Good Capsule Overall
I have this capsule and like that it is compatible with a lot of pram models. I found that it is quite bulky and takes up a lot of space length ways (encroaches somewhat on the seat in front) but if you have a larger car it isn’t an issue.
It is quite heavy once the baby grows bigger and so I wouldn’t recommend attempting to use it up until the recommended weight unless you are super fit and strong as it can hurt your back sometimes.

Great for a taller baby
We weren't originally going to get a capsule car seat, but in the end decided it would be handy for not disturbing a sleeping baby after car trips. It turns out our baby was initially one that hated car trips! So she never fell asleep in it! However after she turned 4 months old she finally started to sleep and it has paid off! Luckily we went for this capsule because it is the only one that went up to 12months, and as our baby is quite tall she would have grown out of the regular 6 month size seat just as it became so useful. It is easy to carry and we got the adapters to fit it with the steelcraft agile plus pram and that's very easy to click it in and out.

Very good product, can use up to 12 months
This product appears very good to me and worth for the money and was easy to plug and unplug to the base fitted in car. The another advantage is is it can be used upto 12 months where most other capsules are only for 6 months.
The draw backs might be an additional belt we need to tie around the carrier and also this is slightly heavy though I agree that it is strong body and heaviness is good for babies while travelling.)

Nice but not a necessity
We hired the capsule (April 2013 model) for 1st bub and personally didn’t think the capsule was necessary for us.
Pros
- handy when bub is sleeping
- easier for my hubby to get her in and out of seat as he is very tall it’s harder for him to get her in when the capsule is already in the car
- easy to get in and out of car
Cons
- no attachment for my pram (reds baby jive)
- I don’t like the material, it’s a velvet fabric so gets really hot. Not ideal when we are going into summer. In looking at newer models I think they have changed the fabric to something lighter?

Faulty brand new and have to take for repair
Purchased this to go into the click and go adaptors on my city mini GT. Capsule itself looks great however we have just attempted to click in into the adaptors and it doesn't unclick unless you take the adaptors off the pram tip it upside down and force them out. After calling i was told it sounds like an issue with capsule itself as it should easily click in and out (which it did on the in store version). We were told we will have to either be without the capsule while its repaired or drive it 1hr plus away for repair if they have stock. It's a BRAND new capsule!!!! Not ideal with a 3 day old baby and 2 older siblings.

Great for the first few months
This capsule made travelling around with a newborn so much easier as it was compatible with our stroller. We will be using it again with our second baby. Id suggest to families that it be installed professionally as there were a few finicky things about the installation.
The only issues we had was that the front seats of the car had to be pushed forward quite far to fit the seat in meaning mine or my husbands legs would be nearly touching the front of the car (We have a Honda Accord Euro 2012 as well so its not a small car). Also the material...Read more

Good if for small babies
I purchased the Unity Carrier for my newborn in April. I wanted the ease of being able to get her in and out of the car without waking her and being able to use it on a pram. I have the Strider Compact pram which the Capsule is compatible with once you buy the brackets to attach (about $30). I chose this capsule has it is meant to be bigger to allow a child to use it for up to 12 months. In hindsight, I probably wouldn't have gotten a capsule. I am not sure about other capsules but this one is very heavy. Even a 7lb baby is hard to carry in it....Read more
Babies don't feel overly heavy until you are holding them down by your side in a car seat. The capsule itself had to be installed professionally as it isn't a simple install. The capsule is relatively easy to get in and out of the car, however, you do need to put the seatbelt over the top of the capsule and this can be time-consuming, although sometimes I can do it in seconds. The straps on the capsule itself keep getting twisted and this is driving me nuts, I need to get to the back of the capsule and re-thread all of the strapping as it has somehow gotten itself all twisted. My 5month old still has a bit of room before she gets the shoulder height marker, but there is no way I would be able to lift this capsule with a 12-month-old in it. I think this is true of all capsules though, and the Unity specifically is a reasonable choice if you do decide to use a capsule.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Works great
Very easy to carry, works well with my steelcraft pram.
Had it professionally installed so i don't know how easy it is to install bu since having it installed no issues with it becoming woobly or anything of that sort.
Our daughter only just grew out of it and she is 16 months old!

Quality capsule with good lifespan.
Bought this capsule as we only had a choice of 2 at Baby Bunting that were compatible with our stroller travel system and are very happy with the purchase. Has been lugged in and out of car and stroller for 3 months now and still looks brand new.
Says that it will fit baby up to 12 months and I believe it, as our daughter is 3 months now, still in the infant insert and has heaps of room.
Was easy to install base in car and easy to get capsule in and out, although if your are not careful can make a loud child-waking clunk when you click it ...Read more

Good capsule
I bought the NEOS capsule as a gift for my sister last month and so far, she and her husband are pretty happy about it. For one, its pretty straightforward to install as a car seat and can be easily removed and transferred to a stroller (my sister has the Britax). The construction is also very sturdy.

Did it's job with a few quibbles
I usually only review things I love and potentially would review something I would warn people off buying. This capsule isnt in either camp but since I reviewed my new baby seat I thought I'd complete the picture.
This has been our first capsule so nothing to compare it to. It has done its job.
I have found the harness loosening apparatus not that easy to use and getting our wriggling baby in and out has always been a chore, a few times one side of the harness has come undone, My fault but again not helped by increased difficulty.

Terrible design, not the best for comfort.
Capsule weighs a ton compared to the US equivalent which we were given for second hand use. The only thing convenient about this was the fact that you could just pull it out of the car and straight onto the pram (but was still a challenge due to the weight with a baby in there).
Some other items which weren't too great were:
1. Terrible sun canopy design. You slide in onto the side of the carry handle and gets in the way of the sidewall and the carry handle itself! You could not adjust one without retracting the other.
2. Belts are poorly ...Read more

Nah
At first it was alright but after a couple of uses, the buckles got stiff and were a pain to use. Wouldn't recommend, unless your budget pleads you too. It's a pretty one though, in terms of how it looks and feels, my kid was very comfortable in it when we first got it.

Very happy with this infant carrier
This capsule is easy to carry however can get heavy as the baby gets heavier! My bubs is 4.5months and still fits in the carrier. I like how its 0-12months but I am sure bubs will be out way before 12 month mark! The capsule is compatible with my Bugaboo cameleon and the bee however different adapters are required for both prams. It was easily installed by my husband. Bubs fits securely in the capsule and often sleeps in it as its very comfortable!

Easy to use and lasts for longer than other carriers
Very easy to install in a car, so its good for moving between cars. Fit on my strider plus pram, after we purchased the pram adapters. Lasts till 12 months, so better value than other carriers. Bit heavy to carry when child is in it, especially when they get older.

More cons than pros- Unity 2248
Pros-
Adapter options make it easy to clip baby in and out of various model prams which is the primary reason we purchased it. Fantastic not having to wake up your sleeping infant.
Customer service. Britax company reply to questions and seem easy to deal with.
Supposed to last for up to 12 months while other capsules only last until approximately 6 months.
Cons-
Longevity. I don't feel that the capsule has the longevity of up to 12 months. Our 2 1/2 month old is on the last strap height. While my baby is above average for height and weight, I stlll would have expected it to last for at least 7-9 months for a bigger baby, which will not be the case. ...Read more
Weight. The Unity is lovely and sturdy, but damn, it has some weight. I'm not sure how you would be able to lift the capsule and an older baby out without injuring yourself. Fabric. Our Unity model had a felt/velvet like fabric which I thought felt soft and lovely. Unfortunately, I found our baby was constantly overhearing and dripping in sweat when he was taken out of it (despite cooler days and air conditioning in car). We had to line it with a cotton tea towel to absorb some of the sweat. I have since seen newer models that appear to have a more breathable fabric, so I would definately recommend that version. Sunshade. Constantly in the way of the handle when pushing it back. You have to completely remove the sunshade to move the handle back to the floor to stop it rocking. Again, newer Unity models have a stretchy sunshade in a different fabric which would likely eliminate this problem. Ease of use. It is very easy to accidentally make a mistake in putting baby in the car. The strap adjuster at the base of the seat is difficult to use when installed as it is very close to the seat. The anchor belt threads into two anchor points at the back of the capsule which you really can only check by feel. I nearly did not secure one of them properly one time until I triple checked and noticed the belt was not completely in. Way too easy to not safely secure in your baby. Use with Strider compact adapter. The Strider Compact adapters where hard to use as it required two hands to unclip the capsule from the pram, then you had to lift the capsule from the sides and try to move your hands up to the top of the handle to hold it. Not impossible, but just really awkward. Overall, I would not purchase this model capsule again, but if someone let me borrow it I would use it if it was winter. I'm not sure if other brands or models are any better and easier to use, but it is nice to have the option to not wake a sleeping baby up, which is DEFINATELY worth it!Similar opinion? Does the job!
I hired the capsule as I didn't feel the need to buy (in hindsight I should have as I'm pregnant again). My baby is 7 months is 75% height and 98% weight and still fits well with room to grow. The capsule with my 10kg baby is a little heavy now but I don't tend to carry her in it any more unless its to attach to the stroller so she can continue to sleep. I also hired the conversion bar to allow the capsule to fit to my stroller (snap 4). I can flip open the stroller with one hand, fit the converter bar and drop the capsule into the locks in less than 30 seconds -its been brilliant!

Would buy again, very handy
Our capsule was purchased secondhand and still in very good condition. As our baby was on the larger side, i didnt think he would be in it for long.
Installation was easy enough. We used a seat protector which made it more sturdy including a gated buckle to get more tension on the seat belt strap once locked in.
The best part of the carrier is getting baby in and out without disturbing him. The handle adjusts well and fits the hand nice. The locking mechanism is easy to use and the hood is good to cover up. The only annoying thing is run...Read more
ning the anchor strap around the back of the carrier and locating the clips. A better system could be used here, because I could see it deterring people from using it. It was also compatible with our bob motion stroller and does have aftermarket receivers for different strollers ( sold separately). All in all its a great product and we would certainly use again in the future. Transporting baby couldn't be any easier.1 comment

Definitely doesnt last 12 months
This capsule is ok. Honestly I wish that we skipped it and went straight to a normal car seat instead because it didn't last us half as long as I would have expected
Pros:
- Compatible with the bugaboo pram so you don't have to wake bub when you get out of the car (you must buy an adapter for it though which costs you extra)
- Doesn't take too much space. However I do have to have the seat slightly more forwards in our Mazda 6
- Convenient when you want to carry bub in it (before they get too big)
- Easy to install
- Good safety rating
Cons: ...Read more
- Doesn't last anywhere near 12 months like advertised. My bub has grown out of it by 4 months (he is an average sized baby - if anything he is on the smaller side compared to other babies his age in my mother's group). We didn't get as much use out of this capsule as I would have liked. Wish we just got a car seat instead cos its too expensive for an item that only lasted 4 months. - Heavy - for a newborn it is ok but now that bub is 4 months old, its getting really heavy to lift and carry it - Fabric is not breathable at all - bub is always getting too hot and sweating in the capsule even though we always have the aircon in the car. Even on cooler days bub still gets sweaty because the fabric is not breatheable. Additionally bub gets too hot and sweaty in it when we go to the shopping centre so that kind of detracts from the convenience of using the capsule with the pram. They need to introduce better fabric for the capsule. - Infant insert provides no head support. We only used it for a couple of weeks before bub grew out of it - Harness near the legs is not afjustable and thus digs into my baby's legs a bit - Sunshade regularly pops offSimilar opinion? Hi Britax. I have receieved the britax safe n sound unity neos capsule. I read above about adaptors to suit a baby jogger city select pram (which is the pram I have) and followed the link however I noticed it states for model 40/A/2013. The capsule I have says 40/B/2013. Will the adaptors work for this capsule or is there adaptors that will? Thank you
