Cooks really unevenly, buttons stopped working, out of warranty now so it's made to last just 3 year
This microwave looks pretty good, no complaints on that part. I have had issues with the buttons not functioning, I have a few issues with the cooking where if I put frozen veggies in it, it's actually so uneven to the point where it will have frozen food in the middle and boiling hot food on the edges! The big capacity is great but means nothing when it won't cook anything evenly. This microwave is only good for reheating pasta or any food you can stir halfway.

Went brilliantly for three years and four months, then burned out
I don't usually do a long cook in a microwave, but I was running three frozen meals thru, one after another. And the micro died. Just popped and blacked out. It was extremely hot underneath so it was good it did not catch fire. Lucky thing is for some reason I bought an extended warranty when I bought it. So I'll be chasing that up on Monday. Anyway, it was perfect until today.

Can't see a thing
Bought the brand first and then the features but we were never told that you can't see a bloody thing when cooking; as the interior surface is a dark finish and the light globe would probably serve better in a torch.
Samsung have been around for many years and they have the gaul to put this microwave cooker on the market and literally playing the publice for fools. Samsung ME6144ST is very poorly designed as far as lighting up the interior for viewing the article being cooked is concerned, you can't see whats cooking.

Large capacity
It's holds the largest of my utensils easily. It has a one minute button for fast use. Can press this repeatedly to increase the time easily. Also has a good defrost function plus useful auto cook selections. It is easy to clean but one draw back that it is hard to view items through the window

great family size
Our Panasonic died after a few good years and needed to replace it. Checked online and decided on the Samsung. Unfortunately, didn't measure the space in the microwave recess first but I think it would be too small for most large microwaves. So ended up putting it in the pantry...seems to work great and now I have the cook books up in the recess...

It is ok
I bought it more than 8 months actually, just using for thawing and warming up food. Once I use it to grill a half of chicken, but it take me 40 mins to finish it!!! I also used it to grill rice cakes and it worked very well, both of cake side is really crunchy and have beautiful colour

Compact style that cooks
There are alot of tech specs out there for this device that you can read up on, so I'll make it simple.
It's has a very simple interface that uses a scroll knob. It has many sensors to auto cook your food, it looks very modern, and is very compact. You should note this unit needs some space for cooling around it, so you can't mount it.
The sensors aren't my cup of tea, I'm old-school. I like to set my own times for cooking. But the sensors work well from testing and if your into that, you will be happy. Just tell it what your cooking, set it and forget it.
Just a great small package that looks awesome and works very very well. Love it.

Good
I only use 1000 Watt and the microwave unit delivers the same cooking results all the time.
The microwave is quieter than the other microwaves I have endured in the past. The microwave looks sturdy and well built, however, this can be said for the 50 dollar microwaves as well.

It is ok for heating, but not good for thawing
The heating work very good, i could boil a little bit water in 30 seconds only. However, the thawing function work too bad. I did choose the highest level but the meat around 100g only take 5 minutes to be thawed. And I hate the "peep" noise when it finish, quite annoying

Worst product ever
Originally bought the product from Jb hi fi, it worked ok for the first month and then all of a sudden it started to make loud squeaking noise every time it was used. Returned and got another piece thinking that this time it should be good but again after 3 months it did the same thing. Returned the product after an argument and bought another brand. Do not recommend this machine.

Fantastic microwave
The microwave was bought to replace a microwave that was broken in the move, it has done a fantastic job in warming up all different types of food, from meat, soups, pasta to rice with no issues. It isn't very complicated to use and it definitely a well-built microwave that I would recommend to anyone look for one.

I purchased this microwave 3years ago. Used for 3 years, don't have any issue yet. Good enough for simple Microwave user. The noise level of this microwave is ok, the only thing I don't like it the noise when you close the microwave door sometimes wake my babe up

Useful product
Nice looking and great build in size. All features are easy to understand and use. However, the build in light is not really bright. Personally I like the thing bright up. But someone may love the light. The buttons are not very sensitive, you always need to press hardly. It is great silver and black colour matching and make it looks elegant.

Not the best
It works fine for the price, the light bulb died after just 6 months of use, did not bother changing it, other than that it's fine. The built quality of the buttons are not the best quality, it goes with the price range. It's not too loud during normal operation.

MEAN MACHINE
Fabulous machine looks fantastic! Pre set cook settings do a fantastic job especially the potato setting. Manual is easy to understand and has some great hints. Easy to clean parts and internal and external surfaces easy to wipe clean. Large interior great for large casseroles or soup. Defrost feature is uncomplicated and efficient without cooking the food in the process. Great for re heating meals. Just love it!!

Great little microwave
This is a good microwave for home use. Has plenty of options for cooking, heating and defrosting. Easy to use for basic reheating functions but like all microwaves it requires studying of the manual to make use of the more complex features, like cooking for example. Not the lightest or quietest in the market but it does the job and looks well

ok
takes a while to heat up food for a 1100W microwave.
has basic features that will do the basic things a microwave needs to do, though it is quite load and beeps a lot - it will re beep if you forget to take the food out of the microwave.

Very happy with my ME6144ST !
Had this microwave now coming up 5 years now & it works exactly as the day I bought it. I love the interior being baked enamel as it makes cleaning a breeze & it doesn't deteriorate like normal painted interior surfaces that many microwaves seem to have.
Does EVERYTHING I want a microwave to do ... and looks great too, easy to match into any kitchen !

Fabulous basic microwave for the price
I bought this 40L stainless steel microwave from The Good Guys at the end of 2016. For a 40L microwave, it was very similar in price to 30L and other smaller microwaves - so why not get a bigger one?
Samsung had two 40L microwaves to choose from at the store. This model, and the Samsung 40L 1000W Neo Stainless Steel Microwave (MS40J5133BT/SA). I chose this as it is easy to use with basic functions - essentially just what I needed.

ook meat or fish, as I find even with sensors, it is easiest for me to cook these in slow or pressure cookers, in the oven, or stove top. Hence, this unit is ideal for basic microwaving, which I think the designers aimed for. I find it well built with an attractive stainless border - any more stainless, and it would need a lot more cleaning for finger prints. The push button door works well too. Not too rough on fingertips. I do find that the programming buttons are relatively easy to push and operate. If you are an enthusiastic cook, you may push the unit back if you press the buttons too strongly. My gauge for microwave effectiveness/penetration is how well a store-bought bag of popcorn is popped. In this model, the popcorn worked really effectively with the top time frame on the packet, or even with an extra 30sec. For the designers - I love the 1 minute extra button rather than 30sec, especially for reheating, but I really dislike that the glass is hard to see through when cooking with the black - that could be improved and is why I have given 1 star less than full marks.Similar opinion?
