how can the bose ( I have Bose Sound Touch) system be connected with this TV??

Hi - Can't you use the USB or other ports available on the system?

Brewster

Unsure of what model Bose Sound Touch you have, however if it has b/tooth should not be an issue connecting to the TV.
Alternatively you could try running it through your Amplifier to the TV via HDMI cable.
I know the system settings on the TV are difficult to work through at the best of times, I messed around for an hour or so setting up the Bluetooth headphones.
Hope this helps.

why can't I watch a program and record at the same time and why can't I record more than I program at a time?

I assume you mean you want to watch one program and record another in the first half of your question? It's not possible because this TV only has one tuner built in.

Can you use a wireless keyboard on this tv?

Yep, you can pair a Bluetooth keyboard to the TV. Annoyingly though, you get a pop up message whenever you reconnect the keyboard to the TV, which means every time you switch the keyboard back on.

what is the refresh rate

Hi Philstv, I believe it’s 60hz, so ok for fast moving sport, but there are better. We have a Q7F for our main tv which is superior. But the price point for the 6100 is pretty good for what you get.

Thanks Jason - so you are saying that for fast moving images - like a cricket ball - the higher the Refresh Rate the better the tracking without a trail??

Can you still control the volume via the tv remote of an external sound system when using the digital optical output connection?

Yes you can, you have to set up the Universal Remote function though. I have mine set to control the volume of my Yamaha receiver, although the Universal Remote function stops working whenever I switch to an HDMI source.

Have just set up and cant get the volume to move off of 20....if I hit the volume button it just mutes...then if I hit it again takes me back to sound but still on 20...Any ideas?

This may sound really obvious, but are you using the volume up down buttons on the left side of the remote, or the speaker looking button that mutes? I haven't had that issue, but if it continues I'd try and see if there are any updates you can download for the TV. The Samsung helpline people are also very good.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

If you push the volume button down, it mutes. If you push it forward (toward the top of the remote) it increases the volume. Push it towards the bottom of the remote to decrease the volume.

Can you record tv with this tv? Can you record more than one channel at once? Do you plug in your own USB storage stick to record on? And...can you play .MKV movies that you already have from a USB storage device?

1 answer
JodieAnne
JodieAnne

Yes, you can record onto a storage device via USB. You cannot watch another channel at the same time and you can only record one channel at a time. I'm unsure of watching .MKV movies as I don't have any files that are .MKV to test it out for you. I hope this helps

I have bought Samsung UA43M6100. Within a week I face issue of intermittent loss of sound. The Samsung technician said cause is because it is not set default factory settings. I am still facing issue of intermittent sound loss after he reset to default factory settings.
Have you faced a similar issue. What is the solution?
Thanks Sunita

We have a 65" so not sure if that would make a difference or not. We have not had any intermittent sound issues at all. We have had it set on both factory settings and now a personalised setting with no problems. I hope you get the help you need. Cheers Jodie-Anne

Does this come with a touch sensitive remote controlling a cursor on the screen?

1 answer

NO!!
Having an earlier Samsung which does have this feature, I gad assumed it would be included, like on the LG. I won't make the mistake again.
Tried a wireless keyboard/touchpad, but only the keyboard part functioned.

I have given up on Sony. All products I have had of theirs fail early or are glitchy. People say oh you only have to reboot it or let it power down. But other brands you don't have to. Sony just seem to design it quite right. I'd go the Samsung.

I've had my Sony TV for over 4 years and I've never had a problem with. I mainly buy don't to go with my PlayStation. My PlayStation 1 that Sony made in 90s still works. Lol. Sony mobiles I will say stay away from. But my TV has handled everything that's been threw at it. Because I mainly game on it, it's on for 6 hours min a time. That's not including watch TV through the day.

Has anyone had any issues with light bleed or flash lighting on the mu6100? I bough the 55inc one yesterday and around the edges there is quite a bit of clouding during dark scenes or credits. Does anyone know how to fix it? How much is too much and should I take it back for replacement?

That doesn't sound good. I have not had an issue. I would think a replacement is in order.

This has been happening with mine since I bought it. No one understands what I am trying to say or describe this occurrence.
They have been dragging out the customer service until it is too late to send it back but today I gave up waiting and have demanded a refund.
I understand totally the frustration that you have. I hardly watch any tv because of this shadowing.
All the best no one will understand what you are saying. they didn't believe me as well. all the best.
