with the travel system. The travel system is great, it's easy to get bub from car to pram and even better if bub is asleep, as they are not bothered. When the capsule is detached from the base, it has a slight curve on the bottom so it can also be used as a rocker. It is easy to get bub in and out of the capsule and easy to get the capsule in and out of the car. Overall, I would highly recommend this capsule, and having already owned 2 (one for each child) I would happily buy one again.
Bub was very snug in the capsule, can take bub out of the car without waking him up.
It got a bit heavy to carry when bub started to get a bit bigger.

Has been very handy to transport baby in and out of car when he is sleeping to bring him into home without waking. We removed the cushion insert as our baby did not look comfortable as his head would always turn to the side and be covered by the cushion pillow. We purchased pram before buying this, but would have liked to have compatible pram to allow going shopping without waking baby. Baby is 3 months and it up to the second strap adjuster and i think we will only get another 3 months before having to replace for a bigger forward facing se...Read more
at due to babies weight and length. Transportable outside of car, snug for newborn and older infant. Easy to change strap size. Moveable sunshade. Can get a little heavy when baby is older. Back release button gets stuck and Handle also difficult to release, not sure if mines slightly faulty in this sense or if this is just the way it is designed. Is heavy and awkward to carry for longer periods other than in and out of car to house.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Wonderful product. can't say enough good things about it. Our daughter goes to sleep in it nearly straight away so must be comfortable. love how it clips easily into car base and compatible stroller. easy to use. would recommend to other parents. my parents love it and have bought a base so they can use the capsule when they look after bub.
ease of being able to move baby from car to stroller (we have the Steelcraft Profile) or inside without waking her. light. easy to use. bub seems comfortable in it. love the removable insert. easy to wash.
can't find anything bad with this carrier.

Highly recommend this capsule in combination with the pram. Much easier on my back then trying to use a car seat also more convenient for moving a sleeping baby. The rock feature of the capsule also got alot of use.
Wonderful to be able to transfer a sleeping baby from car to pram and back again without waking them up. Also accommodating up to 12kgs was very helpful especially when my baby was 8kgs at four months.
I found the capsule would at times get stuck in the base or the handle would sometimes get stuck if I locked it down - just stopped putting the handle down. It is heavy, especially with a 10kg baby in it.

Really love it. So good for the second baby as you can cart them around to school, shops etc without having to wake them up! Very snuggly too.
So comfortable for baby and easy to use. Sun shield can be moved to exactly where it is need, ie it's not fixed in the one spot.
Heavy, seems to get stuck in the base and need a good pull which wakes up the baby!

I bought this second hand on eBay and is one of our best purchases for the baby I've ever done. Because it is very good quality (from reviews I've read) & every piece of fabric on it can be taken off and washed, I was happy to buy it second hand (of course you have to assess how it has been used by first owner & if it is still in good condition). The baby can use it until he's 12 kilos (about 18 months old on average) and doesn't need to be woken up if he's fallen asleep upon reaching destination.
Baby doesn't need to be woken up to be transfe...Read more

I could not have survived without this! After a c-section and a 4kg baby this was a lifesaver. I could easily transport bubs without waking her and with the stroller (steelcraft profile) it made a beautiful and easy to use reverse-facing pram - which was a lot lighter and more convenient than the large jogger that I use now. Was very sad when baby just got too heavy to lug up the flight of stairs from the garage, mind you, she was over 6 months and 8kg by then! I found having a capsule made my life much easier with a newborn. Being able to take my daughter from the car and clip it onto the stroller (i had the compatible stroller) was fantastic while out and about if she was asleep. And so much quicker as didn't have to worry about unbuckling etc. Also great that it has a hood to protect the baby from the sun - I used this a lot as didn't have the window shades.
Very cosy for a young baby. Great being able to take sleeping baby from car without disturbing him/her. Brand known for high standards of safety. Easy to adjust straps.
Don't have anything bad to say about the capsule!

OK
I bought it with a travel system, and I think without a travel system I would have used it much much less due to its weight. I wasn't completely sold on the matching Steelcraft stroller, but there are now a number of different brands that have car seat attachments to take the Unity, so I was able to buy another stroller I preferred.
Great for transferring sleeping baby. Also great as a rocker. Good sun canopy. Comfy looking padded insert for newborn baby. You can also get a second car seat base, which would have been very handy but I didn't find this out until too late!
Heavy and awkward to carry by itself.

Hi I have a Britax bob car capsule and wondered if my friend could use it in a steel craft agile pram and what type of adaptors?/receivers? Would she need?

Support C.Britax Safe-n-Sound
Hi Sharon P. Thanks for your question. If the Bob capsule is a 2013 STD (series) and has the integrated click & go adapters, your friend can use this capsule in a Steelcraft Agile pram however will need to purchase the Agile Click & Go receivers. These are available through baby retail stores. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us on 1300 303 330. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.

Hi, I have the steel craft strider capsule (I bought it in 2013) - I have just bought the bob revolution pro pram can I get adaptors so the capsule fits? I had the steel craft strider twin agile and have adaptors that fit that for the capsule to fit, is it the same adaptors at all?

Support C.Britax Safe-n-Sound
Hi Tamara, thanks for your question. The Bob Revolution Pro cannot take a Steelcraft Infant carrier and can only take a Safe-n-Sound Unity 2013 STD with Bob single adapters. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our consumer support team on 1300 303 330. Kind regards, the Britax Childcare team.
Can it take any model of the safe and sound capsule?
Support C.Britax Safe-n-Sound
Hi Tamara, The 2010 STD was compatible however you would have also required the Britax Click & Go adapters however we no longer manufacture this adapter. The Click & Go adapters now come inbuilt in the Safe-n-Sound Unity 2013STD.
